@astralune
I'm instituting a new policy of "if I can't easily read your crusty scanned PDF then I'm sending it back to you, telling you to get your shit together and save your .docx as .pdf, and causing snakes to manifest inside your house"
this but also if you are in accounting and you have an Excel file please do not save it as a PDF or take a screenshot of it and then paste it into another Excel file
I take it back whatever you have going on is way worse than what I was dealing with holy shit
@thesummoningdark hello?????
yeah no this is a real thing an actual human being said to me
Good afternoon to everyone in the notes having a horrible time! Y'all are fighting demons I never knew existed!! I think every person that makes you do stupid time wasting shit like this because they refuse to learn basic computer literacy should be fired!!
oh, did I ever tell you about [thing I've told you about no fewer than four times, opening on exactly this sentence every single one of those times]
On April 19, 1996, comedy news game show Good News Week premiered, hosted by Paul McDermott, sparking nine seasons, a Gold Logie nomination
I'm getting old, clearly. This is one of my favorite bits from the show, that I still remember and reference for bad jokes.
Someone's dropped a bomb somewhere Contaminating atmosphere And blackening the sky It's Good News Week!
oh dear god
I am speed running the stages of grief. Come explore this with me.
I WONDER WHY HEALTHCARE DATA IS SO LIMITED. HEY HAS ANYONE EVER THOUGHT ABOUT WHY WE DON'T HAVE COMPLETELY OPEN PLATFORMS FOR HEALTH DATA. AND WHY IT'S A BAD IDEA TO HAVE WRITE PRIVILEGES VIA SOME WEB INTERFACE TO MEDICAL RECORDS. HAS ANYONE EVER WONDERED.
okay well let's look at the github. at least an mcp server is just like a stupider API. right.
STARTING OFF. BAD.
This is. a PHI nightmare.
do you think these tech guys ever think. "i wonder why nobody has done this."
Well if they had to pick an AI at least they're not using one of the sketchy ones right. thank goodn
oh
You know, I'm glad Epic put so much time into making mychart extremely secure, even with all the health systems who configure them like a drunk monkey. it would be a shame if
hmm hey what do we think 'read local passwords' does
feed healthcare data to openclaw openclaw safe for 2FA codes and passwords in plaintext nothing bad will happen to your passwords and 2FA ccodes if you feed them to openclaww
ooohghhg my fucking ggogod
FROM DISCORD??? FROM MM DISCORD? YOU WANT TO FEED YOUR OWN PERSONAL HONEST TO FUCK PHI INTO, POTENTIALLY, DISCORD??
What many users may not know about MyChart providedby EpicSystems is that MyChart providedby EpicSystems is actually kind of like a local instance that your healthcare org runs, not a "Sign in once and see everything" type of deal (unless you have Care Everywhere, and then it maybe can be. But it Depends.)
Why is that you might ask. Well you see. There are many Rules and Laws and Regulations about the use and exchange of personal healthcare data.
Which is why of course this guy, seeing a well-thought-out and tested technical position, decided "what if i get all of them at once and also the 2FA codes and stored them ALL in the same place with no encryption whatsoever"
MRN??????????? YOUR PERSONAL HIGHLY PROTECTED BASICALLY ILLEGAL TO SHARE MEDICAL RECORDS NUMBER?
????????????????????????
This is genuinely the most terrifying import i have ever seen
I LIED; WHAT
GIVE OPENCLAW ACCESS TO YOUR ENTIRE FUCKING EMAIL AND MEDICAL RECORDS NOTHING BAD WILL HAPPEN IF YOU FEED YOUR ENTIRE BROWSER CACHE NAD PASSWORD KEY STORE INTO OPE NCLAW
okay. i'm done. i can't. i cannot continue to look at this. this is out of this world.
how do we think this project ends

Horizon Zero Dawn was like "the apocalypse happened because we let an extremely stupid man have a trillion dollars and his own military-industrial complex" and Elon Musk saw that and thought "inspiring. I bet I could be that stupid man"
I love how complex HZD is with this though. Like, yes, Ted Faro is terrible and largely the man responsible for the apocalypse (and more) but he didn’t do it all with his own hands. Elizabet Sobek, who spearheads the titular project, worked for Faro when the company was doing environmental reclamation machines. She left when he expanded into military operations but a lot of her work, her ideas, her talent would still have been in those later fighting machines. This guilt shows up in how she talks about the importance of Zero Dawn even though many would say she bears no responsibility.
You can find a note out in the world left by a guy whose dad was one of the last human military pilots and lost his job when they fully automated. Not only does this serve to flesh out the pre-apocalypse society and how automation did not come with a better safety net but also it provides hints of the suspicions people then would’ve had when, a couple decades after full automation, the military is suddenly looking for human pilots again.
There’s a voice log from a guy who was a coder for Faro’s company. He talks about how his department tried to explain that creating these machines without a backdoor for overriding them in case of emergency was hugely dangerous but they were overruled by Faro who said that would be admitting failure. Not wanting to lose their jobs, they did what the boss said. And now this guy is sharing the guilt he feels with every ounce of remorse a voice actor could squeeze into the words. You can contrast this guy, desperate to redress the guilt he feels despite how obviously the project would’ve gone ahead even if he’d quit in protest, with the way Faro reacts to potential shame, guilt, or remorse. Hint, it’s not good.
Heck the files you find that mention how Faro has to be managed to stay out of the way of progress are honestly quite reminiscent of the stories about employees managing Musk at SpaceX. But he’s still humored, he still has access and power, and well it’s a post-apocalyptic story so you can guess how that goes. Horizon Zero Dawn is such a beautiful game with such a depth of worldbuilding. And the fact it coming out the same week as Breath of the Wild almost certainly limited its reach and popularity is a real shame.
pov: you're making history. you're working with the most advanced technology in the world. outlook still doesn't fucking work.
One of the effect of elementary watson being a woman on sherlock is that hes always making caveats about murder suspects like a man caved his skull in. Or a woman. women can also cave skulls in 👍 he set the building on fire. Or she. I would never imply women cant set building on fire
The entire point of, OK, my phone really wants to call it Anastasia so I guess we’re doing that? The entire point of Anastasia (as administered by a board-certified Anastasiologist) during sugary. Sugary? Haven’t I suffered enough? The entire point of Anastasia during augury. Jesus Christ. Hold up. You know what, augury is preferable to sugary. Augury is obviously performed by an auger (makes sense if you give it a think) whereas sugary is performed by…? A sugardaddy? NO THANK YOU. Anyway. The entire point of Anastasia is so that you don’t know what music your sturgeon. Fuck right off. Was playing. While you were under. You’re not supposed to wake up from Anastasia and immediately realize you managed to get earwormed by Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” during your sugary.
i bring a "technically i could do this tomorrow" energy to things that tomorrow me really resents
the battle of bedtime vs staying up late to play
playing trivia games as a nonamerican introduces a real element of chaos because sometimes the super easy beginner questions are like what was the top selling brand of toilet paper in texarkana in 1972 and sometimes the hardest questions will be like oh no a super tricky one for you: what country are dutch people from?
Each Benoit Blanc film takes place in a different season and classic murder mystery setting.
Knives Out: Autumn in a country house
Glass Onion: Summer on a private island
Wake up Dead Man: Spring in a small town
So the next film in the cycle needs to be set in winter on a mode of transportation.
