What happened and What now…

Hello everyone! So as you may or may not know, i’ve been gone for almost 2 years,,, there’s a reason for that..

Many people who followed me share Discord severs with me, so you may already know what happened, but i know there are some people who don’t. On October 30th 2020, Tumblr prompted me to change my password and would not let me log in if i did not. The problem was that to change the password, Tumblr is required to send an email confirming you want to change the password… and i never got it. I tried and tried again until i gave up due to personal reasons. I tried again one last time before getting bored and making a new account, and finally the problem was resolved and i was able to sign in again. Simple as that lol.

Now that i’ve returned, what now? What happened while i was away? First and foremost, I’ve gotten to learn more about who i am and what i prefer to go by. My name is now Clover and i am a Pangender person who goes by He/They pronouns. I don’t care if you know who i was before, but please don’t refer to me by those old names and pronouns starting from here. I would also like to say that I have improved as a person; I know many things i didn’t know before or understand before. If i have ever done or said anything that may have made you even the slightest bit upset, I’m sorry, it was likely because i didn’t understand something, but regardless, i’m sorry and I hope you could forgive me.

Secondly, I’ve changed my art style, expanded on Searune, and even my OC content! I have new characters to introduce to you, and new art i want to show, and I will show you everything i’ve done soon, either in a mega post, several posts, something along those lines. But… Before i do, i want to say this blog is… obviously very old. I don’t like how it’s was set up before or the content on it. I may move everything to a new blog, or simply rework this one, I will decide later. However, The Searune blog will stay up, but with upgrades! Stay tuned for that :]

Thank you for following me all that time ago, and still following me now. I’m sorry i’ve not been on for a long time, and for these sudden changes but regardless, I hope for the best in the future.

Okay but for anyone who legit wants to know how to calculate it correctly:

The elbow joint on average rests a couple inches higher than the navel, so if you measure how long the distance is from the middle of the shoulder to that point then you have the length of the upper and fore arms!

So if anyone’s wondering about legs too, the simplest rule of thumb is that the length from the top of the leg to the knee is equal to the distance between the top of the leg and the bottom of the pectorals:

And I wanna stress that when i say “top of the leg” i’m not talking about the crotch (please don’t flag me tumblr it’s an anatomical term) i’m talking about the point where the femur connects to the pelvis, which is higher up on the hips:

So yeah if you use that measurement when using this technique you should get fairly realistically proportioned legs:

But remember! messing with proportions is an important and fun part of character design! Know the rules first so you can then break them however you please!
