So many people complain about capitalism “Christmasing” too early (starting in October-ish), but I’d argue that “Halloweening” is an even bigger offender for being too early, because I’ve been seeing candy corn in grocery stores already (July 10th). I bet the only reason why us Americans don’t hate Halloweening too early as much as Chistmasing is because there are no major American holidays between July 10th and October 31st that Halloween “gets in the way” of, while Christmasing gets in the way of both Halloween and Thanksgiving.
