Hi, everyone! I'm Ace, an Afro-Native artist based in Philadelphia. I am also a lesbian, trans masc, and physically and mentally disabled (fibromyalgia, BP1, BPD, GAD, OCD, AuDHD).

For my birthday (OCT 30th), I am asking for help to ease my financial worries. As someone with fibromyalgia, traditional work has been a burden on my joints and muscles for the past 7-8 years. My current job as an insurance agent hasn't been working too well, either. I don't want much for my birthday. I mainly wish for some financial stability and the chance to go out for a few hours to make up for last year!

Last year, I wasn't able to enjoy my birthday due to being discharged from the ward that very day. I have also been struggling with my physical health, finances, and work for the past few months. I have many things to pay off including rent, medical bills, a furniture bill, credit cards, and necessities like meds, toiletries, toll, gas, and groceries.

Fun fact: I used to research theoretical physics for fun as a 6th grader. Listening to Midnight Burger has only fueled my love for cool science I can't fully understand. It's a welcome comfort, on my bad days.

the thing about disability is it really does sometimes boil down to "wow i wish i could do that" and then you can't. and it sucks.

accomodations are important but i think they miss the point of this post. sometimes you can't do it. at all. someone needs to do it for you or it will never happen.
