Honeydew The main out-of-towner farmer character for my chunk of the Mistria universe, Honey is a seasoned adventurer who was looking for some kind of retirement after losing an eye and a leg and just being Worn Out. Farming wasn't on their radar, but they take to it fairly quickly, enjoying the peace of a small town in the countryside not plagued by monsters. And when he gets restless, there's always the mines to fight and dig through. Specializes in combat, smithing, and animal handling.

Thalassa Some kind of mercreature native to the Tide Caverns, where she met Honey while he was fishing. The only food she loves more than raw fish she caught herself is cooked fish prepared by one of her cool new human friends. She's easy to befriend with offerings of fish and stories of the outside world, and a mutual fascination developed between her and definitely-not-girlfriends Valen and Juniper. I imagine, if she was an NPC in your game, you'd be able to make a large pond/small lake on your farm for her to chill in?

Xylem A forest spirit charged with minding the graves and guiding lost travelers through the Deep Woods, it fell into a long nap some years ago and is awoken once the Woods are accessible again. It feels immense warmth and curiosity toward anyone to enter the Woods, including the ancient dragon who came to chill recently. Its true form is much larger and kind of gnarly, made of vines and bones and ghostly lights, so it tries its best to look more "normal" when dealing with mortals.

This has been my main argument against "AI" from the very beginning.

OpenAI scraped the entire web. All of which had been a labor of love from humans. Wikipedia is the backbone of a lot of LLMs, and that was volunteer human labor. They stole it and now they're selling it back to us.

And worse, they're trying to destroy the free sources that they stole from. It's destruction of human knowledge on an unprecedented scale. The burning of the library of Alexandria has nothing on this.
