I think one of my favorite Trolley Operators thoughts is the concept of Eva showing Ava all her favorite things about Earth. Obviously Eva loves Earth more than anything, and I think she would be over the moon to have the opportunity to show someone why she is fighting so hard for this planet, especially since Ava grew up in space, where the concept of Earth was more of fantasy, long gone from humans destroying it and also the whole Rapture thing. And even though Earth probably isn't at its prime in the hypothetical situation were Ava magically shows up, there would certainly still be enough to truly make an impression. Eva could show her simple things like foods (bonus points if its ones specifically important or traditional to Eva, I also think Ava really needs a Monster energy drink. This is important to me), fun activities (I think Eva would like ice skating, and what better time than when the world is freezing over?) and seeing Ava really take likings to certain things she never thought she would, and learning that she was also right for wanting to try and preserve any hopes for humanity, and helping each other heal and accept the hard choices they have had to make, and that they meant something.

I've never actually written fanfic stuff before but they make me really want to explore more stuff with this... Maybe one day I will give it a try

shout out to project hail mary for being a platonic romantic movie. like. Like. every other scene with eva or rocky harks deeply on romantic tropes. rocky and grace pressing their faces together through the xenonite. grace going to find eva on the deck of the ship, being the only one who looked for her. the dance between the blip-a and the hail mary when they first connect tunnels. eva telling grace she believes in him like a prayer. rocky being bossy and impassioned and grace being exasperated but also adoring it. the entire karaoke scene, the cuts to graces smile while she sings. rocky screaming at grace to Get The Fuck Inside during the taumeoba mission. and its a lovestory abt platonic love. at no point does the movie imply either of these relationships should be or are romantic. but they are love stories. Lowers my body into the marsh.

Just found out about Trolley Operators and I’m having the best time ever. Anyways here’s headcanons:

Ava is horrified by the amount of coffee Stratt drinks; “CAFFEINE IS SUCH A PRIZED RESOURCE AND YOU’RE DILUTING LOADS OF IT WITH ALMOND MILK AND CORN SYRUP ON THE DAILY YOU DOLT” “Don’t you dare attempt to take this from me, you’ve seen what I did to Antarctica now imagine what I’ll do to you”

Stratt treats Ava the same way she treats Grace, i.e if anyone ever attempts to question Ava for her decisions or her right to being by Stratt’s side she gives them the “I’m not above killing and lying about it” glare.

Ava and Stratt have long late night talks about history and religion, it always makes them somber but being with each other under a sky of present and healthy stars always helps.

Stratt and Ava both approach each other with such an air of caution for the first while after they meet each other; Stratt doesn’t trust herself to make a friend she won’t sacrifice for the greater good, Ava doesn’t trust that Stratt is real. She’s so alien and strange that Ava can’t be sure she herself is alive.

Stratt was 100% ready to take a temporary step back from unethical science until Ava causally revealed that she got blasted with a radiation camera and was like “yeahhhh I might die soon but that’s ok lol” and Stratt immediately began looking into highly illegal ways to keep her alive

The idea of Mario and Peach having any kind of relationship beyond the occasional kiss on the nose and "mama mia" is like viscerally incomprehensible to me

Not like in a prude way I just can't conceive of Mario experiencing... urges. He's a character outside the scope of that. I'm not saying he's asexual either cause positioning him on the allo/ace spectrum implies that it's a dimension of his character that at least exists, that he has at some point noticed it. I think he just jumps.

So unlike Mario, who continues to be essentially a void with no internality, I actually act with thoughts and intent and already did do that when writing this post.

Mario is a mascot of one of the most sanitized corporate brands in existence. He differs from real, full-fledged ace people in that his sexlessness is not queer, not transgressive in any sense of the word, just a void left by his position as a player character. He has no queer identity because he has no identity beyond the fact that it's-a-him, Mario.

But for Rocky he would definitely be more manipulative and misleading like Ellie. I don't believe he'll be friendly like his OG counterpart is.

But he uses music/vibrations to communicate still. Able to mimic some human speech due to the amalgamation of other people connected to his body.

So like OG Simon, Rocky is able to manipulate Grace and drag him near the Arrogant God (which would be Adrian in this case)

It’s a slight tradition of mine to draw something for the fanfiction I post, so I’ve wanted to draw something for That’s where it starts for a while now, but kinda struggled with what exactly I could draw for such a short fic. In the end this is the idea that I landed on and have spent some time messing around with, since I got the urge to experiment a little with how I drew this one. The result is a bit different from my usual stuff, but I’m pretty happy about it!
