idkTime in Cyberpunk 2077 is so weird. Why are these things so weird and arbitrary?

I guess point one is why 2077? 2055 would have been fine.

Why is there a six month time skip, but Jackie treats you like you’ve only been working together a few weeks? In six months, V should definitely know MaxTac and how to shoot/sneak/sabotage decently. You can awkwardly say “we make a good team” but that would be something after, like…a month or two, at best? Had they been barely getting shit to work together on? i understand “well we need the players to understand! we need them to get that jackie and v are bffs!” okay then why not just have the heist be set further back? let jackie come with us on other missions first? idk

Why does everyone still talk a ton about Samurai? That would be like finding a Rolling Stones diehard rn. And like, yes, people still go nuts about The Beatles, but it isn’t nearly as persistent as how Samurai is treated in universe.

With that, why does all of Samurai act like it hasn’t been fifty years since they’ve broken up? Henry holds a grudge for that long, has been struggling for that long? Kerry still holds a flame for a man who’s been dead long enough for babies born on that day to collect retirement checks? It takes him that long to find a new muse? (which is really sad and does Kerry very dirty narratively but i digress)

like it doesn’t add up to me that’s all. but i mean i know what the answer is: crunch and impatient higher-ups ruined this game and the issues with it came from it not getting enough time in the proverbial oven.

If this sweetens the deal for anyone they also met the stretch goal to include a feature where your children grow up and become proper NPCs, which kids staying toddlers forever is my main complaint about basically every farming sim I've played, so I'm 100% going to buy this. I add vet tech storytime….lady brings in a kitten, terribly concerned he’s got a cold or asthma or something…he’s always making this alarming sound in his chest but he’s so active and affectionate and loves to snuggle. Neither her or her husband have ever had a cat before, so she just wants to make sure they get everything right and take good care of their newest family member.

I pet the kitten as I give this lady pamphlets and a personalized Cat Owner 101 lesson.

The kitten is leaving a great time, nearly comatose with happy in my lapm

She goes “That’s it!! That’s the sound!! What’s wrong with him?! If there’s anything we can do, we’ll do it! He’s my son’s best friend, we love him!”

I stare at her helplessly, fighting every impulse because this woman is so genuine in her love and concern for this, the first cat her family has ever experienced.
