Fun fact, in the 1946 adaptation La Belle et la Bête, she appears to be visibly regretful at Beast’s human form and I’m given to understand this is probably intentional. I’ve heard really interesting things about this adaptation and I really want to get a chance to see it.

I‘ve never even seen the Beauty And The Beast musical, but i bought a program of the german production in vienna from 1995 in the Raimund theater, and i thought the pictures in it were really pretty.

Also, Ethan Freeman played the beast in that production. And we can‘t forget Viktor Gernot as Lumière, he looked so good as a candlestick.

Can we talk about how they sometimes used to personalize the ads to the musicals in some of the older programs? That‘s exactly how you‘d get me to buy that car.

(For those who don’t speak german, the ad basically says that the beauty and the beast drive home in their new Sharan after the performance.)
