I HAVE WAITED ALL YEAR TO POST THIS
i do not ghost purposely i just have no idea what to say ever
This is about Sci-Hub. yeah we get it.. gatekeep knowledge and protect the interests of capital…
Listen, this is serious.
Do not use the website called Sci-Hub!
It lets people access scientific articles for free. This is dangerous. It helps the free flow of knowledge and reduces the competitive edge of all the people who worked really hard to have been born into a wealth.
Like, it’s literally a website where you can type in the DOI of an article and read it, without ever having to pay the publisher who exploited the author.
So, again, do not, under any circumstance, use Sci-Hub. I mean, can you imagine a world where knowledge is free and easily accessible to everyone? Even, y'know, poor people?
Libgen also has many books online, including textbooks, searchable by name, author, and ISBN. Can you imagine textbook companies not getting their hard-earned income from poor college students? Here is the link just so you make sure that you never accidentally stumble across this horrible, unethical website.
Oh, and while we’re talking about books, if you’ve managed to stay clear from Libgen, definitely don’t go to zlibrary, where you can also find a lot of textbooks, but unfortunately they’re completely free.
Reblogging so you know which sites to totally avoid
i am begging y’all to just stay home and leave us the FUCK alone
Bitch I am neck deep in that warm bread before the basket touches the table.
why the fuck would i eat cold bread when i could eat warm bread
People who do this - How is sitting around a table staring at a basket of bread while it cools “classy”? You look like fools. Eat your warm bread.
Was just informed by my mom that I do in fact have ADHD and the reason I thought I didn’t was because ever since I was seven whenever I got super energetic my mom would have me go chop wood so now when I’m feeling The ADHD I go chop wood and I thought it was just some sort of routine I started when I was little and wanted to blow off steam
I’d also like to point out that my sister has a really hard time staying present (I can’t remember the term because we’ve always called it Tethered at my house) and whenever she’s feeling Untethered my mom has her knead bread and make syrup because they’re repetitive and easy things to do that ground her
Now that I’m thinking about it- my brother has days where he doesn’t talk and doesn’t eat unless he’s prompted, and on those days my mom sits him down in the fish pond in the backyard and plays Mozart and because he’s so used to that being his wake up he always comes back in after like an hour rambling about random things
Oh yeah and when it rains my mom has a required hour where we all have to go outside and run around and whoever finds the most worms for the garden wins and then we go inside and my mom makes us tea and we watch Studio Ghibli movies
Wait!!! When one of us has a bad day at school we make a fire in the backyard and roast homemade sausages and my mom tells us stories until we laugh and then she tucks is in bed like we’re five again and sings us songs
Uh.... wait guys is my mom a witch raising a bunch of fae kids hold on-
“I didn’t know I had adhd because my mom gave me such an effective coping mechanism” is such a high bar to clear and she soared over it like a space-plane.

man the Appalachian mountains really aren’t shit huh
The Rockies are new, young and virile and fresh from the Laramide orogeny, tall and lanky teenagers on the geological scale. the Appalachian mountains are old, formed hundreds of millions of years ago before dinosaurs walked the Earth. They are ancients, elders, witnesses to half a billion years of life coming and going. To be tall is not a virtue. To be small is not a sin. The Appalachians are eroding under the weight of time, slowly shrinking and returning to the Earth from which they sprang. Appreciate them while they are still here.
I do want to say real quick again about the age of the Appalachians…
They said “before dinosaurs,” but we have a cave here that began forming between 450 million to 550 million years ago.
There are no bones in that cave. No fossils. No nothing.
That’s because this cave began forming before bones existed on land, and had only just started to exist in the ocean. Shellfish hadn’t evolved yet. Limestone, which forms many caves, was just starting to become a more prevalent rock.
The mountains aren’t older than dinosaurs. They are older than bones.
see that little lump up at the top of minnesota? the sawtooth mountains? so small most places would just call them hills?
those are over a billion years old.
that’s why they’re so small. they’re the last ancient remnants of a lava flow 5 miles thick. the lava didn’t kill any dinosaurs. or any fish. or any animals at all. because there were no animals. you know what there was?
algae.
those mountains were 5 miles tall when the most advanced life on earth was algae.
so i’m just gonna go ahead and keep calling them mountains, even though all you need to climb them is hiking shoes and a nice afternoon. because a place where you can crouch down and touch basalt that was lava before leaves were invented deserves some respect.
The earth is unfathomably ancient, and you garner no love from her when you insult her eldest children.
I love this post so much. We need to love and respect the Earth we live on. We need her and we shouldn’t hurt her with words or actions.
I live my life under the basic principle that people know their minds, bodies, genders, and orientations better than I do so I just take them at their word when they say they are a thing.
“But people could be faking for-” I don’t care. I would rather show someone a kindness they don’t need than not show them one they do.
obsessed with bed.. i love bed. obsessed with pillows blankets and such literally love sleeping
the nature of humanity is that friend groups in public being very loud is obnoxious and annoying and need to be more mindful of others but my friend group in public being loud is joyful and lively and everyone giving us looks is a miserable friendless Grinch that needs to appreciate life
stop being pretentious in the notes and acting like you've never been annoyed by the same behavior u exhibit with your friends <3 nature of humanity is that we're all simultaneously the loud children in the street AND the grumpy annoyed old man who doesn't return footballs
nature of humanity is that we're all big fat hypocrites! thank you
ok i’ve stopped being angry now and this is a good take that well articulates what i think about liverpool against city
Said it before me but pep walked into a great team, klopp helped create one! No comparing the 2. When your bench matches the quality of your regular starting 11 you should be the greatest. Pep couldn’t have done what klopp done!
you can take it back further, peps taken charge of three of the richest clubs in the world and inherited the best players with them, barca, bayern and city were already successful before he got there
jurgen got mainz promoted, took over a bang average dortmund and made them league winners and sustained that improved quality for a few years and then did the same with liverpool all with barely any money compared to their direct competition
you can’t compare the two because they’ve never been on a level playing field, like pep is obviously a good manager but so would i if I had the teams and money he did and i have no fucking idea what i’m talking about, i truly don’t believe he could have done what jurgen has

Im immune to guilt trippy "hey reblog this, I see you ignoring this" posts. it could be the best take I've ever read in my life and then as soon as it finishes its statement with "everyone must reblog this" I black out and vaporize the post from my memory. what were you talking about? who knows who cares I'm looking at something else now
kind of obsessed with the new trend of sites like buzzfeed using terms like “lying” and “fooling you” regarding storylines/couples/film techniques in movies and tv. wandavision is gaslighting you into thinking superheroes are real! this actor had a stunt double do this particular stunt, he TRICKED you! these actors LIED and made you think that they’re together when ACTUALLY they’re married to other people!
i don’t know how to tell you this buzzfeed but sometimes fictional stories are fictional
ok no i have more to say about this
it’s that fuckin CinemaSins instinct to go “haha, i know more than the filmmakers! rose from titanic wasn’t a real person, DING that’s a sin! the blood and guts in the saw movies is actually corn syrup, DING that’s a sin! they weren’t smart enough to FOOL ME, which is the point of movies! to fool and trick the audience! ding!”
and that then feeds into the instinct from filmmakers to erase immersion from narrative storytelling, the same reasoning behind the joss whedon bullshit trend of characters pointing out how their own stories don’t make sense in the hope of preempting their own audience, wrecking their own suspension of disbelief out of the fear that the audience will, the “why are we singing?” moment in musicals, the “they can fly now?” moment in Star Wars, the immediate scramble to explain and explain until you’re not left with a story, you’re left with a Wikipedia summary. and it fucking sucks.
tldr it’s okay to watch movies and let yourself believe, for 1 hour 55 minutes, that superheroes are real, or that a monster might destroy a fictional city. you’re allowed to buy the chemistry between two characters without thinking “these two people would never get along in real life”. not everything has to have a bulletproof plot with 10000% realism. it’s okay to let fiction be fictional without feeling tricked or fooled by it.
YES! say THIS!!
