I think why Penelope/Marissa kept tabs on Lockwood & Co. so much was because she thought that Lockwood would be like his parents. I think she was scared he would try and succeed to solve the Problem. And when she learnt that he didn’t care at ALL she was like, “Never mind.” But when she learnt (from Ezekiel?) that Lucy was like HER she was interested and scared. She was scared Lucy would find a Type Three like her and learn all the secrets of the Other Side. What she didn’t bet on most of all was George.

Fr. Stefan Wu Zhiquan was bludgeoned to death during the Cultural Revolution in Harbin in 1970. After a three-month imprisonment, he was beaten with a hammer and steel rods, shattering all his teeth before shooting him.
