I just finished The Foxhole Court, which I’ve been trying to read for years, and I couldn’t remember exactly which Tumblr account recommended it to me and I worked backwards through screenshots and memories of what the page looked like to realize it was you and some posts you made like three years ago and I want you to know that book was mindblowingly insane and also I haven’t stopped thinking about it since the second I finished it and it’s almost a problem and also I need to get the second book as soon as humanly possible and also I loved it so goddamn much

i had to go back and reread this to realize that you meant you've only read the FIRST BOOK so far, and for some reason that's totally mind-blowing to me. you have no idea what you're in for and i'm so worried for you but also so excited for you because i wish i could go back and read that trilogy for the first time, it's WILD lemme tell you. you've got a storm coming your way my friend

@sohotthateveryonedied I’m BACK I’ve READ The Raven King I’m LOSING my SHIT!!!!!!!! I’m falling to the floor and screaming!!! I’m throwing up!!!!!!!! I read absolutely no trigger warnings and I’m glad for that decision but I am freaking out!!!! I was freaking out the whole book!!!!! And there’s still The King’s Men to go!!!!!!!

I literally cannot live a normal life my every thought is about Andrew Minyard and Neil Josten is like my own son MY BOY he doesn’t realize anyone likes him and everyone loves him my child!!! The banquet scene almost fucking killed me THEY KNEW HIM and Kevin found out and I met Jean who I am told is going to come back big time and it was a constant scene of terror for me and Neil thought about running but DIDN’T because he trusts Andrew and he loves his FAMILY oh my gods they’re his family I’m going to start crying they love him he loves them!!! Family!!! And then going to visit Nicky’s family and everything went to shit and I had to go outside and do normal things like Aaron and Andrew didn’t just have the closest sibling moment so far!!! Dysfunctional siblings are literally my favorite trope and I fear no pair of siblings have been this insane for a while and certainly not canonically where everyone can see them!!!! I have fallen over and I’m screaming!!!

I am told (scrolled on Tumblr too far, spoilers) that Andrew and Neil kiss (presumably on the lips) and also someone gets tortured but I guess that’s in the third book because I am Always Expecting it and it never comes

Andrew is insane and I love him so deeply though I am aware if I met him in real life I would almost definitely dislike him intensely but he’s just so funny and crazy and brings such a feeling of safety in that he’s the scariest thing in the room and so whenever he’s there I feel better for Neil’s chances at life. We’ve learned why he hates the word misunderstandings but not yet the word please and based on the first one’s history, I am Worried

Andrew and Aaron my dysfunctional siblings I love you so much and a clear-headed, intentional hug in the last book may kill me. Nicky is wonderful and is Trying His Best I believe in him. Kevin needs someone to kill his abusers and I believe in Andrew and Neil to work together to accomplish this. Neil Josten you are like a son to me. Wymack you are a true Parental Figure to these children and you are saving their lives. (Also Neil is going to fix that team he will unite them!! I have faith!!) Dan and Matt have never done anything wrong and I appreciate them as stable figures that I can cling to in times of strife. Allison and Renee have grown on me significantly (mostly Renee) and now I love with all the Foxes like they’re my own children I wish them so much hope and kindness and glory and they need to get that even if they probably won’t on the kindness bit. I’m going to fall over. Book too good. Characters too cool. I can’t in good conscience recommend this book to any of my friends but it kills me every day that I have no one to talk to about it
