personally I am of the opinion that vegans who are like “the way our food system currently works under capitalism on a large scale is exceptionally cruel to all animals including humans and is not sustainable, so I’m doing what I can to make the most ethical choices available to me about what I eat and encourage others to do the same” are generally very reasonable people who I agree with in spades. but vegans who seem to think human beings are not themselves animals who are ultimately also part of the food chain but instead some kind of other paternalistic higher entity that can never engage in ethical and sustainable hunting practices (and especially the fringe I’ve seen who think other carnivorous animal predators are also evil and need to be eliminated) are people I regard as foolish at best if not actively anti-indigenous and racist
In 2026, the chicest thing a gay actor can do is never explicitly come out as gay but also make it abundantly clear that he is. Coming out is too modern. Staying closeted is too old fashioned. But this method merges contemporary freedom with Old Hollywood glamour and allure, and it weeds out the dumbest people who truly don’t get it. I call it the Pascal Method.
Taylor Swift does this
no she doesn’t
You clearly don't go here or to queer history and signaling, or both, enough to have this conversation and I'm not going to explain it to you. You could have asked questions, you could have done even a modicum of research. You didn't and you made yourself look ignorant. Goodbye.
#I'm fucking crying#this is an instant classic#this is the next meme#i can't believe I'm here to see a baby copypasta nary two hours old#I can't#lol#i laughed way too hard#iconic
no offense, but if the pitt was noah wyle's personal pet project designed to aggrandize him and paint him in the best possible light and make his character look awesome and badass and sexy....... have you considered that maybe they would try to make robby more likeable? like, how did you watch fifteen episodes of robby unraveling and lashing out at beloved characters and making obviously poor decisions and your single takeaway was "noah wyle is so vain and wants everyone to love his character" 😭😭😭😭😭
really feels like a moment where the segment of fandom that substitues antisemitism for analysis is crashing up against the side of fandom that substitutes being horny for a char for analysis and it just erupts into saying absolute nonsense
tbh i love hear me outs but i also love the opposite of hear me outs where it’s like nearly everyone thinks they’re fuckable except you
count me outs
Hey yall I just wanted to come on here and bring some attention to what’s happening at the detention center (really a concentration camp) Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey. There is a hunger strike going on right now to protest the abhorrent conditions within the camp (allegations of torture, maggots and other bugs in the food, etc) and protests happening outside the camp. ICE is not allowing any politicians to come in (as is their right) to see the conditions of the camp. I would urge yall to do your own research, but if you want videos of some people who are actually there, here are some tik tok accounts you can go follow: @ bethanyquilter/ @ whoiskingtrivv/ @ Status Coup News/ @ L.A. TACO
And here is a video explaining what’s going on in more detail than I provided.
With everything else going on in the world, it can be hard to keep up with stuff going on at home, but ICE is still out here terrorizing innocent people. We must keep our eyes on them, and keep fighting.
Feel free to add more sources or info to this post, should you have any.
I found this linktree here that has a master list of ways to help the detainees inside Delaney Hall: https://linktr.ee/SupportOurFamilies
Please support immigrant families by donating to the GoFundMe's below and purchasing supplies via Amazon Wishlist to support detainee visito
I have heard that protestors outside need medical supplies, but I can’t find the best way to provide that if you are not nearby.
their needs are changing rapidly, they mostly need Sudecon wipes and gas masks, last I heard, but the only way is to bring them directly there. for the most part they are asking people to join them there and hold the line, if possible. next best thing is to donate and call NJ reps to demand an end to the detention and torture!
They are brutalizing the strikers while filling the room with mace and it was only after 2 hrs of calls to 911 and sustained protestor presence for ems to even evacuate one person to the hospital. Please help us stay mobilized. The more people that can be sustained protesting outside the facility, the less ICE agents are spending time brutally beating and macing the hunger and labor strikers.
Its on a busy trucker route and there has already been at least one protestor pushed by ice and held in the path of an 18-wheeler crushing his foot. they chased a medic down the road and detained him for hours leaving him brutalized under a random overpass in Newark. They tazed someone running away causing them to fall into the deeply polluted ditch bc all the land here is a brownfield that legally shouldnt have anyone touching it, let alone have detainment camps built there
These are some sources i trust for people who want to donate for medical supplies
and dont let anyone forget the actual demands of the strikers
An additional resource you all can visit to see how you can help is this website. For those who can’t click on the link, it’s handsoffnyc.com/delaneyhall. Shoutout to @mycatisadictedtogarbanzobeans for the additional info.
Update (5/29/26) according to @ whoiskingtrivv and @ adamcrai on tik tok (you can watch their video directly here): state police have blocked off the road to Delaney Hall and are requiring you to show ID before you can enter. THIS IS NOT OKAY!!! It’s also mentioned that if you are going to drive there, please make sure everything in your vehicle is up to date as the love to tow peoples cars. Also take a picture of where you parked your car. If you’re going in person, please stay safe. I will continue to update as I see more information.
As always, if you have resources or info, please share them by either reblogging this post or you can message me directly. Please continue spreading the word, the more eyes on this the better.
Amidst all the bad, here is a little bit of an uplifting update. Please watch this video by @ adamcrai on tik tok showing the hostages within the detention center hearing and supporting the protesters outside. It genuinely made me tear up. Let this be motivation for the continued fight.
I’ve already seen this being hidden and suppressed on social media. This NEEDS to be known about and not forgotten or pushed aside by whatever that fucking disgusting orange hemorrhoid in the White House throws at us next.
THIS IS NOT OKAY.
THIS IS NOT NORMAL.
THIS IS FASCISM.
KEEP FIGHTING!
Update as of 5/31/26: yesterday they put a curfew in place. If you’re going to protest there, be advised that between the hours of 9pm-6am you cannot protest. Anyone who has tried was told by local and state police that they had to go. And the police claim they are there to keep protesters safe, but anyone with more than half a brain cell could tell you that’s bullshit. Despite these roadblocks, we cannot give up or look away.
This is my last chance to tell you about Warped, a sci-fi and horror anthology with all trans writers and a priority towards trans women of global majority. If we're not funded within the next 30 hours, the project will have to go on permanent hiatus and we may never have the money needed to create it.
We've raised £3396/£11,000 so far, but no-one will be charged for their pre-orders unless we hit the full minimum goal to pay all writers.
Gore, smut, space, and sex worker lunar colonists.
A trans+ horror and sci-fi fiction anthology.
Today I wanted to talk about Kyle Bassinga. Kyle was a 21 year old man from Georgia, whose family described him as "a kind, thoughtful, and smart young man who loved nature, music, and the people around him". Kyle Bassinga was killed on February 18th 2026, just ten days after his birthday. He was found hanging from a tree in a park.
The police ruled it a suicide. The family and local community demanded an investigation. The police refused to change their ruling.
I know this website it too white for this to really go anywhere, but an understanding of the present reality of white supremacy in the United States is just so important to transfeminism here. Lynchings never stopped, white supremacy never went away, you just stopped looking.
Juliana Nzita, A 16 year old Black girl, was just found hanging from a tree on church grounds in Charlotte, NC. Police have ruled it a suicide, despite hanging ourselves from trees being like the one communally agreed way Black folks ain’t killing ourselves.
Every time I go on Twitter or Facebook I learn about another recent lynching or missing Black person going mostly unreported. Half the reason I keep an active account on either of those sites is because they’re the only place I can find out about the violence happening to Black and Trans people reasonably quickly.
But I do need y’all to know that Black folks are currently, actively, being disappeared and lynched—if they even find our bodies. Black girls are and have been more often stolen into human trafficking, especially if they’re immigrants, but I’ve been seeing new news of probable lynchings every other day. Shit is worse than you think it is right now, tumblr just too white of a site to care lol
People argue "I've seen a case like this every few months and it's always been a suicide"
Been a suicide or been ruled a suicide?
Usually it’s ruled a suicide because cops or people affiliated with cops/prisons/legal system like lawyers or prosecutors did it then buried the body on land belonging to one of those organizations, such as I noted here: in this thread, where over 200 bodies were found buried behind a jail since 2016:

Non-Black and/or non-US based people often wonder why so many left-leaning Black folks in the US try to operate alternate justice systems within smaller community such as restorative justice, transformative justice, etc. when “all over the world, activists and their ancestors have fought for access to legal systems like this” and this is why.
Our legal system is explicitly designed to kill and enslave Black people. Our legal system from the cops to the lawyers and courts (one of the few times we got justice) to the prisons is legalized slavery where prisons are privatized and corporations are encouraged to maximize their profit by incentivizing every part of this system to hold as many people as possible.
Black folks can be proven innocent after years of time in prison or on death row and still killed by the state or dying in prison because the goal was never justice, it was to keep culling and controlling the Black population.
And outside of the system, we are lynched, raped, abused, trafficked, and robbed by those involved in our legal system, lives often irreparably destroyed, entire lives disappeared with no justice because that is the point, not a flaw. It’s almost always those in the legal system or their families and friends doing this, so that it can be ruled a suicide or a runaway or intracommunity issues and swept away.
So when we look to justice systems that do not throw away a life of any human, it is because we do not wish to see them enslaved, murdered, raped, abused, etc. at the hands of the state, because that is what WILL happen here in the US. We become abolitionists because we see that the alternative option is to allow others to become enslaved. Because it’s a minimum we can do when 95% of the time there will be no justice for us no matter what.
here in dc this been happening to multiple people of color -- most recently last month a young man found hanging by the police station which police ruled as Not Foul Play pretty much immediately.
this man was latino but at the protests it's been heavily Black people fighting to get the truth about what's happened to him because we the ones BEEN knew this is how the police operate. this is how society operates. as mentioned above this has NEVER stopped happening to our people. so we always end up on the front lines fighting for errybody's community as well as our own. it'd be so easy not to, to be like we are taking the worst brunt so we'll only look after our own, but that's never how we've moved because we know none of us are free until all of us are free.
i just hope everybody else learn that too and get loud for us also.
hi i think every white theater kid and anyone who has ever seen a movie should watch this
Holy shit
This kind of response to things I say about sex work, which isn't always phrased like this but almost always focuses on me being male or a man or my pronouns, shows a fundamental misunderstanding of why mansplaining is bad.
I am a sex worker. I have been for a decade. The majority of people I know are sex workers and I'm embedded in sex worker community. I started before 18 and have done it in brothels, cars, my own home, clients' homes, saunas, and hotels.
It's absolutely reasonable to criticize men who speak on issues they don't experience like an authority, especially when they speak over women to do it. It is not reasonable to raise someone's gender (or in this case, pronouns) as a reason their thoughts aren't worth hearing when the issue is one they do face.
I see people bringing up that I'm trans in response to things like this, as a way to legitimize my speech. The reason I refuse to do so, despite many of my experiences selling sex being pre-transition, is that I equally do not want cis men who have done sex work to be silenced on the topic.
We need more active and former sex workers to speak out. That won't happen if we're dismissing those who do.
I know trans people are used to (both historically and in the modern day) being represented cruelly through media. Back before we had more positive portrayals of trans people, the very existence of their nonconformity is treated as a joke. So naturally trans people are on the defense whenever trans characters are even visually depicted.
But at some point, especially when this is trans art made by fellow trans creatives, we need to let go of that defense and see what the art has to say. Because if the notion of a buff hairy trans woman or a big boobs and hips having trans man get immediately labelled as "bad representation" or "a caricature"- then we're just pressuring trans people to conform to a strict colonial imposed gender binary that even cis people struggle with. Cis girls can be tomboys but if a trans woman is butchy then it's suddenly regressive representation. Let cis men by feminine, but if a trans man is feminine then suddenly he's not even trying.
As always, I get where this pain and defensiveness is coming from. But a future where trans people have to look like the most conventional cis person ever is not one I'm celebrating. I'd hate for conformity to be enforced in a space that should be celebrating nonconformity.
Everyone you've ever had sex with gets put into the same room, and they're only freed once they figure out what they all have in common. How long will it take for them to figure it out?
Never. They are all tragically stupid.
Odds are low, they are very varied, but they might figure it out in under 24 hr
A few hours, tops. I have a type.
Unclear. There's very few of them.
Unclear. There's too many of them.
There are too many things they all have in common with each other.
Empty chairs at empty tables (never been fucked)
I've only slept with one person so this scenario can't apply to me
I'm too bald and vanilla to answer this. Results please.
The framing implies that most of your partners/exes don't know (/of) each other which is just. extremely foreign to my experience
I dunno, for me that's still a tricky proposition; there have in fact been multiple occasions in which all but one of them have been in the same room (plus other people) and so if they're tasked with figuring out what they have in common, it might be tricky for them to figure out unless they're also told that nobody else in the world shares that thing in common, just due to how many correct answers there could be.
yeah, I guess there are problem zones where either none of your exes know each other/hang out (or maybe there's just a few small clusters among them) or all of them do and they all have lots in common besides you. but there's a large zone in between
I'm stumbling on a different part of this, where I'm like....one factor they ALL have in common? Idk I don't even know the answer to that one. Any answer I come up with there's at least one exception.
squinting at this in sex worker like, i feel like at the end of the day we'd have to go with "human"
TLDR: this white queer person tried to hold other white queer people accountable for their racism and they DID NOT LIKE THAT
Not a trans masc thing, but is this how the snap back lesbian became a thing? White masc lesbians appropriating black culture? Oh no.
tumblr user voice: haha hey check out this cool whistle i found, i don't hear any sound coming out of it but i'm gonna keep blowing on it anyways :)
tumblr user voice: ugh i can't believe i have to say this again but dogs dni!!!
I don't know if such a word already exists or not, but there needs to be a term to describe how inhabitants of the imperial core will treat about those outside of it as sub-human. Like even those who consider themselves "progressive" will frequently talk about people in the third world in terms that disregard their agency, emotional complexity or the very value of their lives
Like it's more than just "racism" because I've seen the things people will say about white Latin Americans. And like as awfully as even "progressives" treat non-white people in the first world I've noticed they'll get even worse when it comes to those who live in the third. Like they'll at least pretend to care about like Muslim immigrants or Black USamericans but I've seen "liberals" just casually say the most heinous shit about people living in West Asia or Africa. Like I don't want to downplay the bigotry that the marginalised people of the Imperial Core face but there's this very distinct strain of dehumanisation that gets applied to the inhabitants of the Periphery.
Yeah I reckon like Chauvinism describes it pretty well. Like First World or Imperial Core Chauvinism. I dunno it's just driving me insane seeing how casually cruel and disrespectful so many "leftists" are to the people, even their supposed comrades, who live in the "shithole countries" of the third world
remember this tweet
In case other people are not cursed with knowledge about the context, the person in the tweet is defending the choice of an american queer person to work for lockheed martin
[transcript:
An anonymized "people of the global south" is not worth more than domestic queer citizens or any other member of any other marginalized community - or, bluntly, any fellow citizen at all.
Real-ass human beings matter more than rhetorical constructs.

i do think its very messed up how people hold random indie creators to more stringent ethical standards than they hold major corporations or politicians, absolutely.
i ALSO think it's very messed up how these posts start circulating Like Clockwork every. single. time. that Black people start speaking on yr fave indie creators' antiblackness.
