it may seem like wally west is my favorite character (he is) but i also like those other guys and i actually post about them more so don’t let the appearance of the blog turn u off of it

i enjoy writing and want to (eventually) share the writing i’ve done but that’s scary so

my asks are open so maybe pop in and talk at me about your favorite dc characters (ramble and infodump away i would love to read it) or maybe just about your day (i’ve been told i’m a good listener, i’m also always looking to make friends)

2) The threat is another speedster? Check

3) Wally's pissed off? Check.

The situation was meeting all the criteria for Wally to do something insane. My mind immediately went to the Thad situation.

Who has what role in those cases?

Yes, absolutely. Namely: Alfred organizes family dinners.

The first one is situational. They all happen to be in the cave after a hard case and hey? Alfred just made dinner. There's plenty of COURSE they should all stay for dinner Bruce be a good host show your friends the dining room. Bruce grumbles about being unprofessional. Everyone else hasn't been this jazzed in weeks. Batman orders everyone to make this quick so they can get back to the watchtower. Alfred vetoes this order.

The food is good, really good. Like, thanksgiving feast good. There is extra made for Flash, and he's emptying plates as fast as they're put in front of him, only rivaled by J'onns insane sweets intake. Shayera is betting on who eats through the silverware first.

The questions are endless. Bruce is in hell.

"Where's the kid, the little robin guy? What do you mean 'which one?' There's 3?*"

"When did the whole 'vigilante' thing start? Oh he so he was terrible at it the first few years? DO tell."

"Yes of COURSE we'd like to see pictures. Oh my god is that baby Bruce - no Batarangs in the house!"

RE: this, barbecues as well.

These ones started recreationally, after Clark mentioned "grilling weather" and found the aliens (including Bruce) who have never been to a barbeque. Usually held at the Kent farm, the Kents love seeing everybody (and telling embarrassing stories about Clark - call that karma).

Clark is decked the fuck out. He's grill ready. He has an apron his mom made. He is wearing a baseball cap and a metropolis tee. He's wearing cargo shorts. He's ready.

John and Clark (and John Kent) spend every spare second talking about grilling. What's the specs on this baby (grill from 1989)? You have a smoke house? These cuts are locally sourced? John goes home with a freezer fulls of prime meat and homemade barbecue sauce. He's sworn to bring back his hometown delicacies next time.

Shayera cannot be stopped from eating raw meat. You CANNOT put this much food around her and expect her to behave. The give her the bones to knaw on.

Bruce hates it here. The sun is shining. The grass is touching him. He wants to go home. He is wearing a black turtleneck and pants. Ma eventually fenagles him into borrowing some clothes so he doesn't die of heat stroke. At least the lemonade is good.

Wally is teaching J'onn every game he can play with a deck of cards. Pretty much everyone plays at least one round, they bet with bottle caps and candy and quarters. They play spoons. The table does not survive.

In many ways, when you think about wallinda is a in universe celebrity couple when Wally had no secret identity ya know. Maybe not World famous but like Tony Hawk famous.

Linda has all the best and experimental Flash merch and she has no shame about wearing a piece of merch on her person at all time, and no she will say, Wally didn’t get her a thing of merch, this is her supporting the family brand.

I think one of my favourite things about billy is that he is simultaneously babey and a little badtard (affectionate). Also love how despite poking fun at other characters for not aging you cant really age him up? Defeats the whole point in a way if he's not a ridiculously powerful 10 yo

literally like if that freaky little fella isn't an absolutely overpowered little baby god thing then i don't want him!

also there's the original idea behind billy that kids are our most distinguished heroes! they're wise and strong and they want to do the right thing, and we can learn from the youth in areas of kindness and empathy and that's billy's whole thing. which is way more philosophical then this calls for i think but it's also real and i know you'll understand crumpet <3.

but yeah if that guy who wields the power of the gods isn't also a tiny little fella just a devious little guy then it's not billy

the idea of a dude just becoming a different, bigger dude isn't NEARLY as incredible as the baby becoming a fuckin demigod. billy batson is genuinely the character ever for real

Lowkey, I think a teen-like horror show about speedforce things featuring Linda, Wally, and Hartley would be fantastic. We already have the happy death day AU, now we can have them dealing with cults like god intended. Like I think keystone (city) high in the yj verse is a hellscape but only the students and staff know that and learn to live with it.

i've always maintained that speculative sci-fi is about two degrees from magical realism/fantastical realism and i really think the flash lore is basically that idea. like the idea that this living-breathing-thing connects all living people to reality and space-time is so good. like that's so magical realism. i love it. and it's also science. even better.
