This is Sam Nordquist. He was a transgender man who was lured to my hometown back in September by his Internet girlfriend. She and four other individuals then proceeded to torture and kill him, leaving his body in a field. I'm absolutely gutted. The misunderstanding for the trans community that leads to this sort of hatred is something that I just will never understand. I'm so sorry, Sam. You deserved so much more than this.

hi everyone .. my name is amara and i’m an eighteen year old nonbinary person who just got kicked out of my home . my step-father somehow logged into my personal computer while i was away from the house and went through everything . he knows everything , he knows that i’m queer , he knows about my partner , every little secret that i kept hidden about myself to protect myself … when i got home , he was in the process of ransacking my room .. started calling me horrible transphobic and homophobic names , said i'm no longer allowed to live under his roof . he told me to get the fuck out , all while my mom watched and didn’t do or say anything to defend me or stop him .
my older sister is letting me stay with her which i appreciate so much but she is a single mom and she’s already struggling without me adding more to her plate . i’m trying to finish this final year of high school so i can get my diploma and go to live with my partner . i have $75 saved up from babysitting but that’s going to go so fast with buying my own groceries and necessities . i’m going to start selling my art soon but in the meantime , i could really use some help .. if anyone can send a few dollars to help me stay afloat until i graduate , it would mean absolutely everything to me !
People with low spoons, someone just recommended this cookbook to me, so I thought I'd pass it on.
I always look at cookbooks for people who have no energy/time to do elaborate meal preparations, and roll my eyes. Like, you want me to stay on my feet for long enough to prepare 15 different ingredients from scratch, and use 5 different pots and pans, when I have chronic fatigue and no dishwasher?
These people seem to get it, though. It's very simple in places. It's basically the cookbook for people who think, 'I'm really bored of those same five low-spoons meals I eat, but I can't think of anything else to cook that won't exhaust me'.

For context: grapefruit interacts with enzymes that metabolizes the obove mentioned medication. (Especially enzyme CYP3A4) It usually leeds to too much medication in your blood stream. Which isn't good.
It also blocks the transporter enzymes for other medications. Which leads to too little medication in your bloodstream. Which also isn't good.
Ask your local pharmacist or google (take the latter with a grain of salt) about your meds and food interactions and stay safe on your meds!
I know people won't care because you all assume every country that isn't in the west is automatically homophobic and/or transphobic, but enshrining this bigotry into law, enabling more institutional and state violence is making my heart weep.

Hey guys. I had closed the fridge wrong last night and it ruined two of my mom's insulin. And well. One of our water pipes burst, so we are without both insulin and water. I can’t stop thinking about them and how every adult in that school and state failed them.
How the hateful rhetoric and dog whistle bathroom bills pushed by far right religious extremists led to this tragedy.
3 older teen girls beat them so badly they died from their injuries. Nex was murdered by hate.
We have been warning that the legal targeting of the trans community recently was going to lead to tragedy like this. We have been screaming from the rooftops that the right wing isn’t protecting anyone. And here we are.
I will continue to do what I can in the off line space to make the world safer for my community.
But I will also not forget Nex Benedict. Say their name. Remember who they were and who they never got the chance to become.
I am writing to ask you to consider sharing a petition. I don't know how far the story has spread, but a non-binary high schooler in Oklahoma (where i live) named Nex Benedict was killed as a result of an attack at Owasso High School two weeks ago. They were attacked on school property.
The state of Oklahoma School Superintendent, Ryan Walters, who has spent his tenure focused on book bans, villainizing teachers, fighting "the woke agenda," and whatever will get him on Fox news. As a part of this he has formed partnerships with the Moms for Liberty and Libs of Tiktok person, Chaya Raichik.
All of these actions include a near constant barrage of attacks on the lgbtqia community. As an lgbtqia person myself, with kids who are also part of the community, including non-binary children, i am incredibly saddened by Nex's death, and worried about the safety of my own children in this state.
It's just a petition and i know the impact feels limited. It feels small to me, but i would like to ask you to share it in the hopes that it might bring some news coverage and open talks in this state about removing this public official for the good of the community.
