I think I was a flashback NPC
Man, it's nice being an NPC sometimes.
A bit ago I was walking around during my lunch break and passed a derelict-ish building that I pass everyday. Structurally sound, former garden center I think so open and with lots of natural light. No dangling glass or anything, what could fall had fallen. Overall a nice place even if it's abandoned.
In front of it were two kids, 10-ish, I think? Not sure on the number but 'summer-flashback' age for sure. The girl had a camera and the boy had a backback. They were standing off the path on the road to the building, no doubt about it.
I asked 'are you going in there?' The girl seemed bashful and surprised I had figured out the big secret and the boy instantly pivoted to 'don't tell anyone!'
I smiled, answered 'wouldn't dare' and before I was 10 meters further I could hear their voices echoing through the structure. The peak of my week.
(It was not today and I'd have heard the sirens if an amulance/firetruck/police car went there so they were at least moderately fine, it was not a horror/drama show flashback)
