WHO ELSE ARE YOU KEEPING FROM ME!?!
Nearly there . . .
I'm nearing completion of the next chapter of Blackbird, Fly. It's at nearly 10,000 words, but then, it is the climax of the book. I'll have one more chapter of denouement, an epilogue pointing to the future for our heroes, and an appendix.
The reason I'm giving you the heads up is that this particular chapter does rely on some canonical and in-story memory. Readers familiar with the first two series of the BBC Sherlock have already done their homework. But there are some scenes from Ten Days, The Slash Man, and Blackbird, Fly that are being referenced that readers may have forgotten (because this book so so long).
That said, it might do you well to refresh your memories of the following chapters:
Ten Days, end of chapter 29 and beginning of 30.
The Slash Man, chapter 32 (particularly the end).
Blackbird, Fly, chapter 25 (also the end).
No guilt if you don't want to go back to these. Just a recommendation for orienting yourselves to the structure of this latest chapter.
Posting soon.
It's happening!!!!
Wow I’ve made more it seems. Cause hELP ME
Also another bonus Mystrade one!!! Cause I saw this post and immediately went Oh Greg.
These are so good.

Unremarkable
It's an unremarkable day. John has a date. Sherlock has a case. And both Mycroft and Rosie have just been shoved into the boot of a car.
A 2024 Fandom Trumps Hate gift for @podfixx!
Chapter 1 of 5 is now posted!
Chapter 4 is up!
In which Mycroft is forced to take action.
This is complete and y'all should read it.

Will somebody be so kind to write this? Such a cool idea :D
As OP I second that request!!! Please, someone? Anyone?
I miss gif storytelling.
Mycroft goes for what he wants promptly.
The “Christmas dinners” one is also a hoot.
Look at how soft Greg looks… I don’t think Mycroft will able to talk coherently the moment he lays his eyes on this Greg
I don’t want to lose this so I’m reblogging

It’s done! It’s done! Chapter 7 is up.
Written for @thetimemoves, who bid on me in the @fandomtrumpshate charity auction.
The years march ever onward. Seven years ago today I posted the last chapter of (Never) Turn Your Back to the Sea.
Every year around this time I get a little sentimental about it, so I’m going to reblog some things that make my heart happy today. <3
I ADORE this fic. it’s SO good. READ IT!!
Seven years, seven times re-read. Such a classic. If you have not read it yet, then do. @discordantwords’ amazing story cannot be missed.
Beautiful story. ❤️
This story has such depth. It's stunning.
Fandom Trumps Hate: Lilies Across the Water by AlgySwinburne
Lilies Across the Water (6770 words) by AlgySwinburne Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: Sherlock (TV) Rating: Mature Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Sherlock Holmes/John Watson Additional Tags: Friends to Lovers, Injury, Doctor John Watson, Bathing/Washing, Awkwardness, Fandom Trumps Hate Summary: John sets a more necessary intention: being Dr Watson. Providing a helping hand; being a caretaker. Sherlock is nothing but his patient. And since Sherlock’s hair is amply wet from the failed shower attempt, John gets right to work, back down to his knees, lathering the shampoo between the palms of his hands before pushing his hand through Sherlock’s curls, kneading the shampoo in with the pads of his fingers. “Mm,” Sherlock hums after a few moments, which makes John hedge a glance, finding that Sherlock has his eyes closed, his face already slack and relaxed. (Making the patient comfortable.) After using the detachable shower head to wash off the shampoo, John marches on to the conditioner, sinking fingers into the hair at the nape of Sherlock’s neck, skating up under the curve of his skull and scratching at Sherlock’s scalp. “Yes,” Sherlock purrs. “Good?” John asks, scratching back and forth, back and forth. (Well-mannered bedside manner.)

I gave Algy an idea for Fandom Trumps Hate and they RAN with it. This story has humor and comfort and awkwardness and all the goodies that can't help but make you smile. You will absolutely love it (and all of Algy's other works too!).
