Sat primly in my large Victorian estate's spacious writing chamber. Underneath the ornate writing disks sits, with whirring fans and RGB lighting, a gaming PC.

Every time I have to wait to respawn in the FPS I'm playing my hand goes off to the side and I cram a handful of petit-fours into my face in a very much unladylike fashion.

One enemy player is giving me a particular amount of trouble. By the time I've gotten the lengthy declaration of the manner in which I courted their mother last night officially notarised and posted it in chat they've already fragged me thrice more.

Might I humbly request you take your leave of my chambers posthaste? I do so hate to be bothered when I'm enjoying a spot of Minecraft.

Im gonna be so honest and say the take ive had for a year here. Kris and Susies dynamic is 100% more impactful if it ISN’T romantic

It’s not even because I rep suselle(though people suddenly hating it more and more is alarming), like you guys know me I’m the polycule lover I have one of the longest polycule fics in the fandom.

But like. Have you ever had a friend you’d die for? Have you ever had a friend that changed and saved your life? Have you ever had a friend you want to live with, you’d trust with your life, that you’ve been through thick and thin with?

Theres such an amatonormative attitude towards shipping the two of them that kinda makes me pull my hair out. “Oh well best friends aren’t like THAT” yes they are. “They have a heart between them!!” Are you five. “Kris keeps blushing!!” Kris blushes over a shit ton of things unrelated to Susie, they’re a teenager that’s flustered easily and it’s a really interesting trait if theirs which also gets overshadowed by thinking blushing is only romantic.

Like it’s okay to ship them. It’s fine. But it makes the scene where they fall into the titan together go from tear-jerking to “eh”.

A lot of people are adding this so I’ll add it too: there’s another beautiful addition of Susie making sure she prioritizes both her relationship with Susie and her friendship with Kris. She still wants special Kris time. She still wants to include them. They’re still just as important to her. There’s not a “scale” of bonds where romantic is automatically stronger than platonic. Are we aware of this

The Facility is a critically important part here. See it’s a Science Facility. It’s run by a very shady clandestine organization, which is incredibly powerful. They’re maybe part of the government, or if not the government then something Illuminati-like.

As such The Facility is very high tech, and likely buried underground or hidden somewhere no normal person can access. The Torture being done is for Science, which the Facility is for. It’s all scientists in lab coats doing the torture. There is so much lab equipment and probably a lot of devices hooked up to the special character which will beep and go off the charts when the special character has a violent mind explosion. This part is important.
