Tommy’s weird obsession with transportation is not even a fanon thing, he has maybe a grand total of 20 scenes and in more than half of them he says something about traffic/parking/flying/cars.

Did Natalia drive? Did Taylor have a car? who knows.

however Tommy Kinard is into repairing cars. he hates traffic and trying to find parking around Buck’s building. he has to leave because of crosstown traffic. he wanted to pick Buck’s up for their first date but they ended up ubering there. probably because he found a spot right at the front and he didn’t want to lose it, which is something he stated he does. He flies for his job. and in his free time he gives flight lessons and he also flies just to get from point A to point B and he’s always down for stealing an helicopter. he drove around Buck’s place so many times after the breakup. even in that scene “fire was a beast”, I have no doubt he was supposed to say “traffic was a beast” (a much more common phrase) and they changed it last minute.

idk my point is Masks is the GOATed episode because no one gives Tommy an opening to talk about los angeles traffic congestion statistics.

I think part of my similar feelings for Ravi’s “because you needed it” and Tommy’s “and for you/not without feeding you” lines is just they’re the only two people in this show lately that even seem to pick up on Buck struggling. Like they’re the only two that actually care about Buck.

Like, it's so nonchalant, Tommy says it so casually like 'I'd like us hanging out, I totally like you enough to take the time and effort to give you lessons.'

He says it like Buck is not a burden. Not some baggage.

He says it like he likes Buck.

i know people wanna force the grumpy x sunshine trope and yes, tommy is snarky and bitchy and dry and i love him, but people tend to ignore the fact that he's also a dorky silly fidgety little (big) guy

i completely refute the idea that tommy's all stoic and indifferent seeming relative to buck. like he isn't at all he's actually super expressive and fun???
