Schrödinger’s buddie: not canon but also canon enough to get hate crimed in small towns
Ok wait I'm not paying for these subscription services to watch my non canon ship to be hate crimed.... This better be fucking worth it
I'm like 3 weeks late but I can't believe they put spn song© (carry on wayward son) over a buddie scene
The most delicious destiel edit plays in my mind every time I listen to down bad
did you seriously just let it linger
happy destiel wedding anniversary to all who celebrate <33333
omg they're in love
While I'm on the subject, how long do we suppose Dean was being bled for? Like based on how time passes faster in the dream like it could've just been a few minutes/hours and idk how quickly blood was leaving him, but he breaks a (mostly cut) rope, is fast kills the djinn, and he is like carrying the girl at the end without any signs of fatigue really and like adrenaline is crazy but idk if it's that crazy when you're low on blood
There being a Carmen in what is and what should never be is really so funny to me and takes me out of it... Like I understand Dean's dream life would include a significant other who he can settle down with but like genuinely who is this woman and why is she included in the emotional climax of the episode.... Like they couldn't have brought Cassie back or something?
Were the show runners trying to make us like John? Genuinely curious cuz like I don't know if they wanted the audience's feelings about him to mirror sam and dean's feelings about him as the show progresses but we know by episode 4 I believe (phantom traveler?) that John knew he would be difficult to reach and never told dean (or Sam obviously) and instead of picking up the phone to give them any kind of heads up he just changes his voicemail to tell people to call Dean instead (placing more responsibility on him) and then Faith happens and Dean almost dies for real and John doesn't know or maybe got Sam's messages and doesn't care (?)... Really that's enough for me like I actually hate him so much by the time Faith rolls around and that's just the tip of a very big iceberg and then I feel like they want us to just forgive him by s2e1 when he trades his life for Dean's which like ya cool but that doesn't erase what happened 12 episodes ago........... And then a lot of season 2 has like Sam being like "y'know dad wasn't too bad" but like girl no!
Like realistically they probably wanted to make him complex or some shit to make our feelings somewhere in the middle ground and recognize he isn't all good or bad which sure but I'm almost certain every good thing John has to offer as a character is established by end of season 1 and after that everything we learn about him is terrible.... And not go too much into comparisons because I don't remember everyone's backstories that well but I'm pretty certain just about every other parental figure throughout the show is way better to their kids than John ever was to Sam and Dean (except probably the Novaks or Dean to Jack).... Like Ellen wasn't perfect but she was way better than John, obviously Bobby and Jody are pretty great, etc etc
I truly just hate him so much
I don't know how I wrote this entire post and forgot that Dean knew John was possessed when he was proud and forgiving of Dean.... Like ok lol there's no way they really wanted us to like him
you can literally see cas and dean’s relationship begin to develop in fucking season 4. like in lucifer rising when dean is waiting in the angel room, and zachariah enters, dean stays the fuck away. he does not go anywhere NEAR that angel. they both basically do melodramatic laps around the room throughout the whole conversation. then cas enters and they’re fucking 2 inches away for 90% of the conversation. dean calls zachariah every name in the planet and dude could not care less. dean calls cas names and cas looks like he wants to kill himself. dean doesn’t let zechariah everywhere near him, and he fully trusts cas when cas puts a hand over deans mouth with a knife in the other hand.

I also think Mary gets a lot of hate, almost to the same level as John and that's simply not fair.... Obviously she has some low moments and she's not winning any mother of the year awards but the circumstances are just so different and unusual that I simply cannot work myself up to the same level of hatred/anger at her, even if they did deserve better... (although maybe this is a bit of a lie and the hatred for John is just so fresh because I'm rewatching from the beginning so I'm reliving his crimes)

"Cas, you just gave up an entire army for one guy." YEAH IT WAS YOU. JUST KISS HIM DEAN.
Wait guys I didn't know spn was leaving Netflix at the end of the year????
it heals my heart every time supernatural trends, but especially when it's because new people are watching for the first time. i was 14 when supernatural premiered. this is my "do not cite the deep magic to me, witch" show. and there's nothing better than watching the newbies realize that, yes, Dean and Castiel really are Like That, start to finish
