ftm people: ive heard that transitioning can be a lonely experience just because of the different ways men and women are treated in society (e.g. women have a close knit relationships with other women even strangers, complimenting them and giving out tampons and advice etc. whereas men tend to keep to themselves [or if they can clock you they might avoid or target you] and its not uncommon for women to be afraid and even hostile towards men) From my understanding transitioning to a man can be a very drastic and sudden change and not always for the better, and thats not even including way trans people are treated in todays world.

im 18 and about to finally move out and become the person ive always been in secret and im kind of scared because this transition doesn’t feel like a choice because the way i am now feels unliveable but if i change will the world be inhospitable? is it worth it? will i be okay?

knowing what you know now, would you rather …

be alone in your own body

PSA to Naturalized Citizens in the US

Some time ago I went to request a new ss card on the social security website and it said I wasn't a citizen despite being naturalized over 15 years ago as a kid. Then found out my parents and siblings have the same problem.

If you're a naturalized citizen of the US check on the Social Security website

You're unfortunately going to have to make an account if you don't have one and confirm your identity.

When you're done request a new card (even if you already have yours) and it'll tell you what the status is

There's an issue where some people were never told they had to change that status with SS after naturalization and that it doesn't automatically change

I'm of the belief that no one should be illegal and fuck ICE all the way, but this is a way to make sure that my fellow immigrants, documented or not, are safe

i strongly believe that it's better to take aspirin of a known dosage than to take some willow bark with an unknown amount of active compound that could also just be sawdust from an unrelated tree. like that's just factually correct. medical science is real and the supplement industry is an unregulated nightmare of mostly scams. but. the thing is. if, in order to get aspirin, i had to schedule an appointment where i tell my doctor that my friend said i might have a headache (because i can't just say i have a headache without being treated like a googlemad hypochondriac). and then the doctor nodded and ordered a bunch of expensive tests that have very little to do with my head and a lot to do with the size of my ass. and the tests all came back fine so he shrugged and asked if my head hurt and when i said yes he prescribed me some aspirin while emphasizing he didn't know if it would help but i could give it a shot if i really wanted. and if i had to do that every time i wanted some aspirin. i would probably start eyeballing the willow bark. to be perfectly honest with you.
