idk what other disabled person needs to hear this but if you need someone to do something for you that would be very difficult for you to do but very easy for them to do, that is a small favor. you dont have to feel gratitude and guilt at scale based on how hard it would be for you to do it disabledly
also a more general point: you dont have to feel guilty when people do things for you. if someone is offering, or if you ask and they say yes, that means they want to do it. if for some reason they are pretending to be okay with it, that is not your fault, it is theirs. this goes for things you are incapable of doing, things that would be difficult for you to do, and even things that you could do without difficulty. even if youre not disabled. if someone cares about you they should be willing to help you out in the ways that they are able to.

modern horror writers be like: what do you mean there's things scarier than old women, mentally ill people, and pagan beliefs??
Art I made for the "Down By The River" artbook a while ago (but forgot to post 🫠). I'm still in love with this piece 🥰
AO3 is no longer anti-censorship. They may allow things like ships and rpf of real minors but they have been banning and deleting any Palestine content and anyone who advocates for Palestine. The content is no longer “fully anti censorship.” Although I disagree with the notion that any portrayal of anything is okay in fiction, I’m not going to argue with you about that because you clearly have your mind made up; please just acknowledge this. Being anti-censorship is inherently political. AO3 is not anti censorship as long as they continue to pick and choose the contents of their platform, and a full and complete defense of the platform without nuance (and containing a currently false argument) is harmful.
the way I knew this was gonna be about Palestine the second I read “AO3 is no longer anti-censorship” and I was right 😌. anyway I have already talked about this here
AO3 did not remove works advocating for Palestine because these works advocated for Palestine.
AO3 removed works advocating for Palestine because these works violated the site’s terms of service. something you have to click “I agree” on when you first made your AO3 account.
and AO3’s terms of service already stated very clearly in the beginning that only transformative works are allowed on their site.
someone making a post about Palestine on AO3, where the work section of their post isn’t fanfic but a political statement, goes against the site’s terms of service. and so the work is rightfully removed.
someone mentioning donations (or anything that involves money) anywhere on their AO3 goes against the site’s terms of service. and so the work is rightfully removed.
you cannot use AO3 to ask for donations (or anything that involves money). you cannot use AO3 to make a political statement. you cannot use AO3 like a social media and vent about your day in the work section of your post. if you do any of these things, your content will rightfully get removed.
AO3 is for transformative works/fan-contents only. anything else goes against its rules, and therefore is removed. and no, it is not censorship, it is called “following the rules”, something everybody has to have clicked “agree” on when they created their AO3 accounts.
another thing I’d like to mention is that AO3, as a nonprofit organization and pretty much a library, cannot get involved in politics (other than their no censorship stance).

"Women are inherently less violent than men" is in fact an anti-feminist position and should be more often treated as such???
Like. That's literally just radfem shit. That's literally just cult of domesticity shit. That's literally just wildly ahistorical and incorrect, too.
"But I can see men being more violent!"
The patriarchy teaches men to be violent, to express their emotions through violence, to celebrate violence in other men and demonize it in women, so that they perform their role of oppressor.
The patriarchy teaches women to be nonviolent, to not express their emotions through violence, to celebrate violence in other men and demonize it in women, so that they perform their role of oppressed.
It's all social constructs.
how to cover letter:
polite greeting (it's me, boy)
introduction (i'm the ps5)
establish credentials (speaking to you inside your brain)
establish purpose (leave the girl, we don't need her)
describe what you can bring to the organization (cowboy times in space)
what does multi-level marketing have to do with any of this
oh good heavens
you haven't changed. you just think you have.
