I wish to info dump about my Rooks so that is what I shall do.
Ev'lyn de Riva (22yrs old) - Mage with a heavy focus on hidden blades and electricity. Smells like blueberries. Will not answer to her name, you may call her Rook and that is it. Research binges are her specialty and anatomy is her favorite interest. Accidently called Viago 'Dad' once and has not lived it down | Inquisitor Cassius Lavellan
Axel Mercar (26yrs old) - Just a really big elf, like really big. Built like a brick shit-house. Dual blade rogue who somehow moves silently. Minimal sense of humour and doesn't understand how people find him really funny. Pockets full of bugs (I had him as Dalish but as I've been playing around with his backstory, not a huge fan cause it just doesn't fit) | Inquisitor Valerio Lavellan.
Saoirse Ingellvar (28yrs old) - Mage, necromancy and fire. Uses humour to cope. Speaks to corpses' and will throw teeth if startled. No brain to mouth filter, just all thoughts all the time. Point A to point B takes at least 32 detours and there is no such thing as a full stop. Accidental flirt. Passive aggressive bitch. Would do great in Orlais. | Inquisitor Frey
Alice Thorne (19yrs old) - Mage with a heavy focus on frost and shattering. If anyone was ever a straight-A student, it would be her. Just really sweet and sincere. Regularly covered in darkspawsn and laments her light hair for its ability to stain dark with blood. Dalish with a hefty dose of guilt for leaving her clan. | Inquisitor Myrinah Lavellan
ykno what do people usually mean when they say "childhood home" like is it the first place you lived? the longest? theres no way the majority of people lived in one place their WHOLE childhood so like where do you draw the line.....
Mordin's rescue mission of Maelon is just a lot of arguing back and forth between Mordin and Manon Shepard except Mordin thinks they're talking about him and Garrus knows they're talking about Manon.

Look, Grunt is Shepard's child and you can pry that particular headcanon from my cold dead hands but I love the idea of Grunt only knowing post-spaced Shepard in the sense that she, Manon, is very distant and unattached. She's commanding, her presence alone is enough to straighten their backs, but she's not overly involved.
At first.
She doesn't ask a whole bunch of them, it takes a while for her to relax even a little bit. He never even sees it, just hears things whispered along the walls.
Until Tuchunka. She brings the Turian with her because of course she does, like he needs to see this, and glares at anyone who talks shit under their breath, anyone who says a damn thing about either of them. Which is not surprising but it is strange considering. It's only when she embraces the leader, Urdnot Wrex, that he realises he has no fucking idea who Shepard is.
Not until she swears against the others that she, that they, are willing kill for and alongside him. Until she slams her head against the others - the same way Clan Leader Wrex did (and isn't that funny) and growls. Until she marches them both out of there, towards the rite - muttering the whole time. He sees the smirk on the older Krogans face and the glance the two, Garrus and Wrex, share.
He doesn't realise it, but he's been claimed. He's one of hers.
Paragon Manon Shepard in ME2 who is equal parts inspiring for her complete devotion to trying to make things better and equal parts terrifying because sometimes 'the end justifies the means' and no one really gets that change about her now except for Joker, Garrus and Tali. Liara and Wrex do to an extent because even she can tell Manon is different now but to be in such close quarters and see it? Hell, even Dr Chakwas is concerned, cause Shepard is the moral compass right? The voice of reason. Shepard has always gone out of her way to help, to offer advice regardless of whether it is taken. Manon Shepard will simply offer herself to whichever cause needs her because she never wants someone to be in the position she was in on Akuze. However, ME2 Manon? Unhinged, a borderline functional alcoholic with more PTSD than you can poke a stick at and a very short fuse for most outside of the crew and her crew.
But she is still so charming and uplifting that you can't help but like her.
Of course, it doesn't stay like that - she wades through everything and heals herself (inside and out, thank you Cerberus for those lovely scars that fade with each piece of herself she gains back), she becomes more like how she was, who she is, but there's always that adjustment period at the start of ME2.
I will always love the comparisons between Shepard in ME1 and Shepard in ME2 and how the choices and decisions made affect Shepard in ME3.
I just really fucking love Mass Effect and I love Shepard.
Genuinely having so much fun replaying ME2 with Manon Shepard, cause usually I try and switch up who I take where but with the story and her character - Garrus ends up coming 9 times outta 10 so I get little moments of story that help bridge their relationship and I just fucking love it - like with Miranda's loyalty mission, the way the three of them are placed, I can just see Shepard and Garrus exchanging looks over the top of Miranda's head when she's speaking about Niket. Direct communication without words, I love them!
I love ME2 so much, purely for the characters and the storytelling surrounding them - like, I know the constant missions regarding the companions can be a bit much but that's why I love it? It's almost like a break in between ME1 and ME3 which are both plot focused games.
Even only a couple hours in, the conversations with Miranda always blow my mind. In terms of my current playthrough, with Manon Shepard, she's very straightforward but then the longer Shepard is on the ship, the more she connects with her crew - Shepard has a way of making them feel more than what they are. It was kinda touched on in ME1, with Wrex and Liara especially, but ME2 is where it really shines.
I just have so many fucking thoughts about the Cerberus operatives and Shepard, thinking she's one way and realising they were not prepared for that fucking focus when it's directed straight at you and the care she puts into every conversation, how much she'll have your back and how much you want to give in return. It's such an interesting dynamic depending on what kind of Shepard you're playing as.
Oh god, I forgot how devastating Corporal Toombs is. Manon Shepard didn't fight him in his revenge but she was unable to stop him from making her the sole survivor and if that doesn't just fucking cut her up.
Makes for a very quiet extraction back to the Normandy, makes for some pivotal changes in her relationships with both Garrus and Wrex.
Current Inquisitor is Lyana Trevelyan, ex-circle mage and I'm loving it. I have a rough idea of the world state (Sohelia Cousland, Annalise Hawke, Lyana Trevelyan, Unknown Rook) and I'm honestly living for DA right now.
Lyana Trevelyan and 5 facts!
Youngest of 5 and the only mage. Late developer so she remembers a lot of her early life before the Circle (around 8/9).
Has a confusing relationship with her family. She doesn't speak of them often but regardless of any issues they may have, she doesn't want them in danger.
Pragmatic and tactical. Has emotional outburst like most anyone in high stress situations but will always fall back to logic. Too serious for her own good at times.
Took a very long time to become close with the Inquisitions inner circle, especially with Cullen and Vivienne (who are her some of her closest companions).
Comes from a Noble family but she's humble. Partially from her time in the Circle and also from her time afterwards. Prior to the Conclave she found a place with a group of apostates just trying to avoid chaos and stay safe. Gave her even more perspective on things and was part of the reason she refrained from contacting her family for a very long time. Will wince if you call her 'Lady Trevelyan'.
I made Ciara's dream visitor her Mother because ouch. Obviously she's what Ciara envisions her Mother to be because the little memories she has of the Underdark are scarce and foggy.
Eventually, redeemed and ready to save the world, she's gonna look a lot more like her mother considering at the moment she looks more than a little creepy which is perfect for being a completely unhinged little Bhaalspawn.
DATV except Rook is Kieran and every time he and Morrigan are in the same scene he’s silently begging her to please be cool be cool don’t tell them you’re my mom and she’s just going along with it pretending she doesn’t know her own kid or that they’re related whatsoever because she remembers how embarrassing it is to be sent off on a special mission to save the world by your own mom
