tqt is such a special series to me esp as an enjoyer of women characters and even more esp women characters who aren’t perfect victims.

irene and helen get angry and lash out with violence. they fall in love and make huge costly mistakes motivated by personal flaws. they’re dangerous, brilliant, and clever - and both learn to weaponize those traits in different ways in order to survive the patriarchal systems over which they rule. they’ve also both almost definitely pegged their husbands, one of whom is kind of a god sometimes

their arc of going from enemy queens to allies and eventually family will live like a warm little campfire in my heart for the rest of my life, and i just want to hug mwt’s neck for bringing them into existence

I miss when shows had proper 20 episode seasons, I hate how modern show seasons are barely longer than six episodes— you want Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I want a show with queer representation where the queer characters arent some one off tertiary person but are major protagonists, get to have personalities that aren’t caricatures and that actually get to have long-term relationships on screen— you want Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I want a show with complex, realistic, interesting and flawed characters who go through major character arcs throughout the length of the sho— you want Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I miss when shows had fun filler episodes, I want episodes where there is no main plot and its all just vibes— you want Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I want a show with well written strong female characters who have their own stories and are not reduced to plot devices or motivations for men— you want Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
