Just swimming by to say hello. 🦭
oh this is genius
My favorite David Burke Holmemes in honor of his passing. Rest in peace to one of the best and hottest Watsons we’ve ever had.
Fun fact: the first meme in this post was actually the first Holmeme I ever made, and the inspiration for this whole series!

I believe he also now has a library card.
He does!
Everyone shut up and look at this carving of a whale from the 1200-600 CE Chumash culture

The Catalan Discworld edition is the best edition ever and you won't change my mind...
LOOK HOW PRETTY THEY ARE!!!
Same animal according to Danish. They’re both “marsvin”
It means sea-pig because people thought the whale was kinda pig-shaped and it lived in the sea.
Then we learned the Germans called the rodents “Meerschweinchen” which means little-sea-pig because they thought they were kinda pig-shaped and came from across the sea and it sounded enough like “marsvin” so we just called them that too.
So if Danes from towns near the see tell you they saw a “marsvin” while they were out on their walk it’s a good idea to ask clarifying questions.

I am bursting through your door, finally officially able to tell you about the reason I've been drawing ships for 2-3 years:
I'm working on a new graphic novel very close to my heart called A TRUE GENTLEMAN
With big marsh, big ships, and BIG YEARNING, inspired by a lot of real queer history and sort of 20% 'if master and commander was trans and hated the british empire'. It’s also my first book where a main character has the same disability as me, and it means a huge amount to get to make this story a reality.
Proper synopsis and more art on patreon (free)(don't worry), or just let me email you when it's out, if you like.
