Mr Barrow, has O'Brien ever written you since she left like a thief in the night?
- not O'B
No, and I don’t desire to hear from her again, honestly.

Somebody inform me on why I'm being "followed" by a potato with internet. Is this a threat.
I'm blaming Guy Dexter for this he's the last one I spoke to on here
Obviously it gained sentience and is now stalking you.
@ask-guy-dexter explain this now i swear to god
I--? I sincerely apologize for your misfortune but I cannot explain why you are being haunted by potatoes? And if I may, perhaps dreams of French fries won't be so bad? I am, so very confused.
I KNOW YOU DID IT SO SIMPLY EXLAIN TO ME HOW TO RESOLVE THIS
YOU AND YOUR DUMB BLOODY MUSTACHE
Woah, woah, Richard, Guy, please don’t argue. His mustache is only a little dumb.
What sort of name is Guy? We already know he's a guy, it doesn't have to be his name.
And really, Dexter? Bringing in innocent, uninvolved reinforcements because you won't take back your potato? Can't you just take back your goddamn potato it's not my fault it's cursed
[Also how have you been, Thomas?]
I’m doing very well, thank you. I’ve just gotten back home to Hancock Park after my adventure with Guy and Noel Coward, and-
No! You’re trying to distract me! Richard, is there a reason why you feel the need to blame Guy for this? It’s stupid anyway. Why can’t you just get to know him? He’s very nice, I promise.

Hello Mr. Barrow,
Do you plan to apply for an American citizenship, if you haven't already?
Regards
I’m not sure, to be honest. Maybe in a few years? I know that what I have now is wonderful, and Guy tells me he’ll love me forever. I’m thrilled that he’d say that, but I still can’t seem to get it through my head that he loves me and this is permanent. Everyone I’ve been with before has left, so how do I know this will be different? I suppose I just want to be sure before changing my official documents.
BEAUTIFUL PERSON AWARD! once you are given this award you're supposed to paste it in the asks of 8 people who deserve it. if you break the chain nothing happens, but it's sweet to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out
Oh…Thank you.
💗
Guy showed me how to use that.
How's the economy?
I must admit, I usually don’t keep track of those things. As far as I know, it’s booming.
Do you consider yourself a fashion icon?
A fashion icon? No. But I do like to think that I have a good sense of style. Guy has spoiled me with new clothes lately. He says I look like a man out of a Leyendecker. They used to call me vain at Downton, I know it. I heard Mrs. Hughes say it behind my back once. I really don’t think I am. I just put thought into my appearance.
Do you wear wigs /ref
I do not.
What do you like about Guy Dexter?
What do I-…Well, there’s quite a lot I like about Guy. He’s very confident, for one, which makes up for my lack in that department. He spoils me with gifts, and he’s been so very helpful with letting me settle in in America. He can be very tender and romantic as well. Just last week, we were in New York City, and he took me to a wonderful little restaurant - Sardi’s. I was having a rough day, but he cheered me right up, told me he loved me no matter what. He introduced me to some of his friends who work in live theater, and we all had a wonderful evening.
Of course…I don’t mind that he’s so very handsome.
Horses or cats
I’ve…never quite been close with a horse. I mean, i’ve seen them, of course, and they are beautifully majestic creatures, but they don’t have the same allure as a kitty. I just love cats. Especially the black ones with little white paws - tuxedo cats. Guy and I actually have a pet cat, and his name is Buster. I love him very much. Since I know I can never have children, the little one has become like a son to me. Here, let me see if I can figure out how to attach a photo…
There he is! My little fuzzy wuzzy little boy!
Buster quite likes to hide in my shoes, those he doesn’t fit in them anymore, since that photo was from a while ago.
Tea or coffee?
That is a good question. When I was younger, it used to always be tea, but now that I’ve come to America, where coffee is much more prevalent, it’s beginning to grow on me. I always have a cup of coffee when I wake up in the morning, and sometimes a second one. If i’m ever working I’ll constantly be drinking it until Mr. Dexter makes me stop. I had six cups yesterday before he stopped me, and I did not sleep a wink last night. I’ve had the jitters all day. But it does its job, it keeps me awake, keeps me focused, and sometimes I get so jittery I forget what I was ever worrying about in the first place.
Mr. Barrow!
What's your favorite day of the week? Any reason?
How about favorite number? Mine is 42!
I…Don’t believe I have a favorite day of the week. It used to be Sunday, as it afforded me more time to myself. Since I left my father behind I’ve never been one to go to church, and while everyone else at the abbey did, I was left blissfully alone.
As for a favorite number, i’ve always quite liked 11 for some reason.
Hello Mr. Barrow! :D
What's your fav season and why?
I apologize for not answering my mail over the past few weeks, I’ve been very busy.
I think that my favorite season would have to be spring or summer. I just love the sun and the heat, although I do get burned from the sun very easily, especially here in California, where it’s out much more often. I quite like lying on the beach with a cool drink, even if I hate to go in the ocean.
I do love the spring, though, as well. Mr. Ellis…he got me into something called floriography, the study of the meaning of certain flowers. I’ve become quite partial to seeing the new ones come up each year.
Hello Mr. Barrow :)
Do you go to drag shows? If not you should, they're so much fun! :))
I’m afraid I’ve been confused by a few new terms today. What exactly is a drag show?
Thank you!
T. Barrow
Dear Mr. Barrow,
It's fantastic to hear you've got a callback! Never saw you as the rugged, gangster type, if I remember your role correctly, but if you're being asked after again, then that must be a good thing. I do hope you are chosen for the role, it'd be incredible to be able to tell my peers, "I know that man!"
And talkative, don't I ever get a lot of that. I can very confidently tell you it is not just The States. I've been spending some time in areas like Soho and Chelsea, and I think they may be worse than the Americans. The artists are, at least. Very colorful. Very loud. Love them all, some of my closest friends I've made are artists, but good God. It's never a dull moment with them.
You know, in a strange way, I think I'm experiencing the same sort of shock you must've had being thrown into a brand new world, with people who make you feel like the odd one out. I didn't leave England, yes, but Yorkshire isn't too much like Chelsea or Piccadilly. It's wonderful though, isn't it? It really makes you feel like the world's bigger in some way.
Moving on, I'm glad to hear your life in The States has been enjoyable, although I do hope you'll return to England at some point, even temporarily. If you ever do, please let me know — I've spoken of you to a handful of people, and they all think you sound fascinating. They'd be more than thrilled to meet you.
Sincerely,
A.N.
Thank you for the congratulations! You hardly sound like the Alfred I know.
I’m glad to hear of your progress in Chelsea and Piccadilly, and I hope that everything continues going well.
Sincerely,
T. Barrow
Omg it's Thomas Barrow hiiiiuiuiii
So like, what's ur favourite food??? (Idk what to ask lol)
Hello, Anon!
I have a hard time choosing my very favorite food. I must admit, although I did not appreciate Ms. Patmore’s cooking while I lived at Downton, I do miss it now that it’s gone. I would love to have one of her mushroom and rib pies.
Though, I think my favorite food is a chelsea bun, which I’ve always been quite partial to. In fact, when I was younger, back in Manchester, Ms. Baxter used to bake them for me when my father was particularly I had a bad day. When I was a bit older, and I was…no longer living with my family, I used to do a bit of thievery, and I was very hungry, I would sometimes steal the chelsea buns from bakeries. I seem to recall a rumor of a ‘bakery elf’ which stole chelsea buns starting in Salford.
Ah, memories.
Sincerely,
T. Barrow
omg your ass is on like sophie's choice
WHO WILL IT BE RICHARD ELLIS THE YOUNG RAVISHING MAN WHO ACTUALLY LOOKS CLOSE TO YOUR AGE BUT IS NOW MARRIED OR DEXTER THE DILF
Sophie’s Choice? What is that?
Are you asking me to choose between Richard and Guy? Because I will not be answering such an offensive question.
What does DILF mean?
Confusedly,
T. Barrow
