@king-salsa also, because I see in your responses that you’ve been bringing up intersex people as some kind of “gotcha,” what do DSDs actually have to do with trans people?? we can split hairs all day about whether sex is binary or not, that’s a pointless conversation. regardless, your sex cannot CHANGE during your life. that’s why “corrective” surgeries performed on intersex people are unhelpful at best and extremely harmful at worst. because it doesn’t change the person’s sex. it’s a cosmetic bandaid to make a person “pass” one way or another. it doesn’t do anything to change the sex of the person, who will still experience all of the physical, genetic, and health dispositions of their sex. they still have a DSD.
how can you understand that for DSDs but not for trans people? how can you (rightfully) call the negative effects and the futility of those surgeries on people with DSDs intersexism, but fully support those damaging procedures for trans people?
