transadrophobia and/or anti-transmisogyny discourses. i think, as a transmasculine person, i have a complicated relationship to transphobia and misogyny that may be expressed or analyzed by some people proposing the idea of transandrophobia, but i think a lot of these people also engage in harmful or exclusionary rhetoric concerning the trans women we are in community with, which is not something i stand for

ship or other fandom discourses, including pro-/anti-ship discourses. i was involved with this side of fandom for some time, and it was counterintuitive to my mental well-being. i would prefer to keep this conversation off my page. i will state i am firmly anti-harassment though

I mean, as someone who as worked in a zoo, this is fairly true.

Obvious disclaimer that you shouldn't have wild animals as pets.

But like, cheetahs are the only large cats that keepers will do free contact with. Hell, even most small cats don't get free contact. (Because small cats can be VICIOUS. They'll have a baby pallas cat wearing thicker gloves than when handling an owl. Because small cats can just be vicious.)

Like I think the only other cat at our zoo where I've seen free contact with was servals? Because I know they've used servals in shows to demonstrate their natural jumping ability. But I know servals can sometimes have a mean temper as well. Meanwhile they'll do the cheetah run and afterwards put the mic by the cheetahs and it's just like an engine with them purring. It's fascinating to watch when the message in every other large animal is "no free contact because it's dangerous even when they're born in captivity".

Legit if any wild animal could be adapted to a pet it would be cheetahs lmao. Only problem is they can be skittish and very anxious and that's why they're often raised around dogs in zoos to gain confidence.

i have people commenting and saying the things they say to include everyone but theyre still dividing people into gender categories, like saying "ladies and gentleman, and (everyone else)" and its like ok, thats probably better than just saying they/thems, but maybe I'm just southern but idk why people cant say "yall" and "folks" and other words that are made to refer to a whole group without just dividing everyone by gender. maybe in a more professional or formal setting, "esteemed guests" or just "everyone". "people"? idk why we need to do this at all. like there can be funny ones but there are words specifically the purpose of referring to a group of people of mixed/unknown genders

This sounds like a shitpost but people should be allowed to be horny. As in, sexuality is just part of life for most people and there’s no reason for consensual sexual behavior to be punished. A celebrity getting “caught” at a sex club shouldn’t be a scandal. No one should be fired for having a fetlife profile outside of work. Nudes getting leaked shouldn’t be career-ending. Denying and hiding (consensual) sexual interests doesn’t make anyone more professional, it just makes everyone more repressed. And sterilizing ourselves to be better work drones isn’t productive, it’s just creepy. I’d rather my surgeon get absolutely railed on camera and come to work in a good mood, frankly.
