What if I imagined Red Hood era Jason Todd singing Protoman's lines from The Stand (Man or Machine) and gave myself emotions? What if I did that?
I love my job, but reblogging employment jelly for someone else I love.
Ultimate Batman by FitMarshmellow
The main premise here is that this is a Bruce who never had an Alfred or some kind of guiding mentor after his parents' death. He was simply an angry soul in a tortured city. With no one to ground him in reality, it made the Batman persona not exactly darker than normal, but rather...
More pragmatic.
Bruce has no real notions of idealism. He has no strict moral code, he just has his mission: eradicate crime in Gotham City. He's not a murderer, but he isn't opposed to self-defense (as far as he knows). He isn't necessarily opposed to gun, yet he finds himself unable to use them. He is a pulp adventurer in a noir city that always seems to be in shades of gray.
That is until he meets a rough street-kid who dared to take the wheels of his car--Jason Todd. This is the story of two wounded children in a city that took everything away from them, learning to overcome their trauma and become more than their darkest fears. The concept is that we start in a Miller-Like Gotham: Dark, gritty, noir, but with Jason and Bruce working together, healing each other, you see Batman and Robin and Gotham go in a different direction.
Their mission going from "Eradicating Crime" to "Making Gotham the greatest city in the world."So, while we start off with a pragmatic Batman and a darker Robin, over time, they become their archetypical selves--their greatest selves, as Gotham goes from grayscale to popping with color.
We see a Jason shaped by his life on the streets, without parentage, without mentorship, who would like for nothing but to show the world that they don't matter as much as they made him feel like he doesn't matter.
He's angry, violent, he's... exactly like Bruce.
And Bruce sees that. And for the first time in his life since his parents' murder, Bruce takes the leap and lets a person into his heart. Jason is a problem child, of course. He quickly takes advantage of Bruce's extended absences in the night to sneak off and take on the 2-Gang much to Bruce's chagrin. Once Jason finds out he's Batman, he demands to be taken with him, to be trained. Bruce is extremely reluctant, but between him sneaking out while he can't be around and him being alongside him where he can keep watch...
Bruce makes a risky decision. And that's how The Dynamic Duo is born. Jason's suit in this universe is actually a gift from Kal. It is made of impenetrable Kryptonian fabric in order to give him a layer of protection while out in the field.
On a greater meta-textual level, this story is about childhood naiveté and how it's necessary to the superhero genre. This Batman does not become the Batman we know until he gets a child's perspective. Until he finally reopens the door to the grieving child in his heart and finally lets him free. He goes from a man hell-bent on punishing the evils of the world to a man dreaming of a better one and making it happen.
All because one day, in an alley, he saw a lost boy...And wasn't afraid to show him that he was loved.
So broad strokes: We gradually go from Frank Miller Batman to Adam West Batman in one story!
Now on the design front, Batman is wearing a relatively classic costume paired with a Dracula collar for extra flair.Jason's Robin costume is a mix of his debut suit with Robin OYL and Red Robin, to give him a pop color feel, while keeping him in line with the pulp noir feel.
And yes, Jason is the first (and hopefully only) Robin Bruce will have. In a way, we'll get to see how he would've turned out if he wasn't in Dick's shadow and wasn't taken from the world too soon.
A Jason that could actually heal from his rough upbringing.

I don’t play that shit lol sorry
You know, i’m curious to see if this brings me some good news y'know
Miles “Who’s Morales?” Morales
I want a comic where Peter does this. Maybe a tumblr comic, maybe a full, official MARVEL stamped product. This one, fresh, 15 year old Spider Man has just had a such a shit time recently - day, week, conspiracy case - and it all boils over in an almost basic fight; Doc Ock in a giant robot or some garbage. Peter’s getting thrown around, bloody, torn outfit, just a barely holding his strength back to avoid breaking the rule -
Then the villain brings up the parents. Mocking him, mocking them, mocking them for raising such a garbage child-
Then the robot just starts getting broken. Peter’s pissed, the first big freak out of his hero career, he breaks the weapon, then goes ape all over the thing the villain is hiding in, screaming, and leading up to the “I DON’T HAVE PARENTS!!!” Line. With a quick breath Peter knocks the guy out, just barely, and is just standing there, breath shaky, fists quaking, a mad look in his eye, and finally, he is able to leave. He knows something is going to break - his rule, specifically- if he stays, so he books it, goes home, takes the costume off, and goes to sleep.
He’s so damn tired and unwilling to deal with the news, he has no idea what’s on it. He has no idea the end of that fight was filmed, his whole rant for the world to see, and with that few moments of just reigning himself in, there is also the first clear footage of who Spider-Man is. More accurately, people see he looks far more like a Spider-Boy.
This actually changes just about everyone - even Jameson’s - opinion on him. He goes from this shadowy criminal vigilante, going after gangs and villains with no concern what innocents get hurt, to a BOY.
A boy in way over his head because ‘bug powers do not a man make’ and ‘oh god, he must not know what laws are, that’s why he’s in that costume, doing this’. With that line, people realize this isn’t some mutant or hardened criminal - its a human being - a child - with hopes and dreams, taking on all the psychos that pop up and taking all the hits from them that he does, and he’s doing it because ‘no one taught him he shouldn’t - he didn’t have anyone to teach him!’. Its a massive spiral of people only making up more heartbreaking theories of Spider-Mans home life, showing that pack instinct to people they have something to bond over, and Spider-Man is a sad orphan boy getting into fights with some of the most deranged and vicious people ever. That’s something to bond over. It’s one thing to dig at a possibly deranged man who could likely be another of the fursuit wearing super villains, fighting them for his part of the criminal underworld, but it’s another when it’s such a young kid, probably with no one having ever tought him what children should know, and probably hasn’t been fed, cause for all that strength, he’s thin as a twig, and getting pieces stripped off him in his worst fights doesn’t help.
And Peter has NO idea this is going on, because he’s fresh into the career, already sick of hearing Jameson rag on him to his face, and after Jameson got the other media on his side, he basically stopped listening to all that he could avoid.
So it’s a shock when he heals and takes to the streets again, hearing the people call out encouragements and ‘Be Careful!’, which is a long ways off from what he had before. It’s just as shocking - and a little bit mortifying - when even the freaking criminals start treating him with kid gloves. He’s a little - a lot - taken off guard, but is able to power through it when the less nice gang boss shows up and makes things violent.
It’s not until he’s done for the day, he gets home to Aunt May being sweeter than normal - it’s hard to notice since it’s AUNT MAY, she’s always the sweetest - but he does notice, so he ask why?
Then she brings up how sad she was over “That Poor, Hurt Spider-Boy. Have you watched the news lately? Apparently, he’s an Orphan like you are, he doesn’t have someone to return to, but every day he goes out and gets into fights with all these vicious criminals, getting so hurt, but he patches himself up and goes out to do it again. He’s not getting anything out of it, but he keeps doing it! Ah, such a poor child out there, no home or family, and out doing such violent things to help because he doesn’t know any better! Oh, the poor dear!”
And Peter’s brain just breaks.
I’m calling this the Pitiful Spider-Man universe, because everyone pities him, despite the fact he is a good Peter Parker spider man.
Good gods I lOVE THIS
Miles “Who’s Morales?” Morales
But now imagining it!
Jeff trying to step in as a surrogate Dad.
Slipping him gift cards for walmart and making sure he has warm socks.
Trying to see if spiderman checks into any of the local homeless shelters.
Insisting he take time to grab a bite to eat, because “You’re too thin, humor an old man, would you?”
Wondering if thats Spidey’s first good meal in a while.
Looking at Miles over the dinner table, kid is growing like a weed, but he can’t imagine not being there for him, “Miles, take a second helping, you’re a growing boy.”
Just…. Wow…
They are so each other coded
Wow, it took a lot less time than I thought for Daredevil to convert one of his mutant brothers
bruce having a meltdown after touching an unsafe surface while getting a full nights rest after getting the shit kicked out of him on the daily is so real
Killer Croc knows his weakness, but knows better than to take advantage of a person’s disability
Thank you to everyone who got me to 500 likes!
What's your favorite deranged Tim Drake moment?
inventing a fake uncle so he wasn't adopted by the guy he wanted to adopt him
sneaking back into Gotham after the bridges were blown during No Man's Land
thinking he got his girlfriend pregnant by kissing her
trying to clone his dead best friend 99 times because he missed him
joining a terrorist organization to prove that his dad wasn't dead
voluntarily becoming Bruce's emotional support child as a 13-year-old
saving the universe by playing baseball with his friends
threatening to kill himself to his older evil self's face
using his own last name as a vigilante name
threatening to beat Jason to death with a crowbar while wearing the Batsuit
Honorable mentions that didn't make it onto this poll:
faking an assassination attempt and a debilitating injury for a year because a reporter figured out his secret ID
ignoring Dick's blindingly obvious petty jealousy to continue fangirling over Blue Beetle
purposefully getting high so he stood a chance fighting Lady Shiva
smuggling a spare Batmobile to Titans Tower in San Francisco via the batarang budget
Finally, someone recognizes No Man's Land!
Kamen Rider Geats: NEON TV Special Stream ft. Ace Ukiyo and Friends
Neon gets a new 4-player co-op game and since her only friends are in the DGP, she asks them all if they want to have a game session that night. Ace agrees and even buys 3 more copies for them to play. Keiwa is all too happy to hang out with his bestest friends/crushes and Michinaga only obliges to their request because a. Keiwa asked nicely, and b. he doesn’t have anything else to do later tonight.
So the night comes and Neon starts her stream, Ace, Keiwa, and Michinaga soon show up on voice chat and what follows is not only Neon’s most popular stream but the most fun each of them had in a while since the DGP entered their lives. Here are a few highlights.
-Keiwa is the most naive and the 2nd worst at this game, with Michinaga being the worst since his only objective is “Beat the shit out of it up and close” with no goal (”Azuma-san, that character isn’t suited for close range combat!”)
-Michinaga: Okay you guys I have to leave after this round, I have work tomorrow (Stays up all night playing instead with the others)
-Michinaga getting incredibly salty when ace gets the top score every round
-Neon and Neon both crushing on Keiwa, and him being oblivious (Michinaga is more discreet about it)
-Tsumuri telling Ace to go to the dinner table only to be hit with thirst comments (Chat: Dayum, Ace’s sister is hot)
-Sara watches the stream and barges into Keiwa’s room when she recognizes his voice, also followed by thirst tweets (Chat: Dayum, Keiwa’s sister is hot)
-the possible homoerotic rivalry of Ace and Michinaga that will inspire many fanfics (too real?)
-Chat asks how they all met, and everybody improvises the most implausible meet-up, involving a karaoke room, ninja stars lodged in the buttocks, somebody pulling a gun, and a homeless man who pretended he was a zombie, which chat surprisingly buys
-Ace showing off and pulling a haka victory dance after winning another round, which then turned into an Ace vs Neon dance-off.
Yeah I came up with this at 12 am
Columbo’s wife is neurodivergent and will frequently jump to new hyperfixations. Columbo is an absolute wife guy who is always interested in hearing her infodump about her newest hyperfixation.
This is the plot to Kamen Rider W
