same with how “i want a lawyer” is used to indicate someones guilt, and how people in cop shows only say that when they know theyve been caught.

Yup. In reality, if you’re being questioned by the police, the best bet you have is to say nothing EXCEPT “I want a lawyer,” until you have a lawyer, have talked privately and confidentially with that lawyer, and your lawyer has told you what you should say (which may very well still be absolutely nothing).

I will add a small caveat that if it’s something like giving a statement about, say, witnessing a car accident or whatever, that’s a bit different. But if you’re in custody? Shut the hell up for your own good. It’s not “guilty,” it’s SMART, and don’t let cops or cop shows convince you otherwise.

I agree, disabled isn't a dirty word. But I can't say that for my own language. Saying disabled in my language is basically the same as saying r*tared. There's not even a second word that has this meaning it's literally just "disabled". It's used as a synonym for things that you dislike. I am ashamed to say "I am disabled" in my own language because of that.

Huh, I didn’t think about what it would be like in other languages. What language do you speak? And is there another word that’s used in your language?

this is just a random side note about binders since that seems to be todays topic; pls dont wear your binder on an airplane!!! since your ribcage expands when you go up in altitude to compensate for the thinner air, your binder that may fit well normally might start to get too tight and you might not be able to breathe. do NOT i repeat do NOT wear a binder on an airplane. i know it sucks and can be very hard bc of dysphoria but would you rather be unbinded or suffocating?
