It's his catchphrase.

Say my name

It's the pathetic attempt to sound commanding that makes him want to resist, makes him dig his heels in and say nothing. Or an embarrassing nicknames from their Acadamy days, some of their cohort had been cruel in their wordplay. As if he could be ordered around!

And he wants to anyway. Oh, he wants to. The simplicity, the ease. The delegation of autonomy. Just this once, this moment, not having to take charge of those he's taken responsibility for.

Every time Big Finish redesigns its website it becomes less user friendly—with the last time they tried it both breaking the site for a week and earning them backlash for their use of AI to (badly) write the site's text.

So seeing this notice makes my heart sink. But it's possible that they've learned something from their mistakes, because this update looks like mostly a reskin of their last website. We'll see.

Day 10 - What I love about this Doctor

Based on his appearance and what I'd heard of him previously, I always thought of 5 as "The nice one". And after 4, I was like no way is he gonna top that. But I was very pleasantly surprised. I think 5 is the most human of all the Doctors. He cares the most, makes mistakes, is humble, and in that way is different than really any of the other Doctors. He made a nice change from his two predecessors (3&4) who were basically action heroes and his successor who is an egotistical personification of a knight in shining armor. Peter Davison did a great job and really brought something new to the role. And he's great with all his companions, who also happen to be some of my favorites in the entire series. Plus, I like whenever The Doctor goes through The Horrors™ and 5 certainly does.

In my mind 3 and 12 look really similar in my style but I think it’s just the hair, same sort of style but 3’s got a big bouffant fringe and 12’s got it pushed back.

Finally listened to call me master: self help. I really really enjoyed it. Fresh post regeneration master getting trapped in a cave for 277 years, going to therapy, crying and keeping some people alive on a crashing ship. Banger.
