This beef baked pasta casserole is a hearty and comforting meal that the whole family will love. A tasty beef and cheese mixture is put inside big pasta shells, which are then baked to perfection with marinara sauce and a cheese topping. Everyone will love this meal, which is also very easy to make.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1 box 12 oz jumbo pasta shells. 1 jar 24 oz marinara sauce. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1 cup ricotta cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. 1 teaspoon dried basil. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh parsley for garnish optional.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the marinara sauce, dried oregano, and dried basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef mixture with ricotta cheese and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the beef and cheese mixture and place them in a baking dish. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells. Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to brown the cheese slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
