Lazy cat isnāt much help in a fight

Friendly reminder that Vincent van Gogh willingly checked himself into an asylum so that he could get better, resulting in him creating some of the most iconic paintings of his entire career, done in the asylum, when he was being treated 24/7, because he finally didnāt have to struggle with his demons and could instead focus on his muse, WHICH WERE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!
Remember this little insignificant painting?
How about this one?
Check this one out:
All of these and more were painted in the asylum when he was receiving treatment for his mental illnesses and I know I just said that but I said it again and Iām saying it a third time until you dramatic abled assholes understand!
VINCENT VAN GOGH
- KNEW THAT HE WAS MENTALLY ILL
- WANTED TO CHANGE THAT
- WENT TO AN ASYLUM
- GOT THE HELP HE NEEDED
- PAINTED SOME ICONIC MASTERPIECES AS A RESULT!
SO DONāT YOU DARE COME OUT HERE WITH THIS,Ā āI WISH I WAS DEPRESSED SO I COULD BE AS CREATIVE AS VAN GOGHā BULLSHIT BECAUSE EVEN HE KNEW THAT HIS DEMONS WERE HARMING HIS WORK, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, HIS HEALTH, AND HE DID EVERYTHING WITHIN HIS POWER TO FIGHT THEM EVERY SINGLE DAY OF HIS LIFE, UNTIL THEY ENDED UP WINNING!Ā
This is also incrediblyĀ important for any creative persons dealing with mental illness, and their parents.
Receiving mental help improvesĀ your craft, not hurt it. Before getting put on medication for the first time to treat my mental illnesses, my mom expressed to me how sheās worried about my getting treatment because of my art. Regardless, your mental health should be more important anyway, but, honestly, itās a lot harder to produce good art when you struggle getting out of bed, let alone creating masterpieces. When youāre in more health, improving your craft comes much easier!
People keep posting āwhatās REALLY in your foodā articles like Iām gonna stop eating whatever itās about lmao Listen, death is coming. Death is coming. Pass me a hot dog.
A VERY IMPORTANT VIDEO FEATURING BUELLER HAPPILY WAGGING HIS TAIL.

spiders. IN the tub, spiders in the tub. Come on now, SPI DERS IN THE TUB! SPIDERS IN THE TUB!
I can only assume this is meant to be chanted to the rhythm ofĀ āuptown funk you up, uptown funk you upā but I cannot begin to speculate as to why
Stop! Wait a minute.
Why my tub got these spiders in it?

this covers the hole but itās really obstructive and ruins the aesthetic of the bowl Iām considering making a decoy bowl now
All cats ruin the aesthetics if it doesnāt revolve around them.
related: aesthetic cat bed that has only been used 2 times in the past 2 years. they prefer to sleep in Amazon boxes
@pancakeke you should put the amazon box inside the aesthetic cat bed. Maybe theyāll be more inclined to use it that way
if this works I will lose my damn mind
ARE YOU KIDDING ME
Amazing!
An angel
Itās beautiful how people with autism are typically so much more spatially advancedā¦my little cousin has memorized all the freeway systems in California and heās like 9
From memoryā¦. Let that sink inā¦I barely remember myself
WHAT omfg thatās so amazing!
Omg I watched this documentary years ago and I was just completely floored! This guy is beyond amazing! What no one mentioned is that this drawing is unbelievably accurate and proportionally to scale. He has the exact number of windows, floors, doors, etc on each building. And someone measured it and everything was to scale and geographically correct. On all of his drawings he has the exact number right even from just looking at a building for two minutes.
Whatās even more amazing is that he used to be almost completely nonverbal and through his art heās been able to become completely independent and self-sufficient and is now a successful artist who owns his own gallery where he sells his drawings and people come from all over to buy his art. He is fully verbal and communicative and most people who meet him donāt even realize that he has autism.
This dude is literally the coolest most incredible guy ever!
Oh and I forgot to add that he did this drawing in under five days (it might have even been three days but I canāt remember)!
Here are a few of his drawings
Like I said, this dude is fucking amazing.
@paintedcowboy
I had seen the top part of this post, but not the rest of his work.
Thank you.
Whoa, amazing
Reblogging because heās awesome!!!
never seen the rest of it omg the London ones are gorgeous!

Real talk.
Very true. If you make your kid feel like their emotions are repugnant or invalid, you lose them forever. Any time Iāve felt like my reaction to something my son told me was even remotely confusing, Iāll apologize for it. I want him to always feel like he can tell me things and get a levelheaded response.
Minty is just cold spicy
this thread has me in tears right now
We were driving to a restaurant and wanted to see how long the wait was. My dad handed me the phone book and asked me to look up the number. I, for whatever reason, thought he said āget rid of thisā. So I opened the window and chucked the phone book while we were going 70 MPH down the highway.
great
I stuck my hand in a bowl of soup simply because I hadnāt before.

When I was maybe 10-12, I threw one of my dadās golf clubs that had no head on it like a spear down the hallway after telling my brother it would be cool.
absolutely
One time I was eating a lemon poppyseed muffin. The phone rang, so I reacted by shoving the entire muffin my mouth and eating it as fast as I could, nearly choking to death, and I didnāt even make it to the phone before it stopped ringing.
