current obsession: absolute worst case of Batfam brainrot, worse than my Eruri phase, holy damn. I'm two seconds away from writing a Bruce-centric fic (the complicated father figure trope hit me again, I definitely have a type of favourite character). As always Star Wars, especially Clones and Mandos hold my interest.

last googled: Venus Romania (family friends will stay for an extended weekend there thanks to the holiday on the 15.08. and I had to check where that city was located at the black sea - it's close to the Bulgarian border fyi)

Currently working on: I have a bunch of WIP's that are kind of on a pause - pieces of fanfiction and some drawings - since I've gotten a really bad habit of doomscrolling in my free time (which is also much more limited now because I started 12th grade), and there's somewhat little time for me to work on them.

Halloo! :D noticed your recent concern over making a new theme after your compliment; I think I can add some commentary on the planning process

FOR ONE have an idea/person on what you want to base your theme on. Like my previous theme was based on the sea and was about a commodore, inspired by Norrington from Pirates of The Caribbean. My inspiration for the new theme came when I thought I should change the commodore one but still have this older vibe to it; and a few days before that I remembered a YouTube video talking about Victorian Viscountesses; and therefore I thought why not make the theme about a “Countess”? Has this previous century feel to it, and is even a little regal — But the idea can be on literally anything else that fansies you! It can be a rock&roll music store owner, or the leader of a spy network; those two are actually my theme ideas before I went for the commodore! And take my alt/testing account @sevysaidwhatnow — this is of a regatta (sailing competition) host!

From there you need to know what colors you want to use. It can very much determine what images you want to look for for the theme in the first place, and who/what you want on your icon. Like for me I actually started making the new theme with blue in mind instead of yellows and red, and the person on the icon was supposed to be Evie Frye. BUT sometimes you find inspiration to pursue a different color and that's fine :D the same way I saw the Reverse1999 x Assassin's Creed Collab Livestream and their art of Ezio resorted me to pursue new colors and have him on the icon instead aha.

PLANNING IS YOUR LIFESAVER. Listen I am usually very spontaneous and do little to no planning to things at all, but I do planning because it helps me remember what I want this or that to look like — and besides, you can get your frustration out on theme-making still in the beginning process instead of halfway through LMAO; but I'm not saying changing your mind midway is a bad thing, it's okay :D I myself wanted more decoration to my icon like below before I went for simplicity instead:

The same way I was frustrated with my layout (left) for my fanfics and then I got to an agreement (right) what I want:

Inspo helps too!! I look to other users for ideas on what my things would look like, the same way I did for my new navigator. Although keep in mind there are users who don't want to be inspo for other people's themes; and don't take so much inspiration from people to the point of plagiarism 😅 I promise you, it can happen.

DON'T RUSH. In many instances the best stuff comes with time, unless you're in passionate moment of motivation and manage to create something good quickly aha. It took me ~24-48 hours before I got to the Countess theme I have CURRENTLY. It sounds pretty short time yes but keep in mind it took me 2 MONTHS before I got to the Commodore theme; earlier than that I was messing around with other themes before Commodore became ‘permanent’.

Wheh, that was a lot 😅 I hope you'll do alright in forming your new theme. You don't have to follow all of these to the letter as we're all different in processes, but I hope you got an idea on how to start planning, if not just learned my general thought process for theme making/editing in general. I'm still here if you need some insight 🫶🫶

I had no idea how to even begin, and after reading your explanation, I was able to gain a better foundation and idea of how to start planning. Can you imagine how many WEEKS it would take when you travel from 2020's Hong-Kong to 1770's AMERICA??

I specifically chose Hong-Kong because of 1) their drastic time difference with America and 2) the amount of hours you'd have to dedicate to flying from the U.S. to Europe to Asia — if not that, flying to Hong-Kong from San Francisco alone takes like 14 hours 🫠🫠

If that was to happen to me I don't think my sleep patterns would ever recover from this 🙏🙏😭😭
