storm

Arkanisan cliff lions are living storms; well, not actually. They just resemble storm clouds. They have cloven claws for climbing up sheer cliffs and padded paws for absorbing shock from high falls. Their curled, tightly wound fur helps to keep them dry and warm.

Hux is enamored by them because. They’re strength. They’re beauty. They’re efficiency.

Poe thinks they’re neat.

scales

the scale of the fabled sea serpent Aigean-Fí who swallowed the secondary Arkanis sun. The rain is caused by the grief of the other star that Arkanis orbits around, so the story goes. Only for a few days a year do the clouds and grief subside and the sun shines upon the planet. Festivals are held during those days.

Despite Aigean-Fí being partially responsible for the constant downpour, Aigean-Fí is thought of as a protector and provider for the seas.

They say the waves are caused by Aigean-Fí’s movement.
