To start, "whiteness" has no empirical, real definition. Race is a social construct and the goalposts shift constantly. Ethicity and genetics are measurable and real even if the taxonomy thereof is still subjective. but race? formalized social classes based on phrenology and bias.

The people who decide who is and isn't "really White", are the people who want to decide who is the ingroup, and who is the outgroup. ie white supremacists.

now, a Jew can -appear- White, that is to say, conform to the social expectations and stereotypes. lots of Jews are White passing. however, the privileges you gain are immediately reversed should your outsider nature be revealed. justifications will be found or invented after the fact (your nose is too big, your hair too curly, you're unhygeinic, etc etc).

on top of this, at the core of most streams of White supremacy is antisemitism: the Jew is the enemy, thus by definition cannot be of the White Race.

Antisemitism has always existed but it’s never felt this fucking exhausting to be Jewish in all my 21 years of life. Five years ago my non Jewish friends were empathetic when I told them about antisemitism I experienced and now I know I can’t even discuss it with them five years ago I could draw fan art of fictional characters celebrating Hanukkah without getting death threats five years ago I could hang out in niche hobby spaces without seeing someone crochet a Star of David with a slash through it five years ago there weren’t posts on my city’s subreddit minimizing and denying the Holocaust and saying it doesn’t need to be taught in schools five years ago I could wear my Magen David necklace without being spat on five years ago I assumed I could have friendships with people who aren’t Jewish and now I feel like I’m constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop or for them to “find out” my “secret” like fuck man. Like for ed Sheeran, he explains how he brings his voice forward in the mouth, while Adam Levine sings in the back of the mouth, stuff like that. Hello, tumblr! I saw something on here the other day that worried me, so I decided to Do Science about it. But I can't do it alone: I need your help to build the dataset!

Here's what I need you to do:

If you see a post with a "mature content" label, and it's 2026, DM me a link to the post.

Yes, that's really it.

I am hoping to collect several thousand such posts, so that I have a decent sized dataset. I do not care what the post is about; if it's labeled as "mature content", I want to add it to my dataset.

If I get 10,000 posts in my dataset before August 31st 2026, I will post my preliminary findings then. I won't feel comfortable calling my findings "settled" before 2027, unless I get over 50,000 posts.

Yes, those are perfect for what I'm looking for. I actually need to do some processing on a post to make it useful for testing my hypothesis, and this makes it easy.

Are you looking for "potentially mature content" also, or just "mature content"?

I want both, please. Anything that throws up a blocking screen that you have to click through. The distinctions between them are one of the things I am hoping to study.

Does it matter when the post was made originally?

Technically no. There's no way to respond to this without introducing some bias in the results, and I don't want that. However, I do collect some data on a post as part of making it useful to me, and that data is easier to collect if the post is recent.

What if I request content label review on a post after I send it to you?

I need to see the mature content label to be able to use the post. Because the mature content label hides the content of the post, it is very hard to use a post that no longer has a mature content label. You could send me a screenshot, but people could use that to lie to me.

Basically, it's more work for you to make it usable to me.

So I do 3D modeling and printing as a hobby, and a few weeks ago I designed wheel guards meant to prevent office chairs from running over cables and clothes... or your pet's tail.

I got the idea from cowcatchers old locomotives used to have.

Anyways, yesterday I uploaded the model to Thingiverse, and just hours after uploading it, the Community Relationship Manager of the whole website left a comment suggesting I enter the model into a competition that's currently being held on the site.

So I did... and now it's in third place not even a day later. First place is $500, but the competition still has a month to go.

Then the Community Manager contacted me again, telling me they want to feature my model in an upcoming design promotion.

Just, what is happening? I mostly made this thing for myself in, like, an hour, and now it's suddenly super popular? This is all a little bit overwhelming 😵‍💫

Other models I worked on for weeks didn't get nearly as popular. I swear, it's impossible to predict what people will like.
