Okay I started this post in tags but then realized I had to continue in an actual post because I found out something fascinating and you all have to know. However. You're going to have to deal with my tags at first because I'm not rephrasing this for normal language. ENJOY.

I actually…. what's going on PHYSICALLY that makes them blue?, as primates - and as far as I know MAMMALS IN GENERAL, we have melanin (which makes fur/hair/skin dark), and eumelanin (which makes fur/hair/skin red), there are also dilution genes which can make those colors look… gray, sometimes even blue-ish, but that color of blue is just…., what ACTUAL PIGMENT is created in your body that makes that happen,

Uhh.... no information on what pigment on the skin/fur is causing the color, but it isn't about the melanin content in the skin. More dominant individuals have more fluid between their testicles and skin, which causes the blue color, and as individuals become less dominant... there is less fluid in there... and so their balls get less blue.

Still not a good answer for why their balls are blue when most mammals could have the most dehydrated balls possible and they wouldn't be that color. You can actually see how the thigh veins in the above dominant male's leg (third picture) have blue on them. but.... fascinating.
