Pentatonix (from their A Pentatonix Christmas) Carrie Underwood (from her Christmas album My Gift) Susan Boyle (from her Christmas album The Gift) Lindsey Stirling (from the “deluxe” version of her Christmas album Warmer in the Winter) A version of it using the tune (by Leonard Cohen as well) with different lyrics for Christmas An instrumental accompaniment for it credited to Leonard Cohen literally titled “Hallelujah Christmas”

Also here is an article by Billboard titled “How Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ Became a Christmas Hit Decades After Its Release“, and I can personally attest to attending a yearly Christmas Talent Fundraiser where someone performs “Hallelujah” every time.

It very much has been entirely co-opted by Christians for Christmas, or for just Christian themes (this is my least favorite example which is garbage imo for several reasons). Notice, if you look up the original lyrics by Leonard Cohen, that there are at least two verses that are not commonly used that have decidedly Jewish themes.

No, I’m not Jewish. But I can observe the environment around me and I can listen to Jewish voices when they are speaking. Both of which tell me that “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen absolutely is used in the US as a Christmas song despite the fact that it is not.
