Summary:
"This author is surprised yet delighted to announce that the most eligible bachelor of the Capitol, Viscount Haymitch Abernathy, has finally decided to settle down. Yes, dear reader, youāre not mistaken ā Panemās most notorious Rake is looking for a wife, and anyone can see, clear as day, that the most suitable match would be with the Diamond of the season, Miss Proserpina Trinket.
That Miss āProsieā, as most call her, already has almost every gentleman wrapped around her finger is old news. However, it would be recommended for her to not take so long to accept a proposal, at the risk of them losing interest and moving on to the next best thing, as men so often do.
Perhaps the reason for the delay is that sheās waiting for the Viscount to quit stalling and do more than just ask for a dance. In that case, who can blame her?
This author can only hope that, when he does, he manages to charm Miss Trinket. No, not Proserpina. Her older sister ā Euphemia, who appears to be a bit excessive in her overprotectiveness.
May the odds be ever in your favor, Viscount Abernathy. Youāre going to need it."
The concept of Pink of Hearts seeing her older sister leave for a school she can't attend, then seeing said sister comes back radically different to the point where she won't even hug her back, then learning that is not the Red she grew up with, and that her sister, the girl she grew up with is basically dead, needing to process the grief while also acting normal and keeping the secret that your sister is not your sister. Then also seeing her mother getting kidnapped and her kingdom being taken over by a madman for who her fake sister probably has a soft spot because in another timeline they were friends. All the while, let me remind you, she's grieving her sister because she will never gets the version of Red she grews up with ever again.
Just realized it's been exactly 2 years since I drew my first (colored) design of Mary I (p3&4) so I'm finally writing down some of the details of her design!
Most recent drawing (November 2025)
The gradient in her hair from orange to reddish brown is actually a really important part of her design. She originally has orange hair as a kid (p2) but later it begins to turn to this dark red due to stress and stuff. I know it doesn't just make a gradient but bear with me hereš Also I wanted to make an obvious difference in hair colors although the 4 are all ginger
She has those classic pale & piercing blue eyes and they fit her vibes so well. They were more saturated in color when she was younger
Thin eyebrows (referencing her portraits)
Her hair style didn't change much. It's in a bun in the back, usually covered by her headpiece
The one on the right is a combination of the current and first designs. In the original design, she has clip-on earrings in the shape of a mirror and a candlestick (the Bloody Mary urban legend). I don't draw the earrings quite often because her hair just covers them up, but I like them a lot
Usually calmer than she appears to be, but she frowns a lot so the expression just kinda sticks on her face. Peak rbf
Older designs under the cut
Mary during her childhood (March 2025)
Her hair is orange like Elizabeth, only slightly darker than hers
For clothes I just copied a childhood portrait of her, but that's lowkey how I do all my designs
First designs (January 2024)
At this time I still had most of her designs based on SIX so it's like a costume version? Therefore I gave her a flaming crown and stage makeup
Me before I figured out how perfect (and more accurate) it'd be to let her have terrifying blue eyes
In my High School AU (as a cat)

Aragon needs to lock her in a room when the group meets up so she doesn't see Anne Boleyn. She finds a way to break out.
