This is my personal "I like it so I reblog it" blog. If you wish, you can follow my side blog @polyamoryfacts for occasional polyamory shitposting and recently more frequently, polyamory advice.

Help I let too much Stuff Without A Home pile up and I'm trying to organise and make new homes for things and every time I look at My Piles Of Stuff I panic

I wouldn't call everything"put away", because I need to build specific storage for a lot of this stuff (particularly the garden tools and power tools), but at least everything is consolidated by type and I have surfaces again.

Occasionally I see people(1) in the comments of posts(2) saying that if people are misunderstanding the OP(3), that must mean the post(4) was poorly phrased. But(5) it is nearly(6) impossible to phrase anything in a way that 100% of the audience(7) will understand(8). If most(9) responses indicate they understand the OP(3), the phrasing is probably(6) not the issue. At a certain point, you(10) have to learn to stop and consider whether your(10) first interpretation is the only or most reasonable interpretation. Trying to spell out(11) anything that anyone could possibly misunderstand quickly becomes unwieldy(12)

What helped me write trauma better is remembering that the nervous system learns predictions. If danger used to come after quiet, calm can feel threatening. If kindness used to come with a price, kindness can feel suspicious. So healing is not just “they know they’re safe now.” Healing is the slow, annoying, deeply unfair process of teaching the body that the old prediction is not always the present truth.

I am hoping to collect several thousand such posts, so that I have a decent sized dataset. I do not care what the post is about; if it's labeled as "mature content", I want to add it to my dataset.

If I get 10,000 posts in my dataset before August 31st 2026, I will post my preliminary findings then. I won't feel comfortable calling my findings "settled" before 2027, unless I get over 50,000 posts.
