[Naruto Shippuden AU story] The Last Heir

(PART 5)

Upon arriving at the village after their encounter with the infamous monster, Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto were strangely calm—much calmer than usual. For once, Naruto remained silent, even though he’s usually annoyingly loud. Sakura was still traumatized by the encounter; that night, she had a terrible nightmare about the attack by the Man-Eater Primeval Monster. As for Sasuke, he remained calm and said nothing, as he often did. But this time, his silence lasted longer. His eyes were fixed constantly on the forests surrounding Konohagakure. In class, their classmates noticed Team 7’s unusual quietness; it didn’t take them long to figure out why—hours earlier, Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura had encountered the Demon Deer and survived. For his part, Kakashi gave his report to the Third Hokage; not only did he discuss their previous mission in the Land of Waves, but he also mentioned the encounter with the Man-Eater Primeval and noted that this creature is indeed capable of sensing the chakra of those who cross its path. Most concerning is that it can detect the presence of the tailed beasts within their hosts. However, when the beast realized that the Kyūbi was much stronger than it was, it chose survival and fled. They must have seen the fox demon as a dangerous rival they couldn’t face alone. As he listened to him, Hiruzen Sarutobi stood with his arms crossed, his eyes closed, serious, taking in every detail. The fact that the monster that has been lurking in the south of the country for some time now can sense the chakra of all kinds of individuals—including that of Jinchūriki—is indeed more troubling than he could have imagined. Especially since the latest update on the Man-Eater reveals that it is a human being—a woman, to be precise—who transforms into this creature by eating human flesh. Hiruzen tells Kakashi that the fact the Man-Eater Primeval Monster is actually a woman must remain a secret. He suspects that the person terrorizing the region might be the Shikagami sister whom Kumo tried to use as a weapon. If a group with malicious intentions were to try to capture the beast, she would be a dangerous asset to them.

After the grueling and intense Chunin exams, Naruto suddenly thought back to the Man-Eater Primeval Monster. Unable to keep it to himself, he openly asked his companions Sasuke and Sakura whether the creature they had encountered had once been human or had always been a beastly monster. Faced with this question, memories of the attack resurfaced in Sakura’s mind, and she told Naruto to stop talking nonsense, insisting that it was impossible. But at the same time, Naruto’s curiosity and his desire to understand the beast began to take hold in Sasuke and Sakura’s minds as well. They suddenly find themselves wanting to understand the monster that attacked them as well. Seeing his curious students, Kakashi tells them that it’s good to be curious about certain things, but advises them not to get too carried away. However, if they really want to understand the beast, it’s best not to arouse the suspicions of others. The Copy Ninja won’t tell them, however, that the beast is, in fact, a human. The next day, each on their own, Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto conduct research on the Man-Eater Primeval, though for different reasons; Naruto wants to know if the deer-like creature was actually a human and why it attacks everyone. Sakura also wants to know if it’s a human, but she’s primarily looking into the medical aspects. And Sasuke is the same, but his motives are rather dark—he’s trying to figure out how to kill that monster. His secret goal of killing his brother, Itachi Uchiha, drives him to seek a way to defeat the Man-Eater Primeval Monster and become stronger. He and Sakura study at the library and in the archives, respectively, while Naruto—not being the sharpest tool in the shed—chooses to ask the elders questions about Konoha’s past and whether there was ever a technique capable of transforming people into a gigantic monster. During their respective research, the three genin uncovered the history of the Shikagami Clan—learning about their culture, way of life, taboos, and how they came to disappear. Team 7 realizes that the southern part of the Land of Fire once belonged to the extinct clan. But there’s a problem: if the Shikagami were all wiped out, why is the Man-Eater Primeval there? Like the village’s jonin, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura wonder if the monster is a survivor and is attacking travelers to take revenge on those who massacred its kind.

One day, news spreads throughout the Hidden Leaf Village: the Man-Eater Primeval Monster has disappeared. There are no longer any reports of disappearances in its territory, nor is there any trace of the monster. While everyone in the village—and indeed, the entire country—feels relieved that the creature will never again be able to devour everyone, others are baffled. Some are asking themselves: How? Like many wild animals, predators never leave their territory without a reason—unless they’re forced to. Team 7 and a few other teams are among those surprised by the monster’s mysterious disappearance. But two days later, a rumor began to spread throughout the village: shortly before the Man-Eater Primeval vanished, two men in black robes with red cloud patterns were spotted nearby, and the beast was never seen again. These two individuals were later identified as Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki; they are members of a mysterious organization called Akatsuki. At the time, the group’s true purpose was unknown, but all that was known was that it was an S-rank criminal organization composed of dangerous individuals who committed atrocities. For Naruto, it came as a shock—not long ago, he had already crossed paths with Itachi and Kisame. The shock gave way to anger. What had they done to Shikagami, the supposed last survivor? What do they want with them? Did they kill them? Or did they capture him alive? As far as Sasuke is concerned, that’s impossible—while no one else is capable of killing the beast, Itachi is strong enough to defeat it. A week later, an ANBU team searched the Shikagami Cemetery and the surrounding area where the beast had lived, looking for any signs of a struggle. Nothing. Not a single recent clue left by the creature, nor any from the two Akatsuki members, if a battle had taken place. The disappearance of the Man-Eater Primeval will remain an unsolved case—at least for a very long time. Everyone moves on.

Time passes, and Naruto and his friends had to put this matter aside to deal with other events. Team 7 went on many adventures. After the death of the Third Hokage, Tsunade—the granddaughter of the First Hokage—became the Fifth Hokage and the first woman to lead the Leaf Village, and the rivalry between Sasuke and Naruto intensified. Sasuke left the village to train under Orochimaru. Naruto, with the help of his friends Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi, Kiba Inuzuka, and Neji Hyuga, set out to find Sasuke and bring him back to the village; four of them ended up in a weakened state. Others, such as Rock Lee and the three siblings from Sunagakure—Temari, Kankuro, and Gaara—joined them later. A battle took place between Sasuke and Naruto in the Valley of the End. Naruto left with Jiraiya to train seriously. Sakura took lessons from Tsunade. The two members of Team 7 would not reunite until two years later. But what they didn’t expect was that soon, the case of the Man-Eater Primeval Monster would resurface.

(PART 4)

Team 7—consisting of Kakashi Hatake, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura—had just returned from their mission in the Land of Waves when they arrived on the mainland, which is located in the very southern part of the Land of Fire. The Chunin Exams are just a few days away, so they can’t linger too long and must hurry back to Konohagakure. It’s dusk, and Kakashi and his three young students need to find a place to sleep. But suddenly, a distorted bellow from a deer is heard in the distance, and Team 7 freezes. Young Naruto asks what it was. Yet it’s still summer; it’s not yet mating season for deer. Slowly, the temperature drops. The frogs and cicadas stop chirping. Then, the sound of heavy footsteps approaches them. A massive figure walking on all fours takes shape before them as it draws nearer, becoming more distinct. It was as tall as the trees, with long, greasy, dark hair; a skeletal deer-like face; long antlers on either side of its head; eyes glowing in the darkness; a very slender body covered in fine black fur and a mane around its neck; hooved hind legs and human arms; and long fingers ending in claws. Fear rises among the young genin as they stare at this figure. There’s no doubt about it: this half-deer creature standing before them is the nightmare, Man-Eater Primeval Monster that everyone’s been talking about. The thing stares all four of them straight in the eyes. In its mouth lies the fresh corpse of its latest victim. The demon chewed its meal; only the upper half of the body was in its mouth, while the legs lay on the ground in front of the Konoha-nin. Sakura, Naruto, and Sasuke were all three shocked as they looked at the remains on the ground before them, while the rest of the body had completely vanished, swallowed by the monster. The Man-Eater Primeval then growled at them. Although it was an S-rank threat, the three genin were not yet ready to face such danger, so Kakashi quickly prioritized their safety. As the beast charged at them, Kakashi yelled at his students to climb the trees. Determined to distract it, Naruto used his Shadow Clone Jutsu to slow it down, giving him and his friends time to climb the tallest trees. As expected, the Man-Eater attacked the boy’s clones one by one, but every time the clones struck, the monster seemed to anticipate their moves. Once all the clones had disappeared, just as Kakashi was about to fight it, the monster’s head turned toward Sakura, who appeared to be the farthest away from the group. It tried to attack the girl. Fortunately, by the time it tried to catch her, Sakura was already high enough up in the tree where she had taken refuge to escape its claws. The creature growled in frustration and struggled to climb up to catch its prey, but its hooves prevented it from scaling the tree; it snapped its jaws twice in an attempt to grab its meal by the ankles. Then it began lashing out with its claws to force her to fall, but the tree was far too thick to give way to its efforts. The tree shaken violently, and poor, frightened Sakura clung on with all she can do to keep from falling—so hard that her knuckles turned white—as she screamed for help. Meanwhile, Sasuke and Naruto could hear her screams. Naruto couldn’t bear to see her in danger, and despite his teacher’s orders, he rushed forward to try to save her. The young ninja tries to draw the monster’s attention. Sensing the presence of the others—two of whom are hidden in nearby trees and another behind them—the monster turns toward Naruto. Naruto yells at it to fight him. Finally, the Man-Eater Primeval Monster left Sakura alone and slowly advanced toward its next meal. But suddenly, the beast stopped and began to lift its head and sniff the air like someone with a cold. It sensed another presence—one far more powerful than itself. Another predator, much larger and far more dangerous.

The scent of the colossal chakra comes… from Naruto. It is at that moment that the beast sees what others cannot see—it sees the spirit of the Nine-Tailed, Kyûbi (Kurama), dwelling within the young boy’s body. Kyûbi roars menacingly at it, and the Man-Eater Primeval roars back. Naruto covered his nose, for the beast’s breath smelled of rotting flesh. At that time, Naruto didn’t understand that he was a Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tailed, so he found himself confused. Kakashi, however, realized that the deer demon had sensed the fox demon within Naruto, and that this was not a good sign at all. The Man-Eater Monster took a few steps back before running off on all fours into the forest and disappearing into the darkness. The last thing the Konoha-nin heard was the monster’s bellow as it receded into the distance. The temperature returned to normal, and the frogs and insects began to sing again. The monster was well and truly gone. Naruto remained confused; he wondered why the creature had fled. Sasuke stared at him—first the village had long rejected Naruto, and now this creature didn’t want him either. He wonder what the Man-Eater Primeval did saw in Naruto. Kakashi looked in the direction the beast had fled. As for Sakura, she climbed down from her tree, traumatized because she had nearly become the monster’s meal....

(PART 3)

The Shikagami were known for their nomadic lifestyle, their enormous stature, and their robust build. They were experts at surviving in hostile environments. They have a sacred connection with nature and animals. Shikagami men stand between 2 meters and 2.60 meters tall, while women range from 1.80 meters to 2 meters. They lead a hunter-gatherer lifestyle that is almost primitive, yet they possess extensive knowledge of medicine; they reject the shinobi system and were also particularly known for being territorial. It is said that in battle, they were intimidating opponents—literally apex predators—capable of locating their adversaries from several meters away, making ambushes nearly impossible. They also have the ability to read souls simply by looking directly into someone’s eyes, allowing them to detect even the slightest lie , and discern the intentions of those they interact with. They always fight and hunt in groups; it’s rare to see one fighting or hunting alone. If their opponents flee, the Shikagami pursue them relentlessly like packs of wolves. Despite their large size, their footsteps make no sound; they can track an enemy for days without the enemy realizing it—or realizing it too late. There is a taboo among them: if a Shikagami consumes human flesh, it will obtain the cursed power of the demon stag. According to their beliefs, one must never utter the entity’s true name, lest one invite misfortune—or even death. During the Second Great Ninja War, the ninjas feared their power; so, sadly, like the Uzumaki Clan for their Fuinjutsu, the Shikagami became the target of the great nations and were exterminated to the last one. During the massacre, many Shikagami broke the taboo by devouring the corpses of both sides, sacrificing their humanity in an attempt to protect themselves. It was in vain. After the genocide, the Land of Fire seized the clan’s ancestral territory, which became a battlefield and is now known as the Shikagami Cemetery. After the war, the men of Kumogakure found the last two survivors: a 12-year-old brother and an 8-year-old sister. The two children were taken to the Land of Lightning to be used for military purposes.

But once they arrived, the brother and sister refused to eat the food offered to them. To these two children, it was foreign food. They struggled to adapt to their new environment, and both gradually fell ill. Within just a few weeks, the sister died. The doctors of the village tried everything to keep the brother alive, but unfortunately, nothing worked, and he, too, passed away two days later. Their deaths marked the extinction of the Shikagami Clan; no one ever saw a single member of that clan again in the forests of the Land of Fire… at least, not until the Man-Eater Primeval appeared decades later. Ever since this threat emerged at the very site of the massacre, the elders have doubted whether Kumogakure is telling the truth about the deaths of the last two survivors. Others doubt that the clan truly wiped out and suspect that there are still survivors alive and hiding deep within the forest....

Rumors of a man-eating monster lurking in the south of the country spread like wildfire in Konohagakure, then beyond the village to neighboring countries. In the small villages located in the area itself, fear and paranoia are taking hold. Residents no longer want to leave the village alone without an escort, especially at night. As for the neighboring countries that share a land border with the Land of Fire—notably the Land of Tea—even though many scoff at the Leaf’s inability to deal with the monster that devours anyone in its path, they have had to step up surveillance at the entrances to their territories as a precaution. Even those on the northern side of the border are concerned that the so-called “Man-Eater Primeval Monster” might sooner or later venture close to their territory. In the Hidden Leaf Village, at the academy, teachers like Iruka Umino advise the young students not to venture into the forbidden zone without an escort. Naruto Uzumaki, barely a genin at the time, couldn’t care less and openly declares that if he comes across that thing, he’ll kick its butt and become the hero. His friend and teammate, Sakura Haruno, initially thinks it’s just another story exaggerated by adults to discourage children from exploring into the woods alone late at night. But deep down, the idea that a creature capable of copying the voices of loved ones to lure them in and eat them unsettles her—it could mimic the voices of her parents or that of Sasuke, the boy she has a crush on. So the young genin believes the teachers’ warnings and avoids the restricted area. Sasuke Uchiha also dismissed the rumors at first, until he heard about new disappearances and listened to the accounts of the few survivors—only then did he realize it was real. In class, some students talk among themselves about the Man-Eater Primeval Monster; it has even become a challenge to travel south and encounter the monster . Except that, in the end, none of these young people are ever able to set foot there. However, among the Jonin—particularly the veterans of the last two world wars—based on the accounts provided by the few survivors of the attacks by the Man-Eater Primeval Monster, including its physical description, abilities, and the precise locations of the encounters, they have a sense of déjà vu. As he found himself alone with a colleague, hidden in the cemetery woods, he heard their captain calling for help; the comrade with him hesitated to go to his aid. He tried to dissuade him, saying it couldn’t be the captain. But his comrade got up and headed toward the cry for help; then the monster snatched him in its jaws and devoured him alive. Then, the creature discovered where he had been hiding. This creature can not only mimic the voices of its victims to lure them toward it but is also capable of detecting chakra and scents. Fortunately, at the very last moment of the chase, he had time to erase the traces of his chakra and dispel his scent. That’s how he managed to escape. That thing… that demon—he’s convinced it’s responsible for the disappearances of their comrades and everyone else who crossed its path. It wasn’t a summoned beast jutsu—he’s certain of that—it’s something primitive, something ancient. Since they had doubts about his story, the survivor was taken to the infirmary and then to the interrogation room. At first, they thought he was exaggerating, but when they probed his memory, they saw that this traumatized man was telling the truth. A sketch of the monster was drawn. It was a half-human, half-deer creature with long, greasy, dark hair like a human’s, deer antlers, a head shaped like a deer’s skull, an almost skeletal body covered in black fur, hooves for hind legs, and human arms with long fingers ending in claws. From that day on, due to its bestial nature—nearly on par with a tailed beasts—the creature was classified as an S-rank threat....

This is Kyuura's demon stag form, in Naruto SD or also says Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth Full Power Ninja Chronicles. In this version, she is litterally the Akatsuki's pet. She's acting like a dog, then later a cat and later again a deer. She is still eat peoples but instead dying, the ninjas she swallowed whole are trap inside of her and Kyuura can spit them out. She still patrolling and protected around the organization hideout, she also bring gifts to her comrades, like a cat who bring randoms stuff or dead animals they can find to their owner. She often dig holes near the base, which it annoyed others members. Kyuura, unlike her human form who is non-verbal, she can growl, roar, purring and moaning. And she don't need to consume human blood for transform, she can just transform when she wants.

Remember, in her demon form, she is the force of the nature and the destruction. For this, she have to consume human flesh and blood, the size depend the quantities. Even in this form, she will feed on human or absorb chakras. When she walk in all four (which I didn't draw yet), she is close tall as a giraffe, close tall as the nightmare Hatzegopteryx...but still small compare to the Tailed Beasts !

Kyuura Shikagami is from the nomadic and tribal Shikagami clan and is a member of a high-ranking family. She is the granddaughter of the Great Chief of the tribe. She was among the most beautiful women and commanded respect. Following the murder of her fiancé and his mistress, and after breaking the taboo of cannibalism, resulting in her obtaining the power of the deer demon, she was forced into exile. Shortly after, she joined the Akatsuki and teamed up with Sasori and Deidara.

Personality:

Kyuura is a young woman with an altruistic, gentle, polite, respectful, and honest personality. Backstory :

Kyuura, princess of the Shikagami clan, belonged to the clan's high-ranking family. From childhood, she received a strict and traditional upbringing, learning the crafts (jewelry making, clothing), diplomacy, and combat to mold her into an excellent warrior and a true heir. She loved accompanying her brothers and cousins ​​on hunts and fishing trips, observing them as they tracked prey and caught fish. She also enjoyed watching her uncles and aunts butcher and cook. It was through these observations that she acquired the skills to survive in the wilderness and in harsh climates. For several years, the Shikagami heir wandered the forests of the Land of Fire. Travelers and ninjas from Konohagakure and other nations began to disappear. Those who survived reported that was a tall woman, dressed in tribal attire, who could transform into an enormous deer-like monster and devour anyone within her field of vision. They also claimed that it was nearly impossible to hide, as she could detect their chakra even from great distances. These accounts gave rise to the legend of the Man-Eating Primeval Monster. The whispers eventually reached Pain's ears, and the evidence found by Kakuzu and Hidan confirmed the cannibal's existence. Pain then sent Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshikagi to find and recruit her. The pair took two days to locate her; Kyuura sensed their presence even before they saw her. Kyuura was hesitant to join the organization at first, but Itachi eventually convinced her by promising the refuge and protection she needed. She accepted and was placed in a trio with Sasori and Deidara, becoming the first to form a three-person team rather than a two-person one.

She doesn't kill for pleasure, but to defend her territory, and thus, despite her exile, to protect the Shikagami's land and its sacred sites. Since joining the Akatsuki, her territory has only expanded, and because she is territorial, Kyuura fiercely defends the organization's hideouts and doesn't hesitate to threaten anyone who ventures too close uninvited; otherwise, it's death. Survival

Kyuura's skills are based on hunting and survival in wild and hostile environments. She provides her companions with the survival supplies they have largely neglected and are somewhat dependent on from the resources of villages and inns that can identify them. She can build shelters with natural materials to spend the night and hunt, fish, or gather for food. She possesses knowledge of botany; she uses medicinal plants for healing, edible plants for meals, and poisonous plants to kill.

Spirit Reading

She is able to read the spirits of those she encounters simply by looking them in the eyes, even those around her. This allows her to detect lies or get to know people without exchanging words.

Tracking

She has the ability to sense chakra signatures, detecting the presence of her opponents from 20 to 40 meters away before she even sees them, allowing her to avoid or create ambushes. Highly stealthy, she stalks her enemies undetected. During battles, if one of them survives and flees, she can relentlessly pursue them until they are exhausted, allowing Kyuura to catch and eliminate them, like a wild animal hunting its prey. Her methods are ruthless; she kills by strangulation, by breaking their necks, or by poisoning. When she is in hunter mode, she no longer sees her opponents as human beings, but rather as prey to be finished off; she feeds on their fear.

Demon Stag

By cleanly killing her opponents, she prevented the spread of blood, thus avoiding the triggering of the cursed power of the deer stag within her and preventing her allies from endangering themselves. If she smells blood, her power can awaken, triggering her murderous hunger. If she drinks blood or consumes flesh, her bestial nature will take over, and her body will slowly transform into a half-deer, half-human beast, losing her humanity and consciousness. It is in this demon form that Kyuura can mimic the voices of her opponents' loved ones in order to lure them to her and devour them. Once a victim is bitten, she mutilates and decapitates them before swallowing them, alive or dead. She can absorb the chakra of those nearby, even her allies.

Appearance:

Kyuura is approximately 1.83 meters (6 feet) tall. She is taller than half of the Akatsuki members but slightly shorter than Kakuzu and shorter than Kisame. She has long, hip-length, dark brown hair tied into a lower ponytail, and had brown eyes.

Before joining the Akatsuki, she wore a green kimono-like dress with a long-sleeved, ochre-red shirt underneath, and a white deer-hide belt around her waist with a dark green leash. She also wore an antique white headband. She had gemstone necklaces around her neck. She wore black leather sandals.

After joining the organization, she now wears the signature cloak and navy blue pants with shinobi sandals. She no longer wears her former clothes or jewelry.

When transformed into a deer demon, her size varies depending on the amount of human flesh she has consumed. She can be 4-6 meters tall on all fours, or 9-10 meters when standing. She has a skeletal, deer-like face and antlers on either side of her skull. She retains her brown hair but has become greasy. Her body becomes thinner and elongated, covered in black fur. The tips of her fingers end in claws, and her feet become deer hooves.

Hobbies:

Her hobbies are making jewelry using wooden beads, animal hides, and gemstones. Her other hobbies include sewing or mending clothes and drawing.
