Hey! Hope you're doing well. Can I request hermes x reader where hermes is begging the reader for attention plspls🩷🩷🩷
A little bit of attention
“My love come on, you're killing me” Hermes whined. He'd been like this for the past twenty minutes, maybe longer. You however have no intention of letting him have his way again.
“I didn't know gods could die.” You said dryly.
“Oh yes they can.” He said, a bit too serious for your liking.
“Uh uh.” You replied, not even looking up as you finished the final touches on the sculpture.
“I can see it now. Lord Hermes, cause of death, being ignored by his lover.” Hermes said.
You stifled a laugh, and dipped your paintbrush in the dark blue paint, still ignoring Hermes.
The reason for this dramatic scene was rather silly. You had to make a dozen sculptures of the ruling king for an upcoming festival, because of which you hadn't been able to give enough attention to your lover, Lord Hermes.
Your silence seemed to annoy lord Hermes. He forced you to look at him, by tilting your face towards him.
Before you can say anything, he's kissing you. He pulled you onto his lap, and as you straddled him, your back hit the table, breaking the moment.
You slid off him, your eyes scanning the table. “That better not have messed anything up. I still have three statues and only two days…” Thankfully, nothing was ruined. Yet, all this was clearly stressing you out. Maybe a break could help..
“Let's go somewhere else,” Hermes suggests, as if reading your mind. He slides out of your workbench, and pulls you with him. “A break will do wonders for your brain.”
He doesn't give you a chance to say anything, as he pushes you against the wall, kissing you again.
Curiosty killed the cat(but satisfaction brought it back)

A/N: IM BACK
Paris was so very destroyed when Marinette stepped in through the portal. Her Aunt seemed to have a heart attack at the sight but Marinette had gotten used to it.
“Ma— Ladybug… how will you save this place ?” Her Aunt asked, her expression somewhere between terrified and shocked.
“I have a plan. I can fix this mess.” Ladybug said, mostly to herself as she assessed the damage level.
“Darling, this place is damaged beyond repair. How will you..?"
Before Ladybug could reply, a familiar voice spoke up. “Ladybug ? What are you doing here ? And… who is this ?” Princess Honey asked.
She seemed… tired. Ladybug turned towards her, “No time to explain, we have to defeat… er — ”
“Ravager.” The bee hero supplied.
“Right, Ravager. They seem to live up to their name. Any clues on why they were akumatized ?”
“None, and on top of that, they seem to be invulnerable.” She seemed frustrated, which was to be expected.
“Where were they last seen ?”
“At the Louvre, they seem to have made it their lair of sorts, Cat Noir and Viperion are supposed to be there at the moment, analysing the situation.”
“Then I suppose we should head there ?” Her Aunt interrupted. That seemed to turn on a switch in Ladybug's mind, and she gasped, opening her yoyo.
“What ? Is something wrong ?” Princess Honey asked, curious and worried.
“No it's… I have a plan. They're not the only thing that's invulnerable..” Ladybug muttered.
“What do you mean, Ladybug ?” Selina asked, exchanging a look with Princess Honey.
“We don't wait for the Ravager to make a move, we bring the fight to their doorstep.” Ladybug said grimly, her mind quickly devising a plan.
<•••••••••••••••••••••••>
The fight lasted a solid half hour. Ladybug's plan worked perfectly, as usual. Ravager did not expect that the heroes would Storm into her ‘base’. She tried to destroy them, as every other villain before her.
Her gun, which seemed to be her weapon which could shoot waves of devastating destruction, was the akumatized object. Marinette had used the Rooster Miraculous to grant invulnerability to herself, Selina, Princess Honey, Viperion and Chat Noir.
When Ravager realised her attacks were futile, she tried to escape. But with a strategically placed portal by Selina, or Mare as she wished to be called, they managed to trap Ravager caging her against a wall, with no place to escape.
Before the Miracle Court could even try to convince Ravager to reject the akuma, Mare had disarmed here with a flawless move, quick and efficient.
She then tossed it to Ladybug, as Ravager pounced on Mare. Everyone watched in awe as Mare effortlessly dodged, and within seconds, Ravager was on the ground, her masked face pressed to the uneven, destroyed ground of the Louvre, Mare on top of her, not even a bit shaken or affected.
Ladybug snapped the gun in half, a bit too easily, and the akuma flew out. After cleansing the akuma, and reverting the damage, Ladybug silently disappearing, dragging Mare with her.
In the confusion of the aftermath of the battle, no one noticed till it was too late…
…………………..
“So.. You're a super hero.” Selina stated.
"Yeah. I promise I'll explain everything later, but you need to teleport us back to the manor, now." Marinette said, avoiding her aunt's eyes
"Okay. I can do that." Selina hummed as she summoned the portal.
Back at the manor, in the bathroom, Bunnyx was waiting for them. She smiled at them, and let them into the burrow. Then, when they came back out, they had traveled back in time, to a few seconds after they left.
“Magic is.. amazing,” Selina marvelled.
Marinette smiled. “Thats true, but now we should act like—”
“Nothing happened ?” Selina finished, smiling.
“Yes. I promise, I will explain everything later.” Marinette said, fixing her dress.
“I'm holding on to that promise.” Her aunt said, bumping her hip.
The two walked out together, and when they walked in, every eye turned towards them.
"Is everything all right ?" Bruce asked.
“Yes.” Selina said smoothly, “It was just a little.. misunderstanding.” Marinette smiled at everyone, nodding.
“Well, if you say so.” Bruce said, relaxing slightly.
The rest of the dinner went normally enough, and the drive back home was so silent, that Marinette almost fell asleep.
Almost.
“Now,” her aunt said the second they entered their apartment, “Explain. From the start.”

( This Chapter is... Something. I really wanted to show more of the miracle court, but was restricted to only chloe, cause I felt Marinette wouldn't introduce her aunt yet, not when they were pressed for time. The next few chapters will focus more on lore and world building. I reallyyyy hope you like this chapter. Honestly your comments really help a lot, some comments from previous chapters might be the reason I managed to finish this chapter. )
Being a half blood is never easy, and Elara Anastasia Black, or Anastasia Castellan as she is known in Camp Half Blood, knows that all too well. Being a daughter of Hecate and a witch attending Hogwarts was just the cherry on top.
Follow her first six years at Hogwarts as she meets other Demi gods like her, and makes friends and enemies in the way.
“Hush now, my dear” the goddess said, trying to placate the infant in her hand, barely a few days old. The infant in her hand, was not just her own, but also, a daughter to the most ancient and noble house of Black.
The title alone would get the child a lot of protection, but this wasn't the place she was to be. Not yet.
So, she took the baby from her father, and placed her in the care of someone who once had a future with magic.Standing in front of May Castellan’s house, she rang the bell.
Of course, when May eventually opened the door, Hecate would no longer be there, but instead, she would see a child, much like her, and would have a strange will to take her in. Her daughter would be safe.
Satisfied, Hecate disappeared, placing the child,in a basket filled with money, the infant's name, and her symbol, two crossed torches. Just like she had predicted, Hecate’s daughter was taken in, and given the name Anastasia Castellan.
In another part of the world, Sirus Black mourned the loss of his daughter Elara, and burned his ties with his family.
<••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••>
9 years before the Battle of Olympus
“Luke !” A 6 year old Ana asked, “Where are you going ?” Luke turned around conflicted. What was he to say to his adopted sister, that he was running away ?
That he was leaving her with their eccentric mother ? No, he can't do that. Not when she depended on him. Looking into her grey eyes, he made a split second decision, knowing he can't leave the only person who made his life bearable.
Sighing, he said, “Ana, go pack your things, we must leave immediately if we want to-”
but he was cut off by the toddler’s excited shriek, as she ran to go pack her things. Shaking his head fondly, he followed her. With everything going on, he loved his little sister Anastasia, even though she was adopted. That was why Luke was taking her with him, despite it being dangerous.
She was a demigod, he could feel it. Weird things happened around her, the same way weird things happened around him. But he just didn't know who her mother, or father was. The only thing he knew was that she was his sister, and he couldn't leave her.
Rolling her eyes, Anastasia sat next to Annabeth at the Athena Table. As her Mother was a minor goddess, Hecate, she didn't really have the constraint of sitting at one table. She usually sat at the Hermes table, or with Annabeth.
“Come one, Annie I'm not really a kid,” Anastasia said, exasperated.
“Nope,” Annabeth said with a cheeky smile, "You're a year and a half younger than me, and that makes you a kid !”
“Whatever,” Anastasia said, rolling her eyes with no real malice.“Well jokes apart, what do you want to do today ?” Annabeth asked, as they ate breakfast.
Chewing her food she said, “Haven't really thought about it, you know ?”
“Well in that case-” Annabeth started, but was cut off by a very loud ‘whoo’.
Looking in front of her, Anastasia found a huge brown owl, staring into her soul. It pushed a rolled up scroll to her. Curious, Ana picked it up. “What is it ?” Annabeth asked, looking nervously at the owl.
Opening the scroll, Anastasia was shocked to see who it was addressed to.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)
Dear Ms. Black,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.
Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress
Stunned, she passed the letter to Annabeth, who read it, and looked at her with a confused expression. “Who is this Miss Black ?” she asked.
Ana shook her head “I don't know.” Chewing her lip, Annabeth studied the letter, “Let's show this to Chiron, I'm sure he has an explanation.” Too confused to give a proper response, she just followed Annabeth to the Big House. <••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••>
“A strange letter ?” Chiron asked, his gaze penetrating through Anastasia as if he was reading her mind. “Give it here,”As they were about to give the letter to Chiron, a vivid green light filled the room, and Hecate stood in front of them, near the door.
In a second, she had taken the letter from Annabeth's hand, and turned to Chiron. “Remember when I said she was special?” Hecate asked, her voice soft.
Chiron nodded.“Well, this is what I meant.” Turning to Anastasia she said, “Dear, you are not just a demigod, but you are also a witch.” Anastasia’s eyes widened “Wha- what ?” She asked, shocked.
Sighing, Hecate explained, “Long ago, I blessed some mortals. They were gifted with a natural affinity for magic, but they were still mortals. Yet, they managed to understand magic, and developed their society. This letter is from Hogwarts, one of their schools for learning magic.”
Without waiting for Anastasia to wrap her mind around everything, Hecate continued. “Your father is a member of this society, and so, you have inherited his blood, and therefore his affinity for magic, making you a witch.”
Anastasia just stood there, trying to come to terms with everything that had happened.“Will I.. I mean I have to go to this.. Hogwarts then ?”
“Yes, but don't worry. There are plenty of demigods there” Hecate said, sympathetically. “Okay,” Anastasia said, softly.
“Well, now that it's settled, I better be going.” Hecate said.Ignoring Chiron and Annabeth, Hecate looked at Ana and said, “Good luck, my dear,” before disappearing just as quickly as she had appeared.
“Well… What does the letter say ?” Chiron asked. “We can't let you go to school unprepared, can we ?”
Nodding enthusiastically, Annabeth said, “We need to make sure you have everything ready to go !” Smiling weakly, she agreed with them. Even though her world has been tilted completely, she still had her family

Malfoys never get jealous. Ever. That was because whatever they wanted, they would get it. That's just how things were. So what is this strange feeling Draco’s feeling ?
Word count: 1232
A/N : not beta read im sorry. Also it alternates between Draco and Your(reader's) perspective. I really hope it isn't too confusing 😭. I hope you like this ! Also I really hope u like this it took me forever to write .
That was because whatever they wanted, they would get it.That's just how things were.
So what is this strange feeling Draco’s feeling ?
It started small, just a slight tightness in his heart, whenever some boy would get too close to her. He knew he didn't deserve her after everything he did. But what was he, if not greedy ?
So he made up his mind. One way or the other, he'd have her. Because she wanted him too.
At least that's what he thought when he approached her and slyly chased away the boy who was bothering her.
“Hawthorne, I think I heard Daphne looking for you,” he said smoothly, standing as a barrier between the boy and her. He subtly glared at the boy, and the boy wasted no time to leave. “I’'ll… I'll see you later then..” He said before scurrying off.
“Malfoy ! What was that for ?” She snapped, her braid swinging wildly as she turned to him. Her cheeks were flushed, was she really mad at him ?
Or… could it be that she was interested in that boy after all ?
“What do you mean ? You should be thanking me, wasn't he bothering you ?” Draco said, slightly defensive. He tried to ignore the way she watched the boy — Zacharias Smith— leave.
“Just — Just forget it.” She said storming off. Something had gone terribly wrong.
<•••••••••••••••>
Later that week
(Your pov)
“Hawthorne ! Hurry up ! We don't have all day.” Pansy screeched.
Me, Pansy and Daphne had planned on going to hogsmeade together to buy a gift for Theodore, his birthday was just around the corner. Of course Daphne would get him something extra special and we would have to help her pick it out, but today was also a great time to relax and be with my friends.
And also an ideal plan to forget about Draco.
“Coming !” I screamed back, pulling my scarf closer. Winter break was just around the corner too, and I just couldn't wait. The trip was uneventful, shopping even more so. I got Theo a beautiful quill set, and Pansy got him an emerald green scarf.
Daphne however fussed over what to get him. It hadn't been long since Daphne admitted she liked Theo, but ever since, me and Pansy had tried to set them up to no avail.
An extravagant birthday gift was yet another of Pansy's crazy plans to set them up.
Finally after a dozen ‘i don't know if he'll like this’ and ‘this seems cheap’ ; Daphne settled on getting him a bag of chocolates and a set of beautiful Sapphire cufflinks which she decided to order through mail.
We were on our way back as we saw Malfoy and his friends entering The Three Broomsticks. My heart skipped a beat. I almost told the two about my feelings for him. Almost.
“Since we're done shopping, how about we go to The Three Broomsticks and get some butterbeer ?” Pansy asked, stopping me and Daphne on our path.
“It has nothing to do with the boys entering it right ?” Daphne replied, nudging her. I laughed along with her as Pansy turned beet red, ignoring the way my heart clenched.
Right.
This is why I never told them I liked Draco. I had no right to be jealous. I should be happy Pansy and Daphne were my friends. How could I covet Pansy's crush, Draco ?
“You know what, I don't feel like it. Why don't we head back ?” I asked.
Pansy looped her hands in mine. “Absolutely not. All you ever do is study and hole up in our dorm. Come on, loosen up.”
And just like that, I found myself in the three broomsticks, sitting right in front of Draco freaking Malfoy.
<•••••••••••••••>
(Draco's Pov)
Draco didn't think she would walk in. But she did.
Theo called them over, and Draco and Blaise didn't stop him. We both knew how in love he was with Daphne. Plus, Blaise had been trying to hit on Pansy recently.
And she was there too. Not that he'd ever admit it out loud. Theo instantly pulled Daphne opposite to him and Pansy took the seat in the middle, in front of Blaise.
The only remaining spot was in front of Draco.
She hesitantly sat down, and our knees brushed. She pulled them back immediately, and refused to even look at Draco, focusing on Blaise. Fine. If that is how she was going to be, two could play the game.
Draco causally stretched his leg so that it touched her, and it satisfied hum to see her jump ever so slightly and look at him.
Draco smirked, “Everything alright, Rosie ?” he asked sarcastically, using the old nickname. The others had quietened down and were watching the display now. “Yes.” she replied stiffly.
Before he could say anything else, she stood up. “I'm going to head back, I don't feel all that well.” Taking her bag, she stormed off without looking back. Daphne too said she should head back, and dragged Pansy out with her.
As soon as the girls left, Blaise and Theo rounded up on Draco. “Okay mate, I think we've been patient enough. What's up with you and Hawthorne ?” Blaise asked.
“Nothing at all,” Draco said nonchalantly, “Just that she refuses to acknowledge I exist since…”
“Since ?” Theo prompted, his knees bouncing.
“I.. might have scared Zacharias Smith away from her — but in my defense he didn't seem like he had good intentions.”
“You know, if you like her, you should just tell her.” Blaise said, exasperated.
“….”
“Look, you need to stop being an ass to her. I'm sure she likes you too.” Blaise continued, standing up.
“Yeah, just tell her how you feel.” Theo agreed, nodding enthusiastically.
“Okay. I.. I guess I will.” Draco muttered.
Draco didn't miss the look Theo and Blaise exchanged.
The only thing on hiz mind on the way back was how he would tell her how he felt. As soon as Draco entered the Great hall however, all his plans disappeared. All he could see was green. There she was, beautiful as always, laughing hand in hand with freaking Zacharias Smith. Does he just not get the hint ?
Draco stormed towards them, and quietly said. “Hawthorne, can I talk to you ? In private ?” He emphasized the last part, glaring at Smith.
“No.” She said shortly.
“It's urgent.” He gritted out, glaring even harder at Smith.“I think.. I'll talk to you later, then. Bye.”
That rat blew a kiss her way as he left, and it took everything in Draco not to kill him right there. It irritated him even more that she smiled back and waved.
“What is it, Malfoy ? She asked, her voice annoyed.Draco took a deep breath and calmed himself, before pulling her away from the hall. She squeaked, but she followed him regardless, albeit reluctantly.
The second they were out, she snatched her hand away. “What the hall Malfoy ?”
“I like you.” Draco blurted out. “A lot. I'm sorry for being an ass, can you give me another chance ?”
<•••••••••••••••>
(Your pov)
I couldn't believe my ears. Or my luck. Despite wanting to say yes, I couldn't. Not when I knew Pansy liked him since way before me. There was also a very huge possibility that this was a prank.
I didn't know what to say. So I did what I did best. I bolted.
Soooo if you liked this check out my other work 😭 request are open but I will take pretty long because of finals. Anyway, I hope u liked this ! Thanks for reading 🫶🫶
p.s.
Should I make a part two ? Also if you've read till hear, let me know what you thought about this, I'm always open to constructive criticism. Thanks again 🫶🫶.

Chapter 9 : A Matter of Trust and Louboutins.
Word count: 1250
All eyes were on her, and her ridiculously loud phone. Marinette was panicking, hard.
Still, she managed to immediately turn off the alarm. She smiled slightly at them, saying it was just an alarm. She tried, God's she tried to ignore that gnawing ache in her heart, the way her throat was tightening.
They didn't seem to buy it — at least not completely, but she excused herself from the table, and made her way to the washroom. Which was apparently just down the hall, from what Selena had called out to her. Everything was going fine, why did it have to happen now ?
She locked herself in the bathroom, her brain filled with a hundred different screams. The bathroom was comparatively big, but still small enough to make Marinette feel as if the walls were collapsing inwards.
She caught her reflection in the huge mirror, and looked away immediately, as she backed up to the wall; not just out of fear, but out of shame. She slowly sunk to the ground, clutching her head, her back hitting the wall.
Tikki zoomed out of her purse. “Marinette, what..?” Tikki asked, confused.“I…I don't know what to do..” Marinette said, looking at Tikki with teary eyes. “There is an akuma attack, a level ten…”
“Well, you can use the rabbit miraculous, go back in time and decide not to come here today. Or you could use the horse miraculous, go to Paris, defeat the akuma, use the miraculous rabbit then, and come back just seconds after you leave !” Tikki said, reassuringly.
“Or… I could use all three Miraculouses, and prevent the akumatization altogether ! Sure I might have to use multiple Miraculouses, but it would still work..” Marinette muttered, mostly to herself.
“Marinette, that's not a good idea. Using too many miraculouses at once is dangerous. It takes a toll on your health and you know that…” Tikki said softly, concern filling her sweet voice.
But Marinette wasn't listening, she was too into her head for that. She was spiraling down and fast.
What if I'm not good enough? What if Hawkmoth wins ? What if I lose my miraculous ? What if —
“Marinette !” Her Aunt's voice. “Is everything okay ?”
No. Nothing was okay. She didn't reply. She couldn't. Couldn't breathe, couldn't focus, couldn't do anything. Wasn't she just pathetic? So useless—
Before Marinette knew it, strong hands wrapped around her, rubbing her back and whispering sweet nothings into her hair. “Breathe, kitty, Breathe.”
She tried. And for once, she didn't fail. She forced air in and out in a steady rhythm — matching her Aunt's. It took her about a few minutes to relax.
(Absent-mindedly, she notes that the door wasn't broken, so her aunt had probably picked the lock. A useful skill. Marinette should ask Selena to teach her that.)
When she pulls away from her aunt, she expects disgust, annoyance, disappointment. Hate even.
But what she saw knocked the air out of her. In her Aunt's eyes, there was only pure concern. Behind her Aunt, Tikki was floating, a similar expression on her face. A small thought plants itself into Marinette, a positive one, almost like a flower growing amidst weeds.
“Selena, how much do you trust me ?” Marinette asked cautiously.
The look on her aunt's face was enough for her.
“Blue carrots.” She says aloud, confidently.
Just then, a blue and white portal opens up where the mirror was, a sign that Marinette made the right decision.
Bunnyx steps out, a smile on her face. Just like that, the portal disappeared.
“I almost intervened, but I'm glad you came to a conclusion.”
Her Aunt reacted immediately. Standing up, she pushed Marinette behind her, and got into a defensive stance facing Bunnyx. She also managed to successfully block the door with her body.
“Get away, who are you ? How did you get in here ?” Her Aunt snapped. Alex looked slightly worried, and looked at Marinette, her eyes asking Marinette for help.
“Selena don't worry.. that's Bunnyx, a superhero from Paris.” Marinette placed a hand on Selena's shoulder.
“…what.” Her Aunt asked, alternatively looking at Bunnyx and Marinette. Selena seemed to be completely confused
“I… Paris had been under the attack of a superpowered villain for the last two years, and I was chosen to be the hero, ladybug, by using these magical earrings, called a Miraculous. And uh… many things happened. And.. long story short—”
“I think,” Selena interrupted, “I would like the long story.” She looked at Marinette expectantly, still shielding her from Bunnyx.
“And I will tell you. But now, we have more important matters at hand. Paris is being attacked by a very powerful villain, and I need your help.” Marinette said, slightly impatient.
Her Aunt looked at her, slightly shocked. She seemed to be on the edge, which was to be expected.
“My help ? How ? I mean I'm just a civilian…” Selena asked, her voice faltering slightly.
“I know, but all you will have to do is teleport me to Paris and back.” Marinette reassured her.
“I… Okay. I'm assuming you'll tell me how to do that ?” Despite everything her aunt was taking the news quite well. Marinette tapped her bracelet, and the portal opened. Her Aunt looked even more put off at the display of magic. Marinette suppressed a laugh at Selena’s skepticism.
“Selena Kyle, this is the Miraculous of the horse which grants the power of Migration. You'll use it for the greater good.” She offered the bracelet to Selena.“Once the mission is over, you'll return the Miraculous to me.... Can I trust you?”
“Yes, I accept. Now what do I do ?” Her aunt replied, inspecting the miraculous which seems to be peculiar sunglasses.
“Wear it and say – Kaalki, full gallop.” Her Aunt hesitantly wore the glasses, and Kaalki zoomed out.
“So we each get a mini flying elf ?” Selena asked, looking at Kaalki then at Tikki,” I'm assuming that's your magic elf ?”
That seemed to have offended Kaalki, “I'll have you know, I'm more than a mere flying elf—”
“Okay, okay that's enough Kaalki. We have bigger problems we need to face.” Marinette sud, slightly impatient, more than before.
“Fine. Well human, hurry up.” Kaalki snapped at her already bewildered Aunt.
“Uhhhh ok..?” Her Aunt replied, shaking her head. “Kaalki, full gallop.”
Bright light enveloped her aunt, and before her stood a new hero. Her suit was pitch black, except for her torso, which was beige. Her Aunt's hair, which was a bob before, was now in a high pony that came till her mid waist.
The sunglasses had become goggles, and her boots were.. not what Marinette expected. They seemed to be a modified version of Louboutins, but with a white sole, and a slightly thicker heel.
“Now that's what I call a fashionable, practical suit. I do love this magical makeover.” Her Aunt said, checking herself out in the mirror. Then, she turned to Marinette.”Let's get this party started. What do I do now ?"
Marinette grinned, and transformed herself. That's when she noticed that her suit had changed too. It wasn't major, but it certainly had more black now than before. She liked it.
After she told her aunt how to activate her powers, and explained her plan, she realised that things didn't seem as impossible or difficult as it seemed before. Not now that she doesn't have to do everything on her own anymore.
Maybe she did the right thing coming to Gotham.

Chapter 8: DINNER WITH THE WAYNE FAMILY
Word count: 1396
Marinette's second day in school was uneventful, when compared to her first day. Not that she was complaining, she liked the peace and quiet.
Surprisingly, Damian was missing from school that day, and Marinette felt an odd sense of…. Well it was something, but she couldn't identify just what it was. Regardless, her day went well.
For some weird reason, Marinette felt drawn to Cass. Maybe Cass had a high potential to be a miraculous holder - Marinette should look into that.
Unlike the previous day, Marinette got home well before it got dark, some time around half past 5. As soon as she got home, she started rummaging through her clothes in hopes of finding a suitable one for a dinner with billionaires !
Billionaires who were soon to be her Aunt’s family, and in extension her own.She eventually decided on a simple, yet elegant dress, her own creation.
It was a spaghetti strap dress, made of black silk, which fell just above her knees. Black lace was skilfully sewn onto the edge of the skirt, increasing its length, covering the scrapes on her knees.
She paired it with a bright red shawl, partially covering her shoulder and the neckline. She braided her hair, and slipped on a beautiful neckpiece, adorned with pearls.
A slight blush, a little eyeliner and red lip balm completed her look, and Marinette couldn't help but feel proud of herself. After clicking a picture and sending it to Chloe, she stepped out of her room.
Her aunt too had dressed up, her short hair curled.Marnitte felt rather happy when she realised the dress her aunt was wearing – a dark blue off the shoulder dress, which complimented her aunt's body, with a small slit in the skin tight skirt – was her own creation.
It was an MDC original – she had told her aunt immediately about one of her alter ego’s– and she knew that it was her aunt's way of supporting her.
“You look so stunning Selina !’ Marinette exclaimed. Her Aunt, who had been staring out their apartment window, looked at her, and her face spilt into a contagious smile, her eyes mischievous, “Why thank you, Kitten, you've certainly dressed up too. Got a certain boy in mind, maybe ?”
Marinette shot her aunt a scandalised look, “What ?”
“Oh nothing, don't mind me.” Her aunt winked at her, walking out of the apartment, “Come on, our ride’s waiting.”
<•••••••••••••••••••••••>
The Wayne Manor certainly lived up to its name. The architecture of the manor was really impressive, and Marinette was getting so many ideas just by looking at it.
As they neared the gate, Marinette subconsciously fiddled with her ring, a silver one with a black onyx set in it. Or at least, that's what it looked like to the world. It was in fact the most condensed form of the miracle box, disguised as a birthstone ring.
Ever since Bunnxy’s visit, Marinette had been on the edge. They still had no clue as to who Hawkmoth could be, and they were running out of time–
Slightly embarrassed, Marinette followed her aunt, and stood behind her as she rang the doorbell. Almost immediately, the door opened, and a man, who appeared to be in his sixties, greeted them.
“Welcome Madam Kyle, Miss Kyle, to The Wayne Manor.”He introduced himself as Alfred, the head butler. Marinette followed Selena and Alfred, who were exchanging small talk.
If the entrance was grand, the dining hall that Alfred had led them to was absolutely out of a fancy castle from a movie. The table was unusually long, capable of easily seating 20 something people.
The chairs were made with a dark mahogany wood, the same shade as the table, and were covered with plush red velvet. Three chandeliers decorated the room, the one in the centre bigger than the other two.
Bruce was standing facing the table, but he had turned to face them as soon as they entered.
“Selina, Marinette welcome !” He said, a wide smile on his face. He kissed her aunt, slightly embarrassing Marinette who looked away, cheeks red.
He then led both of them to their chairs. Bruce sat at the head of the table, seeing as he was the head of the family.
Selena sat down next to him, and Marinette sat next to her.
As if on cue, people — who Marinette assumed were the rest of the family members — trickled in, one after the other.First came a man, who seemed to be in his early twenties, with black wavy hair and blue eyes – similar to Bruce. He was followed by a woman with tan skin, reddish pink hair, and the most gorgeous bright green eyes.
They both sat down opposite to Marinette, leaving the seat right next to Bruce empty.
Just behind them were two boys. The first one, who seemed to be in his twenties too, had a bright white streak in his hair, turquoise eyes, and a strangely destructive aura around him. The one behind seemed to be of the same age, with bags beneath eyes.
They, too, sat on the other side of the table. Following them was a girl Marinette knew, as she had seen her at the academy before. She looked very much like Chloe, but with a more... approachable vibe.
Damian walked in soon after that, and made a beeline for the chair next to Bruce. Her heart sped up inexplicably, and she tried not to satet at him- and failed anyway. He took the chair next to Bruce opposite to Selena and by extension — her.
Green eyes met Blue ones.
He seemed to be startled at her existence, but Marinette ignored it. She smiled at him sweetly.
“Well, now that everyone's here, I believe introductions are in order.” Bruce said, looking around.
“Everyone, this is Marinette, my niece. She's been staying with me for the past two weeks, and will be staying here till the end of the term.” Selena said, smiling at Marinette.
“Hi everyone.” Marinette said, cringing slightly at how much she sounded like Lila.
“Hi Marinette, I'm Stephanie! It's so nice to meet you.” The pretty blonde girl said, a huge smile on her face. Her eyes shined with enthusiasm, just like her golden hair.
“Nice to meet you too Stephanie.” Marinette replied, matching Stephanie’s energy.
“Please, call me Steph." She said, before pointing to the boy opposite to her, “This is Tim, my boyfriend.”
“Hi Marinette.” The boy, Tim said. His eyes had dark circles and he looked quite like the dead, with his pale face. But the small, tired smile that adorned his face told a different story, the one of a fellow insomniac trying his best.
“Hi, Tim.” Marinette replied, as Stephanie- Steph continued the introduction.
“That's Jason” - “I can introduce myself ya know ?” - “and he's a bit on the dramatic side.” The boy with the white strip in his hair decided to interrupt her, with his very rich gotham accent.
“I'm not ? Anyway, Marinette, it's a pleasure to meet you. Fair warning, run while you can, I couldn't convince Selena but you can- ow !” Marinette winced, as Jason was whacked on the head by someone who Marinette assumed was the oldest Wayne brother.
“Don't mind him, he thinks he's funny. I'm Richard, but call me Dick.” The blue eyed man replied, smiling at Marinette, ignoring Jason's mumbles about abuse.
“Di-Dick ?” Marinette asked, confused.
“Tt, His name's Richard, but he likes to be called that.” For the first time in the dinner, Damian had spoken. Marinette stared at him surprised. He seemed determined to look everywhere but at her.
“I see..” Marinette trailed off.
“But really, do call me dick, it's fine.” Dick said. “Okay.” Marinette replied, and a tiny silence followed.
It was promptly broken by the woman with bright red hair.“Can I call you sunshine ?”
“Sunshine ?”
“Yeah, you're like a ball of sunshine.” The woman replied, laughing slightly.
“Yay, thank you. I am Kory, Dick’s girlfriend.” The woman said, smiling widely.
Just like that, the table slipped into casual conversation. All was well, till the akuma alert blared on Marinette's phone and her heart froze. It was a level ten akuma, the most dangerous one.
She had to leave. Fast.

p.s. i crossed 1k words and didn't even notice... i hope this happens all the time hehehe )
Truly, when they look at me, and let me touch their broken wires, and allow me to weld it back together again, I wonder if they would trust me so if they just knew about the state that my own wires are in — completely and utterly jumbled — in knots similar to the ones that the fates tied with each mistake I made. It is what made me who I — proudly — am today, and yet, I still flinch slightly when I meet my own gaze. For what is a guide who herself is lost ?
Au where nobody tells 10 year old Damian who Jason is. And the way they talk about him, Damian just assumes Jason is like a raccoon or something.
Damian: Grayson, why does Pennyworth leave food on the counter every night?
Dick, on his phone, not even paying attention: Oh, that's for Jason.
Damian: For 'Jason'?
Dick: Yeah. Sometimes he sneaks into the kitchen at night, so Alfred started leaving food out for him.
Damian, confused: I've never seen anyone here.
Dick: Well he doesn't always come. And last time, Bruce caught him crawling through the window and scared him away so, who knows when he'll show up again.
Damian, definitely thinking of a raccoon: So then Pennyworth is feeding a random stray that crawled out of God knows where?
Dick, annoyed: He's not a 'random stray', Damian, he's family, and he has been living in this house for way longer than you have.
Damian, trying to remember how long do raccoons live for:
Damian: I hope he doesn't die soon.
Dick: ????!!
*Later that night in the Bat-cave*
Tim, typing away in the computer:
Damian: Drake. Have you ever met Jason?
Tim: Uh. Stupid, annoying and looks like a skunk? Yes, why?
Damian, picturing a mix between a racoon and a skunk:
Damian: Is he friendly?
Tim: Well, the first time I met him, he attacked me, so...
Damian: Hmm... What did you do to provoke him?
Tim: What did I do to– Bitch–
Tim: Nothing! He just didn't like me taking 'what was his', or something.
Damian, nodding: You invaded his territory.
*The next day*
Damian: Father, when do you think Jason will visit again? I want to meet him.
Bruce: Um. I don't know, Damian. He doesn't come here often.
Damian: Why?
Bruce: Because he lives somewhere else.
Damian: Why doesn't he just live here with us instead? He would be safer.
Bruce, wincing: I don't think he would like that, Damian. He's not confortable here.
Damian: But, maybe if I befriend him I could convince him to stay.
Bruce, sighing: I don't thinks so, Damian. You have have to respect his wishes.
damian, in the middle of the night, standing in the kitchen doorway half asleep after exhausting patrol, sees a big figure in front of the open fridge, silently prepares for battle:
jason, in the middle of the night, hunched beside the open fridge in the manor's kitchen, locking eyes with tired deadly looking kid in pajamas: ...hi
jason, slowly moving his hands where the kid can see them, taking a second glass: ...want some orange juice?
damian, frowning: speak your name and intentions, intruder.
jason: ...i thought you, you know. knew already.
damian, frowning even more, now slightly confused: knew what?
jason, slightly ashamed: that i sometimes visit manor's kitchen at night because alfred's cooking is godsend and i don't have time for grocery shopping?
damian, going through ten stages of confusion, grief, disappointment and other emotions: you're jason?
jason, slightly indignant now, but still a little ashamed: yes? who else?
damian: i thought you were a raccoon! not some adult-wanna-be.
jason: first of all, what the fuck, second of all, how dare you.
bruce, walking in, haven't yet realised who is swearing and what is happening: language.
As a daughter of demeter, farming and anything related to growing were your favourite. You just loved the way flowers bloomed whenever you gave them just enough attention, the way the crops flourished with enough food for the entirety of Ithaca.
Speaking of Ithaca, as the sole demigoddess of agriculture in Ithaca, it was your solemn duty to ensure that there was a proper harvest every year.
That was never a problem for you, you had little to do but your duty. But this year, you found a friend, Prince Telemachus of Ithaca. He was a peculiar human. He would be sulking about his plight with the suitors, but the second you approached him, he forgot about it all. He would start following you around, instead of doing his royal duty.
You weren't sure if that was a good thing, after all one must never slack off. Regardless, you had indulged him. Letting him follow you around like an overgrown puppy seemed to have its own perks, as no one seemed to approach you when you worked.
Which was a good thing, you hated being disturbed.
And Telemachus knew that. Yet, why was he here, trying to distract you ?
“Come on Green, let's do something else.” He whined.
You ignored him, he was probably just bored. You also tried to ignore the effect that nickname had on you.
He'd leave in some time. Oh, how wrong you turned out to be. He ended up following you around for the better half of the next hour.
“Prince Telemachus, please I must make sure all the crops have been harvested efficiently ! Do bother someone else…” You said, as you were walking to the next field, pleased with the previous one.
You had assumed he'd leave seeing how boring it would be – for others, not you of course. But he'd waited till you were out of the field, to start pestering you again about coming with him to do something else.
“I'm sorry, am I bothering you..?” He asked, his pretty eyes shining, his plump lips forming a pout.
You'd hurt him, you realised belatedly. “ No, Prince Telemachus, you aren't bothering me. I simply…”
“Then why did you want me gone ? Why are you being so formal with me ?” You cringed slightly at his tone and at the lack of you're nickname which he used every other sentence.
You had really hurt him this time. But you didn't mean it, not one bit. You only wanted to finish your job after all.
“Tele, I just.. I just wanted to finish my work…” At his hurt face, you make a split second decision. With quick strides you go right next to him, and cup his cheeks. His eyes widen, and his cheeks grow warm.
“Tele, what about this ? We'll go down to the river beside the next fieldand I suppose it won't make much difference if I take a small break… and we could just… you know… sit there.. ?”
That was all it took for him to go back to his normal self “ Yes ! I mean.. yes, let's do that,” blushing, he offered me his hand. I take it. And if you blushed a little too, well no one really needed to know.
