Iâm taking Mesoamerican Archaeology this semester, which means year 2 of spending hours in bed reading about Huitzilopochtli. Whatâs great is that if I mess up as bad or worse than I did last time, no one will be around to tell me. Nowhere to go but up.
Searched for the poem ĐблаĐșĐŸ ĐČ ŃŃĐ°ĐœĐ°Ń (A Cloud in Trousers) on YouTube, found a short from a pun channel, now I bless/curse you all with a mental image of Mayakovsky in his âthunderwearâ
Thereâs a weighted curio in HSRâs divergent universe called âconverse of entropyâ
it buffs wind and lightning
thatâs cool
but it sure wouldâve been funnier if it buffed imaginary and nihility
or actually made imprisonment do something with murmur
sorry, I just like playable Welt and think it would be funny if he, on very rare occasions, kind of did a bit of damage, ok?
like, just as a gimmick
I have the autism where I don't feel like a proper Media Consuming Nerd (weeb, gamer, fan of a particular genre of music, etc.) because the kind of people who are as obsessed as I am tend to have a 10 page list of favorite shows/games/bands and somehow keep track of all of their lore, releases, and fanworks. Like maybe not as much as I do with a current hyperfixation, but it feels like it's almost as much. Then there's me with The Thing I Love Now, The Thing I Still Like, a couple things I used to be into, and a few things I'm nostalgic for but can't remember anything about. How do these people obsess over so many things?
Itâs always odd when an app tries to redirect you to itself. Like when the Microsoft authenticator app wants you to authenticate by going into the Microsoft authenticator app (and then realizes what itâs doing and just gives you a popup), or when an app takes you to a mobile webpage that takes you back to the app. In most cases itâs probably a side effect of having cross-platform content, but I like to pretend the app is having some kind of identity crisis.
A restaurant named You're Not Supposed To Be Here, where the whole point is that the vibes are unnerving. The lighting is weird, the whole place has a faint scent that's not a bad smell, but it's certainly not food smell and you can't quite identify what the hell it is. The music is weirdly janky and you can't quite tell what's wrong with it, the vocals aren't exactly garbled but sung in a language you swear you've never heard anywhere and couldn't name if you tried. Only hiring staff who have anxiety and they're 100% permitted to show how much your presence here stresses them out.
Other than the name, this just seems like culture shock. The lighting is weird because they bought the bulbs at a store you never knew existed. The smell is some cleaning product, perfume, or spice you've just never smelled before. The music is just foreign music in a genre you've never even heard of, and there are a few thousand languages on this planet, so it's no wonder you've never heard this one. The employees are all stressed because everyone is stressed right now... or maybe they have different traditions around hospitality? Regardless, all this is pointing to their food being amazing (and even if it isn't, you have a great story).
I find it hilarious when someone in the comments of an old revolutionary/protest song is like "beautiful song, we need to return to the good old days with traditional culture and values." They completely ignore the lyrics and historical context because they can't believe that some of their ancestors might actually have been pretty progressive in certain ways.
whenever I finish a book (without a movie adaptation or with unpopular movie adaptations) for school I look it up on ao3 and get disappointed
but I also lack the executive function and time to write a fic, especially after having to write an essay
with all the writing students have to do, at least some of it should contribute to the enjoyment of literature among future students

Ok no but seriously the Montreal Marxist Winter School was amazing. Go next year. Do it. https://marxist.ca/school
Join us for the largest Marxist event in Quebec and Canada!
If you are in/can make it to Montreal on February 17-18, consider registering for this year's Marxist Winter School! 100 years have passed since the death of Lenin, but he lives on in his writings and, to the best of our ability, in all of our work today. This is why the theme this year is "In Defence of Lenin." Hyped to meet new comrades and consider/discuss the revolutionary ideas and historical lessons of Lenin! See you there <3

Not only is today *twosday* (Tuesday, 02/22/2022), it's also my birthday. If only I was turning 22.
