Tumblr Staff, after making a half hearted apology for mass banning trans women, has just today mass banned trans women a second time
I don't have exact numbers yet, but at least twenty users were terminated at the same exact time, recieving an "internally generated report" refusing to declare reason for the ban. I quote, "Upon review of your account we have determined that it does not align with our terms of service". No reason given, this was clearly a deliberate action by staff as they themselves claim
Tumblr staff is currently mass banning trans women again. Make them know this is unnaceptable
A god is rarely born with all the domains they are meant to wield known to them.
Some are discovered.
Artemis finds her dominion over childbirth as she desperately tries to help her poor mother birth her brother, the instincts that guided her hands as she worked were unexpected but a boon all the same.
Persephone has long known that she was meant to be more than just a minor goddess of spring, but it wasn't until she felt the crown of jewelled roses be placed gently atop her head that she realised what was missing. She was always fated to rule the underworld after all.
Persedea discovers her dominion over Ichor on a thankfully moonless night as she roughhoused with her husband whilst their beloved watch on in laughter.
Aphrodite had jokingly cheered them on, switching from championing one to the other as the night progressed.
Neither remembers what argument they were jokingly trying to win, every other thought from that night forgotten in the wake of her accidental actions.
Persedea had felt something reach for her and reached back for what she thought was a source of water. It hasn't been until Ares had spasmed under the onslaught of her power that any of them had realised.
None of the other gods had cared when she proclaimed herself goddess of blood, what did it matter that she could control and manipulate the life blood of mortals? But Ichor?! There were few gods who would not faulter in the face of a being who could twist their physical form to it's whims and Zeus... his reaction would not be pretty.
The trio swore an oath bound not to the Styx but Persedea herself to tell no one, each knowing that the ability would only bring judgement and fear upon the young goddess,
Persedea had to handle enough of that as it was.
Some are gifted.
Zeus granting his son godhood and dominion over the very heroes he once was a part of. Herakles was never meant to be a god, but he was Zeus favourite and the king would do anything to see him remain by his side for all eternity. If only that attention wasn't so fleeting...
Poseidon gifts dominion over Riptide's and Tranquil Waters to his daughter.
They are an apology and an olive branch wrapped in one and delivered by the messenger of the Sea during one of his many visits to his sister's temple on Olympus.
Had she lived long enough to be gifted godhood like her father and grandfather intended, they would have been Pallas domains. It is Triton whom suggests that they should be granted to his daughter's mirror. The sea calls her the second coming of it's lost pearl and regardless of whether she is Pallas reborn or just hauntingly like her Triton believes that it is only right that his granddaughter sister is granted them now.
Not to be outdone Athena went to her father for approval before granting her daughter shared dominion over Stratgy and sole dominion over Curiousity. Her daughter may be of the sea but her birth clothed in armour made it undeniable that she was her mothers daughter and the Goddess intended to make sure that none could forget that truth.
Some are bargained for.
Curiosity and Wisdom walked hand in hand.
Curiosity drove one forward and we gained wisdom from the adventures and lessons it leads you to.
Dionysus was nothing if not determined when he bargained first for Ariadne's release from the Underworld and later her ascension to godhood as his wife. The domains he managed to obtain for her would only grant her the status of a minor god but that mattered little to either of the once mortals. The god of wine was especially relieved though not surprised when it all worked out, bargaining was just a form of verbal warfare and he had learned it from the best.
Despite how much she made the god king work for her agreement, there was no world where Persedea would not agree to protect and care for Zeus demigod son.
The child was just an innocent after all.
That said though, she was going to take whatever she could from the Thunderer as payment for her agreement.
If asked Persedea would deny taking any kind of joy from watching her king plead for her help and only Apollo and her lovers would be able to tell she was lying, though Zeus would no doubt suspect it.
Zeus had appeared close to striking her down when he heard her demands but he had been in no position to reject her bargain. Besides, dominion over Demigods and the concept of Sanctuary or Safe Harbour were hardly that great a demand when weighed against facing Hera's wrath for the next few centuries.
Some are stolen.
Apollo ending the half mad Python and adding the Oracles that the snake once jealously guarded to his dominion as he claimed prophecy in all its forms for himself.
Demeter's scythe cutting into the man that ShouldHaveCouldHaveWouldNever be her father and feelings his control over Harvest flee his greedy, grasping hands and settle deep within her.
No one knows quite how Persedea ended up falling into Tartarus. She cannot prove it but she knows that it was the God King who had pushed her in one of his ever worsening fits of paranoia.
Dominions and powers carved from the chest of gods and monsters alike, from half mad creatures forgotten by time and myth...
What is known is that when she finally escaped the realm and found her way into her Uncles realm above, she had collected a rather eclectic range of new domains.
Poison was one; Protector of the Broken and Wild another, Feral Creatures and Beasties... No longer merely the Enforcer of Oaths but also the Punisher of Oathbreakers; Time....
Persedea became responsible for guiding the souls who have no one left to give them burial rights and send them on to the Underworld. Many a soldier and a sailor prayed to her before difficult battles or deadly storms knowing that it was only her mercy that would see them lead to the realm of the dead rather than being left to wand the earth for eternity.
She would steal one final dominion on her way out of the Underworld.
Though, for all his bluster on the matter, neither Hades nor his wife seemed particularly upset at the deadly goddess claiming the title of psychopomp.
Some are earned.
Asclepius is such a curious child and so kind, he truly encapsulates all of his father's best qualities. Is it truly that surprising that such a brilliant young man managed to surpass even his father in the art of healing, leave his mark on history and earn immortality?
Dionysus is a bright boy, a kind boy, a powerful boy. Even as a babe he vibrates with near infinite possibly. But that's all it is, possibility. Without the child's hard work and determination the opportunity that sung in his ichor blood would never have flourished into divinity. Ascension was thought impossible before him
The wars of the last few years have been particularly vicious and as Persedea watches her husband buckle under the weight of it all thanks to a particularly horrible war hungry ruler she decrees no more.
Persedea does not set out to earn the domain of Rebellion, her actions driven solely by her desire to ease her husbands burdens and the mortals suffering. Ares may be the god of war but even he grows tired of bloodshed for bloodshed sake.
He may encapsulate war in all its forms, but that does not mean he has no preferences. Better a war driven by honour than one driven by bloodlust.
The only answer is that the king must go.
The people wish it would stop, her husband wishes it to stop, even the soldiers once hungry for battle and glory wish it to stop.
However the power mad king will not allow it.
The rebellion she incites among his generals and soldiers as she strips them of their Loyalty and shattered their Oaths of allegiance she reminds the men that these oaths go both ways and that their kings betrayal and dereliction of duty free them of their duty to him is the largest Greece has ever seen and sends shockwaves through the realms of man and immortal.
Ares grips her in gratitude as Aphrodite twirls her, but there is fear lurking in their eyes for what this new domain will bring her way.
Her mother frets but does not speak her worries for fear of giving them weight.
Triton and her Sea family are the only ones that do not fear for her. Atlantis is far from the politics of Olympus and cannot grasp why such a domain might incur anothers wrath. All Sea gods are rebellious in some way after all.
But Persedea is not merely of the sea and though she holds no dominion over Wisdom or Knowledge she is still Athena's daughter and she understands why her mother trembles.
She understands why even Hera has begun to look upon her good daughter with concern.
Day by day Zeus' gaze upon her back grows heavier.
The king is paranoid.
His dislike of his trueborn son is an insidious thing and the idea of War and Rebellion being bound in matrimony feeds that hate and turns it into something dangerous.
They are a threat in his eyes and Persedea can only hope that they are ready for it when he acts to crush them.
Okay, I was reading The Sea is Wine Red by gotham_girl, and I love it, but I have an idea for an AU of an AU. Percabeth pregnant when they time-travel. HERE ME OUT.
First, if Percy and Annabeth don't already know, Poseidon is either going to try to hide it from Percy because this woman totally baby-trapped him, or be like hey your gf is pregnant... why are you trying to escape? And in Annabeth's case, she has no idea until her mom shows up YOU CAN'T CHALLENGE AGAMEMNON YOU'RE PREGNANT while Odysseus and Diomedes are just standing there likeđ§ (but also they are 120% against a pregnant daughter of their goddess going out to the battlefield. They will be so overprotective). Annabeth is... â _ àč dumbfounded. This starts a vicious custody war. Between Poseidon and Athena, of course. Percy and Annabeth are 100% in favor of reuniting. There are bets on Olympus whether this baby is a boy or a girl. Apollo has to deal with Percy chasing after him, begging him to answer pregnancy questions, and frantic prayers to Artemis to assist Annabeth. Ares has not seen Percy dedicated until this kid. Percy is focused. He is terrified and so scared, but he will protect his kid. He plans like it's war. He's begging for protection for this kid. He will do anything, and yet it's tragic, because he's terrified. He's waking up asking for Apollo to check if Annabeth's okay, because he can't. Annabeth is also scared. Annabeth feels abandoned and hates the gods (just a bit). She's planning, planning, planning. She's dealing with the jeers of the Greek army because she's not married. She wants Percy and knows he wants her. She is so scared for her child.
And then the kid is born. I imagine Poseidon relents and brings Percy to the Greek camp. Everyone is wary of him, Achilles is seething, the greek kings are shutting up fast. And then this warrior, the only person who can match your best soldier, the man escorted by a god, a demigod, sees Annabeth and his child and runs to them, falling to his knees before them. He's sobbing, she's sobbing. They're hugging and cradling their child to their chest while they tell each other they love each other in English. The greek kings see the woman they looked down upon, and then see the warrior they all fear looking up at her like he's worshipping her. They're talking about names. If it's a daughter, I can see Sally, or Adraine (happy ending), or even Penelope thrown around. They are fully in their own head. The gods are around them, the greek kings are around them, and they are just staring down at their child in awe.
They are forced to coparent. Poseidon really doesn't want to, but he gets the sense this is one area his son will kill for. Everyone has to deal with some of the most powerful people on their side trade a kid, and are more loyal to each other than their sides. Already, stories/songs are spreading of their tragic love. They will be the star-crossed Romeo and Juliet in the Iliad. They will dominate Tumblr in 4000 years. Every month, Percy feeds his baby goat milk and misses Annabeth. And he would be so attractive as a father. He will do all the changes, all the night feedings himself, because he only trusts Annabeth with his kid. He's raising the standards of Trojan women. And Annabeth's going to war meetings with spit-up in her hair and a baby on her chest, but don't you dare laugh or else she and the baby will both stare and make you feel insignificant. She knows all about their stories and their history. If they make one remark towards her child, she will use that. Secretly, they had doubts she was really a child of Athena. Those doubts are gone. She is tired, scared, alone, and a mother. She WILL stab.
Like, imagine the Greek camp is attacked, and Annabeth runs to the water and drowns her newborn. Just holds them underwater while Odysseus and Diomedes are screaming, but she's saying go to Daddy, go to Daddy, and the river carries a baby who just wants his dad to Percy, who takes the baby out of the water and starts screaming for Annabeth. Or the two of them fighting on opposite sides until a monster attacks, and they both think about their child. You haven't seen them fight until they want to protect their child. They are monsters. Suddenly, they are fighting together like they have been for years. Annabeth is the eye of a hurricane and moving through the rain/water like she's done it before. Percy is the hurricane. God help them if one of the sides wants to keep the child. They will hold their child with corpses around them, laughing and crying and kissing their child and each other, while the rest of the war stands still, every soldier realizing that a war between mortals and a war between gods are very different things, and that that baby is off limits. It is the only thing that Troy and Greece can agree on.
So I had an idea for an unusual twist on the godly reincarnation idea. So in my opinion, Aphrodite's portrayal in PJO is rather mixed. Sure, it has some really interesting elements. However, aspects of it are quite disappointing. Especially how's she only shown as the goddess of love. There's no sign of her warlike aspects.
Which has given me an idea. What if Aphrodite has been neglecting her Areia aspect? What if this got to the point whare it chose to sever itself from her as a survival mechanism? Except, Aphrodite herself doesn't realize that's what happened. From her perspective, she simply lost that domain due to neglect.
Meanwhile, the essence of her Areia aspect falls from Olympus. Far too weak to sustain itself, it soon latches onto the first person it finds: Sally Jackson. Nine months later, she gives birth to a daughter: Cypris Aria Jackson. (I got the idea for the name Cypris from one of Aphrodite's epithets. Thought it was rather fitting. lol)
Aka: Fem!Percy is the reincarnation of Aphrodite Areia and has spent the last twelve years evolving into her own person. Dionysus is the first to figure this out and has no idea how to handle it.
oooooh
you have such amazing ideas I love it!
(not to be weird but itâs ideas like this that make me wish I could crawl inside your mind and hang out sometimes)
Dionysus stares at Aphrodite Areia/Cypris Aria Jackson and dearly wishes for a drink. This is the weirdest version of the Greek-Roman schism (and heâs not sure if thatâs what it is) he has ever seen. However, itâs not his problem.
Aphrodite can deal with this rogue aspect of hers that is running around pretending to be a demigod. Probably to spend time with her children (still itâs a weird way to go about it but Dionysus wonât judge her for it).
Dionysus isnât getting paid to deal with this.
Aeria gets upset and offended when her children are treated as afterthoughts who canât fight (even if she doesnât know theyâre hers). She may have went a little overboard inspiring Cabin 10 to take part in Capture the Flag as the children of Aphrodite found something inside them waking up and the desire to fight took over them and they actually won the game instead of the Ares, Athena or Hermes cabins.
having Aphrodite Aeria fighting Ares on the beach is going to be very interesting, and he would absolutely have picked up on the fact that part of Aphrodite he hasnât seen in far too long is standing in front of him, even with Kronos manipulating him (he probably thinks itâs just a new game sheâs playing) and plays along. (He would probably go with them to the water park make sure this part of Aphrodite who seems to think she is mortal doesnât set off any traps)
The fight on the beach essentially counts as foreplay in Aresâs mind, heâs thrilled when she lands a hit on him, encouraging her to do it again. Hopefully Cypris remembers who she is or this could get really weird and potentially embarressing or make Poseidon or someone try to kill him.
Cypris going to Olympus is going to be a disaster once Zeus finds out what is going on.
(So I read @j-a-n-e--d-o-e's comment and it's given me ideas.)
Dionysus observes Cypris for the week leading up to the quest. Despite wanting nothing to do with this, he does it anyway. Something about this was... off. Aphrodite has never been affected by the Greek-Roman schism. So, it was very strange for her to suddenly have a schism. Plus, Areia was a little too convincing with her demigod act.
Things change when Poseidon successfully claims her. For that's when Dionysus realized it wasn't an act. Aphrodite's rogue aspect was mortal. Not just mortal, she was a demigod, a daughter of Poseidon. One who deeply loved her mother, Sally. Suddenly, this felt more like his own situation with Zagreus.
Once again, Dionysus wished for a drink. This was going to be a mess.
After decades of no one taking Cabin 10 seriously, Camp Half-Blood received a nasty wake-up call. They had forgotten there was a reason the Spartans worshiped Aphrodite as a war goddess. And the children of Aphrodite had given them a harsh reminder of it. Of course, this did lead to some side effects. Quite a few children of Ares developed a crush on the Aphrodite kids after having their asses kicked. Among them was Clarisse, who had a bisexual awakening in the form of her friend Silena.
It took Ares longer than he liked to realize Areia was mortal. A mortal who was only twelve years old. A mortal girl who had no idea she was Aphrodite's missing Areia aspect. A mortal girl who's grown into her own person. When he realizes his, Ares promptly banishes all the thoughts he's been having.
At this point, he is too busy fighting Kronos' influence, which he's finally become aware of. Which is trying to goad him into killing Cypris. He is unable to give her the truth that she deserves to hear. So instead, he warns her to bring Grover and Annabeth with her to Olympus, for she will need their support. Then he leaves to find Apollo.
Oh, things are a complete disaster when Cypris goes to Olympus. She, along with Zeus and Poseidon, discovers she is Aphrodite Aeria. It soon leads to a full council meeting. One that even Hades and Hestia are told to attend.
Cypris, however, freaks out when Zeus proposes forcing her back into Aphrodite. Even if she didn't completely disappear, her individuality would be gone. A fact that terrifies her.
This, of course, sends the meeting into chaos. For now, the gods of Olympus had an unprecedented ethical dilemma. An aspect of a god that had separated from the whole and grown into her own person. One that didn't want to rejoin the rest of herself. To give up her own individuality.
(Anyone else getting Tuvix vibes from this? This kinda feels similar, but with the opposite problem. lol)
Just had an idea! What if Cypris' individuality had some unexpected effects? Hephestus is a decent guy overall, yet Aphrodite never gave him a fair chance. Perhaps she feels an odd guilt for how the Goddess of Love treated him. So when she learns the truth, she does something that Aphrodite never did: she apologizes to Hephestus.
This could create a lot of conflict between her and Aphrodite. It could even make Cypris more reluctant to rejoin with her. Plus, you would have Hephestus being intrigued by Cypris. (Is it obvious that I feel bad for the guy? XD)
Also, I've got to imagine that Grover and Annabeth are freaking out when they learn their friend is a "rogue" aspect of Aphrodite.
How's the ecosystem with the apollo cabin at the camp, before, during and After the diacovery of how perce dies and why?
Do they hate their father? Asclepious?
Do they get ocstrazise?
Was apollo soooo Son of a B**ch (zeus) that everytime he has a kid he mold their appeareance into a combination of him and perse? To think of a what if?
Does dionysus hates them, for this? Does he pity them?
Did asclepious tries to gaslight them?
Everytime apollo goes to say hello to his kids at camp or Dreams gets ignore? If yes then....................... WELL DONE YOU DESERVE THAT BITCH!!
Do they wish to be claimed by another god instead of the piece of shit of father they have?
I'm going to answer these together if that's alright as they're basically the same.
First off Apollo's kids:
Some people tried to take their anger out on Apollo's kids in the direct aftermath but once Dionysus was bound to Camp Elpis he put a stop to that shit pretty quickly.
It would be one thing if the children of Apollo were foolish enough to defend their father, Dionysus would have been the first to punish them for their stupidity, but the vast majority of Apollo's kids recognise the gods role in his wife's death and that he was a terrible husband.
Some of Apollo's many domains after all are Truth and Knowledge, his kids are more than smart enough to see the heart of the matter and discern sincerity from lies.
Apollo kids already had some understanding of their father's darker side, he is as much the god of plagues as he is the god of medicine and they are just as likely to inherit a touch that invokes death from him as they are healing.
That said they were still unprepared for the truth of his marriage.
The fact that Apollo is a great dad makes it especially difficult, if not impossible, for them to hate him like most demigods do once the news of Persedione's suicide got out but that doesn't mean they just wrote his actions off.
It's one thing to hurt your enemies, it's another thing to hurt the people you love.
His kids have a massive crisis of faith and identity.
What does it say about you that your father, someone who you love and has cared for you so deeply, is a monster?
What does that make you when you look like him? Talk like him? Act like him?
Apollo's children might have been isolated had they been in a cabin on their lonesome but that isn't possible with how things are in this au. Especially with Dionysus, Persedione's Son, putting his foot down before tensions or vitriol really had a chance to settle and ferment.
Dionysus may avoid them like the plague for looking like their dad but he knows that his mother would be disappointed if he let children be hurt for their parents actions.
Not to mention Dionysus watched Apollo punish Persedione for things that weren't her fault all the time and swore never to act in such a way. Standing by as the kids he is now duty bound to raise acted in such a manner was never an option.
Apollo doesn't receive any offerings from the camp, not even from his children, for decades after her death and even once things settle the only ones who give them with any consistency are his younger children who have yet to learn the darker myths involving the gods.
It is the damage Persedione's death causes to his relationship with his kids, not the mention the danger they are now in without her protection, more than anything else that drives home the reality of Apollo's actions to him.
Gods like to pretend they are above consequences, and for the most part they are, which is why it is so hard to make them admit when they are wrong.
Apollo admits it now.
Too little, too late.
But he admits it.
It burns something horrible when he realises that it is only thanks to the memory of his dead wife that his children don't have to pay the consequences for his actions alongside him.
Second, Asclepius:
If Asclepius had still been the god he was before his mother died, he absolutely would have been working overtime to set the narrative so that it didn't paint his Father in a poor light. However, Persedione's death and the events that followed did what Dionysus thought was impossible and shattered the fantasy world Asclepius had been living in.
Asclepius can no longer ignore his Fathers sins but doesn't really know what to do because thanks to always turning a blind eye he has destroyed every meaningful bond he has except the one shared with his Father (even Ascl. relationship with his kids is strained because they love their grandmother and cannot deal with their dads attitude towards her.).
Asclepius can't deny any longer that in standing by his father he turned his back on his mother and Dionysus but in his mind if he verbally admits that now he will lose Apollo and have nothing left.
The dude is absolutely crashing out but quietly in the corner. He's eventually going to lock himself away from everyone including Apollo in some form of self punishment/atonement. Only interacting with mortals until Leo and everyone in H.o.O track him down.
third, moulding their appearance:
Whilst not exactly common, Apollo did have the occasional demigod before she died that looked like his wife and it always caused drama. Persedione pretended not to notice but Hera and Athena always lost it and even Poseidon voiced displeasure over it on one memorable occasion.
In the direct aftermath of her suicide Apollo's kids all look exactly like Persedione, I'm talking uncanny valley levels of similarity and it drives half of Olympus into hysterics. Zeus ends up getting involved and basically threatens to let Aphrodite sterilize him if he doesn't stop.
Apollo doesn't stop of course, he's an ass like that, he just gets more subtle about it. Every woman he chases looks like his lost wife and all his kids have an echo of her in their appearance. Apollo's colouring but the shape of their eyes, that jawline, the crooked smile... all of that is Persedione.
Most of the Gods are able to ignore it but Dionysus is forced to be near these brats 24/7 and it fucks him up pretty badly. Without his strongest domain(wine) he's leaning pretty heavily on the others and loses himself rather easily to his own madness.
Only Triton and Athenas regular check ins stop the god from going completely off the deep end in a way that cannot be undone.
On good days Dionysus will make up excuses too be near the Apollo kids just to catch a glimpse of his mother so he won't forget her appearance.
On bad days he avoids them like the plague for fear that he might hurt them unfairly. It's not their fault that Apollo is cruel.
Finally, Claiming:
Apollo stopped claiming his kids publicly. He makes sure they are aware that they are his and those who know what to look for obviously recognise their parentage, but he hopes that by not publicly acknowledging them it might protect them from the other gods wrath.
All Demigods after all, but especially the unclaimed, are considered Persedione's children and under her protection.
Apollo may be a terrible husband but he is a good dad. His children don't want a different parent, they just wish that they didn't understand what it was like to be loved by a monster and love it in turn.
She's not sure why- No. She knows exactly why she struck back this time and why. She. kept. On. Striking.
She could take any abuse he threw at her, had taken it for thousands of years without comment.
She had been a good and Loyal wife.
He never should have brought up Dio.
Her Baby.
Persedione had thought the sun god was smarter than that. Thousands of years worth of Marriage and for all he had come close to saying something regrettable in his more wrathful moments, not once had he ever been foolish enough to out right threaten her child.
Until now.
Persedione had been a good and loyal wife, but she was a mother before all else and no one threatened her children.
She isn't sure how long she sits in her temple beside his cooling corpse before someone finds her. It can't be too long, not when the ichor coating her skin and staining her clothes is still wet to the touch.
Sturdy hands grip her shoulders and she flinches away before realising the goddess holding her is Athena.
Persedione crumples into her mothers protective embrace, form shifting to match her emotional state as the goddess bawls her eyes out and cries like she hasn't allowed herself to since Apollo first consummated their marriage.
In that moment she is not a goddess or protector but a daughter seeking the comfort only a mother could provide.
Athena holds her for as long as she is able but not as long as she wishes to.
As much as it pains her, the Wisdom Goddess knows they cannot afford to stall.
It is a miracle Apollo's absence has not already been noticed and with sunrise fast approaching it is only a matter of time before Artemis comes calling.
Her daughter cannot be on Olympus when that happens.
The whimper Persedione lets out as Athena pulls away is heart breaking but she cannot falter, not when her babies freedom is at stake.
It would be one thing if Apollo was just a mortal or even a minor god, Zeus has overlooked far worse in the past and Persedione is his favourite grandchild and mother to his favourite son.
But Apollo is an Olympian and worst still, Zeus Heir.
As the God of Justice and Ruler of Olympus her father will have no choice but to act unless they give him an excuse not to.
The plan is simple, Athena will stall for time and Persedione will head to the Underworld where she will beg Hades for Sanctuary within the Court of Erebus.
Zeus will not risk war over Apollo, not when the worship his least favoured son receives is great enough that the god will not remain dead.
Apollo will reform in no more than a few decades if that.
Unfortunately.
If Poseidon was a half decent father Athena would have directed her daughter to seek out his protection, his wrath when his family is harmed is legendary in the mortals myths. But Myths rarely tell the whole story and the ocean deities lack of action when it comes to their child has left the Wisdom goddess uncertain if he will step up to protect their daughter now when she needs it most.
Poseidon has never cared to in the past, why would it be any different this time?
No, better to risk their luck with Hades whom Athena knows cares for her daughter and holds no love for Apollo given his appalling behaviour to the chthonic gods these past few centuries.
Apollo is banned from the Underworld for a reason.
Persedione hugs her mother tightly, fearful that they might never get to do this again regardless of whether Athena's plotting succeeds or fails (Most Olympians cannot enter Erebus after all), before flashing to the Underworld's entrance.
Charon's delight at seeing the Psychopomp quickly turns to horror once he realises the state she's in and the panic only lessens slightly upon learning that the ichor staining the sweet goddess is not her own.
Were it not for Thanatos sensing Persedione's presence and appearing to offer himself as a guide to the Throne room for an audience, Charon would have readily abandoned his post to see the Goddess often referred to by the dead as 'Gentle One' to wherever she needed to go.
As it is, only his trust in his brother to do right by Loyalty prevents Charon from follow them both down into the realm bellow regardless.
Hade's is waiting for them when they reach the throne room, as is most of the Court. A god had died, violently, and any with Chthonic ties within their pantheon had felt it.
Were it not the height of Spring, Persephone would be sat beside her Husband. As it is, the goddess had bullied her older brother into going in her stead and reporting back.
Hermes isn't sure what he expected when his sister sent him down bellow but when the psychopomp see's Persedione's state from his position within the crowd he panics and tries to leave.
Fortunately, Hekate and Lady Styx notice as he turns to flee and bind him.
No one will ever know what he might have done once he reached the surface once more.
The messenger may be an Olympian but he came to the Underworld in his role as a Psychopomp and he will not leave without the permission of the Ruler of the Dead.
Hades heart breaks at the sight of his niece, his is not the only one to do so.
Persedione is dearly loved within the Underworld.
The entire court listens on in glee as she recounts the sun gods inglorious end and delights when they realise just why Persedione is here.
Hade's pretends to consider for a moment, but there is not a god or titan present that does not know what their Kings answer will be.
The Oceans may be the most infamous for their possessive tendencies but the Underworld is no less covetous of those they consider their own. They have wished to steal Persedione away from the lecherous god of healing for centuries and now he is no longer around to stop them.
better still the delightful goddess came to them willingly.
Hermes tries to reason with those present pointing out that Persedione is tied to both the Olympian and Atlantean courts through ichor and marriage.
Only to have his remarks cut down by Lady Styx who makes it clear that Persedione's oath to Apollo was only until death, meaning their marriage dissolved the moment he choked to death on his own blood. And as for the Ocean dwellers, so long as Persedione is tied to Erebus through a formal Oath before Poseidon has a chance to reclaim her, there is nothing the negligent king can do.
Formal oaths of service to the court can only take place when both the King and Queen are present but there are other ways to tie a goddess to their realm.
Hekate glides forward to stand beside her Lover and the one they both desire. As one, the Titan of Magic and the god of death offer the goddess of Loyalty a Pomegranate.
On the surface they throw apples, but down bellow they offer Pomegranates in honour of their love that blossomed between their beloved king and queen.
Persedione accepts it gladly, a golden flush to her cheeks that complements the ichor staining her chiton.
Ares: stealing and withholding zeus lightning bolt for 6 months.
Zeus: not that big of a deal Ares in retrospect, here's a fairly light punishment.
Apollo: is the patron god of the Oracle and has one legacy in his lineage that starts a war.
Zeus: wow apollo u messed up, those prophecys were shit and your legacy started a war. This is 100% your fault I punish you to be mortal and have to go on deadly quests that could kill you as a god turned mortal.

This is the reveal of this ridiculousness during their game
Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
When I was 16, I went to the doctor for widespread, full body pain. My doctor took one look at me and dismissed my medical concerns as a purely hormonal issue. According to her, my natural, unshaven legs were "abnormally hairy" for a girl my age. She ignored everything I had to say and ignored me to a gynecologist.
Just hours later, I was hospitalized for my pain, which was now accompanied by a fever and a heart rate of 160 BPM. I was confused and disoriented, and every blood test pointed towards high levels of inflammation. The doctors, in their report, attributed my symptoms to sepsis.
That wasn't my first time experiencing transphobia in American healthcare hell, but it is by far the most obvious example. My doctor didn't care that I was in pain. She only cared that I, a nonbinary teenager with an F on their birth certificate, didn't meet her expectations of femininity.
This is why it pisses me off when people tell me I'm not really trans, or that I don't experience transphobia as a nonbinary person. I could have fucking died that day, purely because my doctor couldn't see past my nonbinary identity and gender expression.
I went to urgent care with symptoms of thrombocytopenia. When they ran my labs, my platelets were pretty low, roughly 50,000 (normal range is above 120,000 and emergency range is below 30,000). I was advised to make an appointment with my primary care doctor ASAP to be referred to a hematologist (as required by my insurance), and to go to the ER if it got any worse before that appointment.
Four days later, it got worse. I was confused, dizzy, uncoordinated, and generally not feeling well. I immediately went to the ER.
Initially, I was treated pretty normally. They put in an IV, drew blood, asked me about my symptoms, all the normal stuff, and they were generally pretty nice about it. But then they had me do patient registration, where I was given the opportunity to put my preferred name and pronouns on my chart, rather than continue to get deadnamed and misgendered, which was causing me additional stress on top of The Symptoms.
They called me my preferred name one time, and sounded very confused doing so. Once they realized I was transgender, the quality of my care immediately declined. No more nice chitchat. No more asking how I was doing. No more smiling.
They sent me home. I got my lab results in my discharge paperwork. My platelets were at 27,000. When I went to my primary care doctor the next day and she saw my labs, she immediately got red in the face.
âWhat the fuck? They sent you home? Theyâre supposed to admit you for anything below 30,000! What the fuck were they thinking?â
I didnât know whether or not sheâd believe me if I said it was because Iâm nonbinary, so I just said I didnât know.
She managed to find a hematologist in my network that could fit me in for an emergency transfusion two days later. My platelets were at 12,000 at that point and he said if Iâd so much as bumped into something wrong before I got there, I wouldâve died.
Donât ever fucking tell me that nonbinary people have âcissexual privilegeâ.
uninstall adobe acrobat. it is malware. it has been malware. these aren't opinions: acrobat meets the definition of malware.
it installs a user-login-time "startup" executable that ignores any windows directives to disable it on startup. doing so only removes the even-more-malicious taskbar-icon-creating advertisement-notification-creating process. no matter what you do, the sleeper "updater" process starts when you log in, and runs perpetually
it sends & receives encrypted network traffic both periodically and non-periodically. both are bad, both are suspicious, and a program doing both is more suspicious than the sum of their parts. and to boot: acrobat will polymorphically edit its code after such network activity
this isn't new: it has always done this. now, it does not even do the thing it is meant to: provide a way to interact with documents, which is amongst the very first features computers were built to provide. you can merely open PDFs and read some of their content in the narrow space between the requests for adobe to give them your money, and interface for features you cannot use (because you don't) or do not, have not, and will not ever need
adobe and microsoft would very much like the user's cultural norms around computers to allow for advertisement built into the local software and even operating system itself. the web being 100% advertisements was not enough! sure enough, acrobat will hijack the windows notifications system thing to give you the 2026 equivalent of pop-ups
i don't really know enough about windows software equivalents, so i'll paypal $20 to the first person that reblogs this with a list of 3-5 PDF reader/editor/etc acrobat equivalents that meet the following criteria:
open source, locally-built executables must match checksum of prebuilt distributed executable
no paid features/premium version/subscription/whatever
not a toy hobby project thing, must be windows-users-proof
Firefox's built-in PDF.js viewer: does everything you could want from a basic viewer, fast enough search, and can now do annotations for filling in forms and such
KDE Okular: is a decent viewer and can also do basic annotations, and is so not-a-toy that you can even download it on the Windows app store.
LibreOffice Draw: I don't ever really like having to open this but if you have to edit a PDF in detail it does work, and doesn't just vomit up a bunch of polygons when you give it text to work with. Better as an authoring tool than an editor.
I've 100% replaced free acrobat with the firefox built-in and it works wonderfully for general office use and research/reading/viewing. It doesn't have robust redaction capabilities, but if you need to fill and sign and highlight a form it's actually much more intuitive than acrobat reader.
"Kill your local sex offender!" Oh, you mean the guy who went streaking at his local college football game on a dare one time? That's a sex crime.
"No, I mean-"
Oh, maybe the woman who had to pee in a public park that only had pay toilets, so she tried to hide behind the bushes but got caught? Public urination is a sex crime.
"What? No, I mean-"
Oh, maybe you mean the homeless guy who had to strip down to get his clothes in the laundromat to clean them for the first time in weeks? He tried being subtle, but someone called the cops on him, and now he's on the sex offender registry for public nudity.
"Rapists and pedophiles! Kill rapists and pedophiles!"
Oh, like the trans woman who got called a pedophile groomer for helping a trans kid escape her abusive parents?
Or maybe the black man who got labeled a rapist because he came on to another man's wife, and he decided to get back at him by charging him with rape?
How about the 17 year olds who were fooling around, fully consensually, in one of their bedrooms? That's still technically underage sex and thus rape of a minor.
Oh, or maybe you're talking about the doctor who performed genital reconstructive surgery in a state that just voted to get that classified as rape?
People will do everything they can to get you convinced rape and pedophilia are the worst crimes possible, then accuse whoever they like the least of being either a rapist, a pedophile, or both, counting on you turning on them just for being accused of the crime.
"Oh, so you're saying you don't want to kill a serial rapist?"
That's exactly what I'm goddamn saying.
Once we decide a group is okay to kill, the government will do everything they can to convince you that their political enemies are either part of that group, or just as bad as that group, to get you to kill their enemies for them.
The only way out is to accept every life as worth saving.
Most cop thing I've ever read. what the fuck are you talking about. The posts you're looking for might be on this website but we won't show them to you???
just so you know, if you completely ignore the search feature on the website and just type "tumblr.com/search/term" into the address bar, it bypasses all of this. broken-ass website
