everyone hyper focused on eddie pulling up the weight like how he tried and failed to pull buck up after the lighting strike… what about eddie now being able to pull a firetruck with his own weight after not being able to lift the firetruck that pinned and crushed buck’s leg?

here’s why i’m not scared of eddie calling buck “brother” when he left the bar:

look at the way eddie is looking at buck. specifically when buck says he’s ready to go and stands up. that man is in love with his best friend. that man would’ve jumped up and kissed his man right then and there, but realistically, why would we get buddie in an episode that belongs to the other show?

dixie was sitting there the whole time out of frame, she could’ve said anything much sooner. instead, they wrote the scene to have her wait until it appears that buck and eddie are about to return to the hotel (leaving space for the fandom to theorize what would happen after these looks)

so dixie asks who will buy her a drink after they stand up, which shows us that buck stays and eddie leaves with a “goodnight, brother.”

i’m not worried about the use of “brother” in regards of buck.

eddie hasn’t come out yet, we’re still “under the impression” that he’s straight. in this scene, we see that buck and eddie are alone, away from their life in LA and away from the people who know them best. eddie looks soft in a way that maybe suggests he felt like he could be his true self in nashville with buck because he trusts buck that much.

but then dixie is asking both of them who will buy her a drink, eddie panics, says “goodnight brother” and leaves.

that’s not buddie getting pushed back again, that’s eddie clamping down and hiding who he is because he’s not ready for his truth to be revealed. even to someone who’s still pretty much a stranger to them.

trust that buddie is happening. we’re literally so close, it’s not even a joke anymore.

what if Eddie reacted like that when Buck told him he was on a date with Tommy, because Eddie saw some of Tommy’s true colors when they hung out and decided he didn’t like Tommy then?

Rude to waiting staff, maybe wasn’t so filtered with what he said about certain people, incredibly arrogant. The list of possibilities could go on.

So Eddie decided to not like Tommy, then found out Buck was now dating him? That made Eddie’s dislike into hatred. How dare this horrible man date his best friend?

That’s why we see the bitch face Eddie served at the bachelor party, and seemed to have avoided doing anything with Tommy (with or without Buck) after they started dating. That’s also why Eddie didn’t hesitate to cut ties with Tommy the moment they broke up.

How much do you wanna bet Eddie friendship dumped Tommy when Buck was still sitting next to him on his couch???

it’s headcannon to me that Athena would just about to cancel Bobby’s phone line and save a bit of money each month, but saw that Buck texts and leaves voicemails to Bobby multiple times a day so she decided to keep paying the fees each month so Buck can have his coping outlet. and no one can convince me otherwise.

Buck started to get truly annoyed when one day at work, Ravi took his seat. The man just worked his ass off preparing dinner for everyone, okay? All he wanted to do was enjoy the nice meal he made next to his secret boyfriend?- his Eddie while he watched his family learn to love these dinners again.

But when Buck forgot one last thing on the counter, he grabbed it and watched Ravi sit in the only spot next to Eddie. He nearly dropped the wicker basket of rolls.
