the headline was funny but the full quote is killing me. why did she phrase it like that.
[ID 1: An article headline from the New York Post. It reads: "Rebecca Black reveals 'gay sex' helped her cope with grueling Katy Perry tour schedule".]
[ID 2: An excerpt of the article. It reads: "'I have said it once, and I'll say it again,' Black, 28, told People before heading into the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. 'It is the gay sex that I am so blessed to have that I can look forward to.'"]

Air to air combat is the easiest form of warfare to argue that both parties consent to. Dogfighting is basically kink and it should turn you on at least a little.
"yeah this is a totally platonic rivalry" you are literally doing this
This honestly does it all such little justice. You need to know your opponents airframe intimately- how it handles, turns, how much it weights and how it pulls against the air. How to dance with her body elegantly, and all for just a brief moment under the sights. The strain of your body as you pull the stick, the strain of the engines as they try to give all the force you need. All for a glimpse. The blood rushing from your head as you push forward, the fight for elevation, dominance, potential energy. Position is gained slowly and lost quickly. Eagerness can find you vulnerable, under the eye of your enemy. And all they need too, just a brief glimpse. Just one moment under her sights till you’re undone, penetrated, bleeding oil and smoke and shuddering.
Aircraft Mechanic (angry): Hey! You're trying to fuck my wife!

[ID 1: The diagram for "Rolling scissors" from an article about aerial combat manoeuvres. The paths of two fighter jets are being traced through a tight, converging helix.]
[ID 2: A screenshot of a google image search result titled "How Do Snakes Mate". Two snakes' bodies are coiled tightly around one another.]

the set of ships is nonempty and finite
(any reasonable notion of) size induces a total order on the set of equivalence classes of ships of the same size
every nonempty finite total order has a maximum
there exists a ship that is no smaller than any other ship
QED
shaking my head but shaking my head the whole time to show i dont support negativity
massively expanding the concept of "god of the gaps" to include everything i don't immediately apprehend or understand. dark matter is god. chinese is the language of god. a car with tinted windows is being driven by god
are we serious
Stranger Things season 1: beneath the superficial image of “peace and prosperity” in 1980s small-town America, there was the painful legacy of countless atrocities committed by the American government in the name of ‘freedom.’
Stranger Things season 4: evil Russians (not Soviets) have sent our All-American Hero to the gulags which apparently still exist in the 1980s and it’s up to us to save him 🇺🇸🦅🫡
There’s probably a term that already exists for this but if there isn’t I’m gonna call it ‘Rambofication’ in honor of its probably most well known instance: Rambo First Blood was about a soldier, John Rambo (that’s his actual name I’m not doing a bit), returning home from the Vietnam war, so traumatized by war that he brought the war home with him to a small town, unable to adapt to life without strict military discipline and hierarchy. Subsequent Rambo movies were about how John Rambo was the only supersoldier tough enough and patriotic enough to kill faceless hordes of dastardly foreign commies.
Ergo, ‘Rambofication’ is the process of a series starting with a relatively nuanced or subversive narrative before its sequels become a shallow embrace of the very narrative it originally subverted. It happens surprisingly often!
