Families have been losing their children because of a high level of lead in their blood. They DIE from poisoned water while youth suffer from different diseases and even prefer to stay home rather than to go to school. I’m not talking about living conditions in general.

Do not wear contact lenses if you are in a situation where you may be tear-gassed. When I went through basic training, we were warned that there was a possibility the tear gas they were using could melt contact lenses.

trouble breathing due to tear gas can cause a crisis if you have sickle cell anemia. I know this because Bahrain, which had protests, had several deaths and hospitalizations due to this. 8-year-old Jordan Jackson and his younger sister waited for their parents on a playground at Spanish Lake Primary School in Geismar, Louisiana, on November 14. A young white boy came to them and said: “You need to go back to the cotton farm.”

500 DAPL protestors will eat a Thanksgiving meal at Standing Rock — served by Jane Fonda

Actor Jane Fonda will be among a delegation of roughly 50 people from around the country who are traveling to Standing Rock to serve Thanksgiving to roughly 500 activists, indigenous people and their allies who are protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline

Fonda will serve dinner and contribute five butchered Bison and four Mongolian yurts to the Oceti Sakowin camp near Cannon Ball, North Dakota.

Judy Wicks, a local food advocate and former owner of White Dog Cafe in Philadelphia, organized the Thanksgiving meal.

As trans people, we are never going to know the true number of our dead. Reports about “trans people who were murdered this year” don’t account for closeted trans people who were killed, or trans people who committed suicide as a direct result of transphobia and transmisogyny. Even the trans people we do know about face the eradication of their identity, being wrongfully labeled as cis gay men and butch lesbians, having to be buried in clothes they wouldn’t have preferred with a name they didn’t go by on their tombstone.

To be trans is to constantly be aware that our existence is not only hated, but it’s not even something a lot of us get to keep in death. The fact that we can’t even count our dead is further proof of how real the genocide against us is.

Lol well as someone in ddlg, I am very against underage minors in the community. The community itself does not accept pedophilia OR incest. The submissive take on a child like manner, while the dominant takes on a caregiving nature. It’s a nurturing relationship, one that stays for the most part non sexual, definitely non sexual when in little space. I understand the belief that ddlg is pedophiles, I used to stand there and say the exact same thing. But seeing it from the outside and actually living it are two different things. I hope this helped someone understand the ddlg community a little better. :)

it’s not a “nurturing” relationship. it’s set up to mirror situations in real life that are inherently abusive (incest and pedophilia). if you participate in that, congratulations, you have a hand in normalizing the sexual abuse of children. what you do in the bedroom doesn’t exist in a vacuum. there’s a fucking reason why the majority of the people who participate in this kink have men acting in this controlling “caregiver” role, while women are submissive, child-like (naive), and always sexually available. this kink is just one head of a multi-faceted culture that exists to sexualize young/teenage girls and rob them of their childhood to groom them into mindless, submissive fucktoys. there’s a reason why “teen” is the most popular category of porn- porn which largely features women who are barely 18 with petite, hairless bodies wearing things commonly associated with children like pigtails and colorful socks and underwear with patterns on them and schoolgirl uniforms, getting violated by adult male “friends of the family” and teachers and other older men who are in positions of power over them. there’s a reason why, as a man ages, his most desirable age for a female partner still hovers around the “barely legal” mark. there’s a reason why adult women are pressured to shave their pubic hair and are shamed for having protruding labia- both of which are key markers of a woman’s sexual maturity -to appear more child-like. and at the same time there’s a reason why young girls are pressured to wear clothing and makeup that makes them appear older and more “fuckable”.

there’s a fucking reason why men in this culture find underage children and the things associated with them to be ‘hot’ and it isn’t safe, sane, or consensual so fuck you and your gross kink and eat my entire fucking ass thanks

I’m sure by now you’ve heard of male statutory rape victims being forced to pay child support to their rapists.

Or maybe you’ve seen how rape is made to be a joke when the victim is a young man and the rapist an older woman, often in positions of authority.

Despite it happening again.

and again.

And time and time again, we see these women receiving minimum sentences, if they get sentenced at all.

So what can we do to protect our young boys from female predators in authority positions?

1. Change the way we talk about rape. Statutory rape is still rape, and rape is NOT a gendered issue. When we gear rape prevention measures towards women, we allow cases involving men to slip through the cracks.

2. Contact your representatives to change the way we legally talk about rape. A thoughtful, articulate email or phone call on the issue could make a world of difference, especially if more than one person is writing or calling. You can find your state’s congressmen here or find your state governor and legislators’ contact info here.

3. Spread the word about resources for male victims of sexual assault. Try Male Survivor or 1 in 6. Feel free to add additional resources at the bottom of this post.

She beat a singer who was quite famous at the time because he was being a jerk to some women from her new opera troupe in Paris.

She kissed a young woman in front of everyone at a society ball, and that angered three noblemen who were there, so she beat them all in duel and fled to Brussels. Then she resumed her opera career there.

Then she returned to the Paris opera and had yet more problems with the law because she beat up her landlord.

She retired to a convent after the death of her love Madame la Marquise de Florensac, and died at only 33 years old.

The legend says that she never got arrested for all her deeds because king Louis XIV thought she was way too entertaining to deserve death. I have no idea if that’s true. But she did sing in Versailles for the Court, so there’s that.
