A rare hot take from me - If you have to algospeak about a topic like death or sex, or around words like blood or menstruation, you have no business making those topics a focal point of your practice. I don't really interact with occult or spiritual communities outside of Tumblr, but I've seen folks here and on other platforms say things like "s*x magic is the most powerful magic I've ever done" or "I've started doing bl00d magic."

So much of my practice centers around death, dying, and caring for the spirits of the dead. I can't imagine not using the actual words and instead using "d3ad" or "🎲-ing". If a topic is important, powerful, vast, etc. enough to be a central tenant of your spiritual or magical practice then it deserves to be spoken with the real words.

I don't care what platform you're on. Do not comply in advance.

I know I talked about my trans patroclus, but lowkey what about trans Achilles? Dude is known to have very feminine features and what if Patroclus gives him top surgery? OR what if Achilles had a pretty small chest but still noticable so he's been trying to get pecs. OR he still has a small chest but either no one notices, or they think his slightly tit-like chest is part of his feminine beauty or smth. This same generation believed a random giant horse wasnt a trap, they would probably believe Achilles's chest was part of his beauty

simon refusing to have his hair cut after being saved by ryland is actually so important to me.

like, maybe his hair was long because nobody would cut it for him and he had no way to do it himself.

personally i like to think his hair was the only way he had to express himself, who he is. his hair is the only thing that felt his, and the only thing that made him feel like himself.

hair holds so much importance, so many people express themselves and who they are through their hair.

besides, i think it reminds him of his mother. she had the exact same hair, maybe a bit longer, and he lets them grow hoping that it would make him remember her face more clearly.

so anyways i’m a huge truther of simon not only refusing to cut his hair but letting them grow even more. it just feels right.
