A fun thing about fiction with large casts of characters is that sometimes you'll have a Spicy Bananas moment where every single character has an identical yet wildly atypical experience of some very mundane thing, and slowly you realise that the author isn't Making A Point, they just think that's normal.

#throwback to the time I drew my main character sitting down and leaning on his hand #but instead of leaning weight on his palm. he was leaning on his fingers #so instead of a bend at the wrist. it was at the knuckles/mcp joints #like. greater than 90° backward #and someone commented #“what the FUCK is going on with his hand”#acting like his fingers were broken #and I was like ??? I used my hands as a reference #only to be told Most People Can’t Do That #I very quickly discovered I was hypermobile and that you should Not be able to bend your knuckles back like that #hashtag I’m disabled now

witch hat atelier is great because in the first few chapters it looks like its really just going to be a cute magical girl story about hope and friendship but then you keep reading and its about how fascist societies fabricate a social structure to divide how power and information is disseminated and what life is like as a disabled person in that society. and then its also still about hope and friendship, but if hope and friendship could kill you.
