Thinking more about The Fall Guy (shocker), and I really like the moment when Jody talks about how dangerous it was to light Colt on fire repeatedly, although it WAS cathartic.
And Colt, as far as we can tell, isn't bothered by this at all. He just gives a little smile and shrug and says he deserved it.
And I don't know if I can quite articulate why I like this bit so much. But like. He shows that he considers her feelings to be valid. He doesn't blame her for getting them out the way she did. He acknowledges that he messed up but also he doesn't wallow in it and turn it into self-pity or talk about how guilty he is or anything like that, which would make it about himself - the focus stays on her.
And I just. Ugh it's so simple but so sweet.
