Fairy Godmother sees Harry and Uma playfully sparring after classes and makes the mistake of asking Uma to ask Harry to join the R.O.A.R. team, which immediately offends both of them because Uma was the one who was winning, so why does Fairy Godmother want Harry? Cue Uma finding out that only one girl is allowed on the school's R.O.A.R. team and starting her own team to rival theirs.

Uma's team only allows one boy. She intends for the boy to be Harry, but as soon as word gets out about the team she's forming, she gets a lot of guys who want to sign up.

Which pleases Harry, because he gets to fight for his spot, and attacking people who try to steal Uma's attention from him is one of his greatest hobbies.

“Before you say anything,” The Principal interjects right as soon as Red opens her mouth. “A little colorful bird told one of my pirates that you did push her first and that Chloe Charming was yelling at you to stop.”

Squinting, Red clenches her jaw and hisses. “I’m gonna kill Dizzy.”

“Here’s what’s happening," Uma clasps her hands together. “You have detention."

Thinking Uma's anger was always rooted in the fact that someone with the power and influence to change the system would not use it for the benefit of others.

And now she’s “someone with the power and influence to change the system” she’s changing the enrollment system of Auradon Prep to welcome more students from Auradon and outside of kingdoms.

Gotta love this consistency of her character. Uma and the word hypocrisy never will be in the same sentence.

What 👏🏽 did 👏🏽 Audrey 👏🏽 even 👏🏽 do 👏🏽 wrong in the first Descendants that Jane didn’t also do?

Because yes, Audrey was flawed and prejudiced, but so was Jane. Jane didn’t become receptive to the VKs until Mal offered her something; her white-person-crossing-the-street-to-avoid-black-person energy wasn’t morally better than Audrey’s shady comments, and in the one out-of-nowhere scene where Audrey suddenly goes from passive aggressive to directly mean, Jane is right there with her. Yet the movies (and certain fans 👀) forgive Jane’s actions completely but make Audrey a long term villain. As I often say, I like Jane, but people who love her and hate Audrey might need to ask themselves why that is.

It was in her first scene in the first movie. I don't remember the exact line, but it was something like, "I saw what you did to Jane's hair, and I know we've never met and...you're evil...but, do you think you can do the same for mine?"

Like, she wasn't being mean to them, and she maybe gets props for interacting with them pretty normally other than that comment, but it does speak to a kind of prejudice. (The moment where she cried for them over the cookies might have been intended as a growth moment for her.)
