Not to be controversial but I believe Dick Grayson's guilt complex to be a load bearing coping strategy because if everything in the world is his fault then everything in the world is under his control and thus if he can just be better then nothing bad will ever happen again

the best part about dick grayson is the fact that his happy-go-lucky nature is a façade built on hundreds of micro-analyses of each current situation and his seemingly carefree expression is a very carefully calculated mask to make sure people in the vicinity are comfortable. when it breaks down it is not because he has suddenly Become Something Else - only that he has failed to contain what usually sits below the surface. also, he really is just unnervingly cheerful in odd situations.

i rly enjoy dceu Lois Lane but i think it's kind of a pity that she knows who Clark is before they become coworkers bcos the secret identity shenanigans potential there is just too good

anyway i don't think Lois & Clark should have like a Dramatic identity reveal, I think the preferable scenarios are:

1) Lois puts it together herself, she is a journalist after all. her actively trying to figure out Superman's secret identity and succeeding is good but I also like the idea of her working on a story about Superman and just, putting the pieces together. like she's working late alone in the office one night and is like. wait. wait.

frantically texting Clark like call me. hey call me right fucking now we need to talk. Clark! Clark!! CLARK!! he gets out of the shower to like 50 increasingly weird texts.

2) Clark realises he has feelings for Lois but he can't in good conscience ask her out if she doesn't know so he tells her. she straight up thinks he's joking so he's there lifting her couch above his head with one hand & floating around her apartment like LOIS. LOIS TRUST ME OK.

3) he interacts with her as Superman one (1) time and she's like Clark?????

anyway upshot is always the same ie multi-day multi-level freak out that goes something like:

Lois, after the initial freak out: okay. okay this is a lot to take in. I'm going to need a couple of days to think this over.

Clark: of course, take as long as you need

Clark: Lois it's 2am

Lois: you're an alien?

Clark: didn't we talk about this earlier today. at length.

Lois: it's just hit me properly, you're an alien? an extraterrestrial? you were born on another planet? I thought you were from Kansas! Kansas, Clark!!

Clark, very tired: I already told you, I am from Kansas
